The Sound Tournament: Ronin V.S. Tatsuya [No Kill]

The Phantom Puppeteer:

A nearly full moon was in bloom; waxing. It's white ethereal light hanging down from high, illuminating the dark night sky with a dim and faint glow. An eerie tint of silver, which strung through the air like barbs. Throughout which, the hum of cicadas and nightingales. Also clinging to the breeze. Hoping to be heard onward forever. Their sounds buzzing in a harmonious delight of a peaceful chorus. Bouncing off one another. And, as the saying goes, as above, so below. Streets and walkways were currently being lit up with golden rays of string lights, bright and fun. Casting away anything which would be dim and dreary. Their rays brilliantly guiding villagers throughout where a festival was currently being held. An amalgamation of people could be heard all in sync with one another; walking, talking, playing instruments. Overall just having a grand old time.

It was the final night of this ongoing festival. One that many had been looking at for, primarily because of it's main event for the evening. A good old fashion tournament in blood sport. Albeit, an extremely modified version, so as to protect the livelihoods of those competing. A just way to go about doing things if Ronin Shinkou did say so himself. Speaking of which, the night for him was only just beginning. The 27 year old had signed himself up for this tournament on a whim. There was no other better real thing to do in his spare time, besides, a fight or two never hurt. It didn't involve talking at least. But; boy oh boy was he still nervous. All of those people were gonna be watching. And, upon sitting in the arena, hearing his name being called up as the first fight; well that practically sent him into a spiral. The immense pressure which had already been there nagging away like an old nan trying to find her glasses, was now only amplified by...going...first...sigh. It couldn't be helped though.

Garbed in the typical all black and gold attire in which he normally wore, very reluctantly and shyly, the lad would make his way over to the gargantuan center platform which made up the space in which people would be fighting on. Smack dab in the center, already stood atop it was the announcer for tonight's games, and Otogakure's very own Kage; Kaito Uchiha. Although, the name of his opponent was unfamiliar. Ronin knew the name, but had never actually met the man. Nor could a face be put to it. At least for now. Things would change once the other Uchiha would also find his way up on the center stage. Both of Ronin's puppets would be there with himself as well, the Many Handed One currently positioned to be carried like a one strap backpack; Joy on the other hand, was simply being carried in both hands, before being set to the left side, about 5 meters away from where he'd eventually end up after the two of them would perform the pre-show rites of respects.

Once ready, he'd meet his opponent in the center. Perform the Seal of Confrontation. Then move 25 meters in the opposite direction of the Uchiha. From there, he'd wait. They'd be off the races once the word was given. Although, as shy as he may be and as quiet as he speaks, Ronin couldn't help but feel like he wanted to start things off from with bang.

There would be a begin, but the Shinkou; with his experience knew it was oftentimes better, especially in these tournament style situations to not make the first move in combat. And so, he'd let his opponent do the work for him. Maintaining vision on the Uchiha by watching the way his arms would surge upwards, starting to form seals. After the mist would be formed, there would still be nothing too major; no movements at the very least Ronin wouldn't be standing there tactically or confidently, at least not outwardly displaying so. Just simply waiting. The only thing besides this was activating his Meigan which would allow him to see Tatsuya's chakra signature within the cloud. Overall, the disposition of the puppeteer could be described as 'bored' so to speak. All the big flashy spectacle and show to this amount just wasn't up his alley. To each their own, everyone had to have their thing. Showmanship was clearly the opponents. However, this didn't always end up so well for said person.

A few more indistinguishable movements of Tatsuya's arms being read via the Meigan's chakra vision would be seen. After their completion he would...jump? Oh, how quaint. This made things that much easier on Ronin. A window of opportunity would arise. Allowing for a countermeasure to the incoming onslaught of man and metal. After the Sharingan wielder would be seen moving through the air in the direction of the Meiton Release user, he'd now start to fully begin. First, a lesson on why these dolls were made to kill. Activating his clans hidden technique, Monster, Ronin would find both his Chakra and Speed bolstered; promptly using this boost to move 3 meters to the northeast (Tatsuya's side of the field, towards his left). This movement alone would be enough to dodge not only the incoming kunai, luckily, but it would also dodge what was to come from the formerly affiliated Fang shinobi's own attack. With a single, fluid motion while moving in the previously mentioned direction, 5 chakra threads would attach themselves to The Many Handed from his right hand.

A few things would occur thereafter. First, quickly calculating whereabouts Tatsuya would inevitably end up in the air. Second, after this was done, the Phantom Puppeteer would flick a few fingers, and the 10 smaller arms of the puppet which was currently clinging onto the back of Ronin by it's 2 main arms, would rise in the air as if hailing a divinity or some heavenly sovereign. Before each one would dislocate where the elbow would be, and 3 larger arms would be summoned forth from each of those 10. Altogether, it would form a cylinder that as 5 meters in it's total diameter, stretching outwards towards where Ronin was originally standing, and upwards towards where the other fighter would eventually reach. The next phase of the attack would be timed to go off right after the mechanism was activated, when his opponent would be essentially right overhead, gazing downward to presumably send an attack of his own. Without handseals, a cloak of deep blue chakra would enshroud the former wanderer. Gazing at it would cause the Uchiha to become both blinded and paralyzed. Unaware that the flurry of 30 incoming wooden arms was now en route to where Tatsuya would then be falling downwards, practically unable to do anything. The Many Handed, Hand Cannon would have enough power behind it to fully knock his fellow Oto nin out, thusly ending this match. Hopefully, that was.

Still, Ronin would remain ever diligent in the off chance that Tatsuya would manage to pull through.

Combat Stuff:

Just like that, the battle would be over before it could even begin really.

Both attacks; the genjutsu paralysis/blind and the intricate mechanism of the puppet which summoned a multitude of arms from only a few, would have made their marks against the Uchiha opponent. Knocking him out cold almost the second contact would be made. To this, Ronin would give no reaction. Just staring at the man who was now laying there, quieter than before, upon the cold slated ground of the amphitheater's floor. Shrugging the Many Handed One off of his shoulders, he'd very casually, given the fact that he was just in a fight, walk over to where the 3 senbon thrown by Tatsuya would have inevitably landed from reaching their max distance, and gather them off the ground. Once these were obtained, he'd move back towards the other fighter, crouching down to slump him now over his shoulders. Even though there were light insults thrown his way at the beginning of combat, it was all done in good fun. At the end of the day, the opponent within this match up was still an ally anyways, so they had to be taken care of once it would all come to an end. His unconscious body would be carried back over to Lord Kaito, and the 27 year old would stand there in front of him for a moment, just letting any silence which had taken hold die out on his own. His calm voice would say light and crisply like the cool autumn air, "My apologies if he sustains any lasting injuries. Sometimes, I get ahead of myself."

Whenever directed to then, he would give Tatsuya and his senbon back over to the match's announcer and Kage of the village, gather his own things, and be on his way back towards where he was seated in the crowd; unless there was more which needed to be done on the stage.
