THE ARENA & RULES:

The Sound Tournament: Quinn V.S. Kaito [No Kill] 1546614842-Dragon-Ball-Xenoverse-2-Screenshot-2018

The arena is a 100-meter by 100-meter square located in the center of Otogakure's gigantic Amphitheatre. Despite the arena's generic appearance, it has been modified in such a way that both Earth-Release and Water-Release techniques can be spawned from it at all times. The area is positioned in such a way that techniques reaching their maximum range cannot harm the spectators. Also, a special Iryojutsu barrier has been placed all around the arena, making it so that a player will simply pass out instead of dying should their HP go below 0.

RULES

Before the fight begins, players are to report to the center of the arena, and are expected to perform the Seal of Confrontation as a sign of respect and sportsmanship for each other. Once this is done, the players will retreat 25-meters opposite each other so that they are positioned 50-meters away from each other. The fight does not officially begin until the proctor of the fight says "Begin".
To keep power scaling normalized, each fighter will be bound to the limitations of a D-Rank character as described in the Dual Rank System.
At the beginning of the first post from each fighter, they must post their stat page in a spoiler and decide on their jutsu as limited in the rule above. Once posted, they are unable to use any jutsu that they didn't register in their first post. The fighters may use any and all equipment that they have on their stat page. This includes consumables.
To maintain the flow of combat, each combatant is expected to post within 72 hours of the previous post. After this time window, combatants may request additional time if needed. If a combatant fails to request additional time after the 72 hour period is up, the opposing combatant may "hour" their opponent and assume that the combatant failed to perform an action.
To further maintain the flow of combat, each combatant is limited to a total of 6 posts. If both players are still standing by the end of the combat, the winner will be determined by the amount of HP each combatant has left. If both players have equal HP at the end of the fight, it will be considered a draw.

Following the conclusion of the third match, Uchiha, Kaito yet again made his way back to the arena. This time, however, he brought with him his assistant that had joined him to the festival that evening. He would have an unprecedented surprise for those who were in attendance.

"That third match sure was one of the best I've ever seen, How about you all, huh?" Kaito began clapping, and the crowd followed. "For our fourth and final match of the night, I have a special surprise for everyone. First, lets bring our first competitor. You all may know her as one of the best smiths in all of the Land of Sky. Please welcome to the arena the forgemaster, the one and only Foster, Quinn!" The crowd erupted with cheer and applause as Quinn made her way up to the stage. Once she was in position, Kaito continued addressing the crowd. "Our second competitor is one that you all here this evening are familiar with. Please welcome to the arena the former Hellhound of Sunagakure, the False Inuzuka..." Kaito ripped off his formal cloak and his Otokage hat, revealing his battle attire and the Otogakure headband that he wore proudly upon his forehead. "Uchiha, Kaito!"

The Uchiha looked over to Quinn to garner her reaction. As he did so he handed his assistant the cloak and hat before facing Quinn. In turn, the assistant would speak up.

"Alright, you two. Whenever your ready, please make the Seal of Confrontation before stepping back 25-meters and facing each other again. The fight will not start until I say 'Begin', and remember not to hold back. I promise that neither of you will die this evening. Good luck to the both of you."

The assistant made her way off of the stage and into his seat within the Amphitheatre, where a microphone was situated. Once both of the genin were in position, he would clear his throat.

"Let the fourth and final match of the Sound Tournament begin!"

The Forgemaster:

Quinn entered the arena shortly after the 3rd match. It appeared that for whatever rhyme or reason, the Festival of Sound had saved Quinn for the Harmonic Showdown and the Sound Tournament last for both occasions. As someone who was typically first up, first in line, first to arrive, the shift to being present but not forthright was a change. Though Quinn observed such a fact, it was not wild for the shift to be considered. Quinn being the eldest out of both groups to participate knew that it was likely for a reason. Once out on the floor of the arena that was created for the affair, Quinn took particular note that Kaito's assistant was present. Raising an eyebrow as that was different from the previous matches. The Forgemaster would rattle their brain for an explanation.

Before the thought could finish, Kaito began announcing and introducing. With the titles being given and added, Quinn gave a smile as they stepped onto the platform to be present and ready for whoever was supposed to reveal themselves to be their opponent. The announcement of another village being involved definitely caught Quinn's attention. The fact that many came from Sunagakure would had lead Quinn to believe it was one of the elites participating but they could have sworn it was only Genin who had signed up. Upon the reveal, however, Quinn was quick to blink rapidly to assess the situation they had wound up in.

Facing off against the Kage of all people in a show match was not exactly what Quinn had signed up for. In fact, Quinn understood it as a way for the genin and other members to showcase what they have been able to pick up and learn. This quickly became a much higher threshold of requirements to keep up. Staring intently once Kaito finalized his position, Quinn closed their eyes before letting out a heavy breath. "I shall do my best. That is all." They stated adamantly, more for themselves and not at all for the crowd which began to cheer heavily as their leader, the Otokage, stepped into the ring with the Forgemaster.

Giving the Seal of Confrontation to Kaito, Quinn would turn and pull out their mace that they had recently taken a liking to over their old tool of a hammer. It was a needed upgrade and adjustment to keep up with the actual tools that were out and about. Once in position, the Forgemaster would turn and point their mace towards Kaito who had taken his spot. "Let's show Otogakure who we are!" Quinn shouted ready and confident that they were going to get wiped on the floor. There was a gap in experience, and Quinn would do their hardest to keep up.

UCHIHA, KAITO'S STAT PAGE:

Kaito had the feeling that, since Quinn was a practitioner of Bukijutsu, she would be fast.

Damn fast.

The Otokage had known a few different Bukijutsu practitioners, and with the knowledge he had from sparing with them during his time as a shinobi, he would have to adjust his typical fighting style. Speed, of course, had always been his weak point, so this was sure to be an interesting battle for sure.

Just as his assistant announced the beginning of the fight, Kaito would activate his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. As he did he would put one hand behind his back and the other he extended outwards, revealing an open palm facing upwards. With the hand behind his back he would again form the seal of confrontation, but this time was not to show comradery, rather it was to activate his 'Wind-Style: Wind Rejuvenation' technique. He could feel as his Vigor increased [175], as well as his speed [55].

"Show me your power, Quinn." The Otokage motioned with his visible open palm for the woman to attack. "Come at me."

Assessing the Otokage in their strengths was not something Quinn figured they would be doing upon this day. As they shifted their mace to let them make handseals, Tiger -> Boar -> Dog -> Rat, their hands would form them at full speed showing the prowess that Kaito was concerned about. Mace now in hand, and nothing in the other, Quinn quietly approached, infusing their body, they could feel their muscles tense up a bit. Walking at a brisk pace [65 Speed], the Forgemaster would near Kaito, approaching him. Range was not in Quinn's favor starting so far away but they kept a solid pace to be able to adjust as needed. Unsure what was needed, Quinn was aware they wanted to get this done quickly or they were going to be aiming to just remain standing by the end of the fight. There as much to consider as they looked at Kaito, his eyes shifting in design. This happened to be the first time seeing an Uchiha, let alone an Uchiha in battle. Rumor mills of what they were capable of were present but Quinn being heads down in their own world and job outside of being a Shinobi proved to be not a great option. Once in the center where all eyes could see, the Forgemaster made their move.

Always one for theatrics, Quinn's breathing became deeper as they lowered their stance, mace in hand drawn back. [+60/60 Speed/Strength; RCB-Stone Breathing Style] Looking towards Kaito, the Forgemaster bull rushed their way forward toward the man, undaunted and eyes locked and focused on his torso. Quickly [190 Speed], they launched themselves forward toward the Otokage. Ready to swing their mace during this burst aiming to cover 25m of distance between the two as quickly as possible their goal was simple, get in and strike. Keeping their lengthy body lower than standard, their free hand lingered by their side looking to strike as well. Once within range, Quinn's arm would extend out aiming to punch into the gut of Kaito [Simple Strike: Impact Power 85+30 from Tai Inf =115] Once the strike was performed however, Quinn would be ready and step even further forward should the man simply aim to doge as they reached out their with the hand that held the mace, aiming to 'chop', hit with the gripped hand, at his neck once within range. [190 Speed, Stunned for 2 posts if Connect (110 Power exceeds Kaito's Strength) & -30 Vigor/Speed otherwise if not stunned]

[Claiming hit and paralyze on Kaito for 2 posts. If armor is present then Quinn has broke Kaito’s armor, no damage goes through. If no armor is present then Kaito has taken over 100 damage accounting for DR. Otherwise he is debuffed -30 Vigor/Speed alongside the paralyze effect.]

Quinn’s efficient and speedy delivery of strikes brought Kaito down. The first strike with her fist made the man relinquish his breath and the secondary strike left Kaito paralyzed briefly. With Quinn standing alone from their strikes, they stood above the Otokage, aware there might be a trick up his sleeve, the Forgemaster maintained their abilities. Closing their eyes, they brought down their mace and fist into a double strike to finish the round unless a call out was made to stop their attacks or if in fact, Kaito had a trick up his sleeve. (190 Speed for both, 115 damage from fist, 95 from mace)

With two solid strikes on the way down towards the Otokage on the ground, Quinn quickly angled their mace's swing to rise back up as their fist landed on the chest of the Otokage. With the call being made that Quinn was the victor in a swift and quick bout, Quinn would offer a hand to Kaito to help him up. "If I broke anything. Apologies. Will repair what I can." The Forgemaster informed the man after presenting to him the Seal of Reconciliation. With victory swiftly claimed the crowd roared in excitement as Kaito allowed Quinn to showcase that once again through the festival, anyone could rise up and stand up and that not everyone is able to rest on their laurels. The older generation and newer generation within the village of Otogakure were bound to showcase the rise and fall of the shinobi arts being taught. As part of the proper first class of the academy, Quinn was a highlight showcase individual for the village to look upon. From there once Kaito stood up and the final call out were being presented, Quinn departed and went on their way, leaving no exiting introduction or any of the sort. Their mind was clouded with the idea and concepts at play as they were aware of Kaito's participation was more of an allowance to showcase their abilities. It was likely that even the Otokage had let Quinn showcase their strengths to sell the point of even the newest of genin within the village were able to do great things to defend against those who may seek to go after the village.

The Otokage was quick to fall to Quinn, and the woman was easily able to overcome him. This, of course, was due in part to the paralysis that had afflicted him, but also due in part to his weaknesses; speed and strength. Quinn would be someone that the Uchiha would for sure not want to come into conflict with in battle, and he was quite thankful for the fact that she was a fellow member of Otogakure and not, in fact, and enemy.

He would've died if that had been the case.

Once the 'fight', if it could even be considered as such, was over, Kaito would raise his arm and accept the offer of help from Quinn to get him back on his feet. As the Forgemaster offered to help repair any potentially broken bones, Kaito smiled and deactivated his still active Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Oh, nothing is broken, Ms. Foster," Kaito reassured the redheaded woman. "But I'm sure I'll be feeling it for the next few days." Kaito chuckled as to show that he was not downtrodden by his loss. In fact, he was quite pleased with Quinn's development as a shinobi. She never seemed to stop surprising Kaito, and for that matter he seemed like he was getting to know more and more about her with each encounter. Without a doubt, Kaito sure wouldn't mind promoting her to Chūnin on the spot, but such a thing would have to wait until she was more prepared.

Kaito wasted no time in accepting Quinn's off of the 'Seal of Reconciliation', and as the crowd began cheering and applauding the announcement of Quinn's win over the Otokage, Kaito blushed lightly.

"I must say, I really am proud of you, Quinn." Kaito blushed a bit more, noticing that without thinking he had called the woman by her first name rather than the typical 'Ms. Foster' that he had addressed her by. "You're development as a shinobi is unparalleled thus far amongst the village's shinobi, and you managed to beat me today fair and square without even breaking a sweat. Maybe someday soon you and I can spar without restriction unlike tonight." He winked, leaving the impression that he had much more up his sleeve should Quinn ever take him up on the offer of a no-limits fight before grabbing her wrist and holding her arm high into the sky and turning towards the crowd. "Lets give another round of applause for the winner of our last match for the night, Ms. Quinn Foster!"

The crowd again erupted into applause, and shortly thereafter the festival began coming to a close for the night.

The first annual Festival of Sound had been, what Kaito could call, a major success, and he was more than ready for the event that was sure to come the following year.
