Backstory: A storied secret technique of those who study the physical arts, featuring heavily in non-shinobi's imaginations over the years.

What it does: While this technique is active, the user gains the following benefits.

  • If the user is jumping or otherwise moving through the air under their own power, they have active control over their trajectory within their jumping distance and direction, and may freely twist and turn midair or drop straight down. However, they cannot change the direction of a jump greater than 90 degrees.
  • The user may jump off of improbable platforms midair, such as kunai or falling leaves, and similarly walk on surfaces that should not support their weight. This covers all of the same functions of Surface Walking in addition to allowing them to run on, for example, thin tree branches or raindrops. If moving on such an improbable surface, the user will begin to fall if they stop moving.
  • The user may lower their falling speed to a minimum of 1.
  • The user does not take fall damage.

The user only retains these benefits when they are within 15m above the elevation they activated the technique. Surpassing this height limit will put this technique onto cooldown.
