Enishi's Stats:

[Entering from this topic]

Reverting to his typical ginger-haired and exotic appearance once he reached the Heaven Country Borders, Enishi Kurosawa had no need to keep his "Wraith" transformation active now that he was in enemy territory. Even though no one could sense his chakra because Walkure's suppression feature remained as a passive effect, the Understudy had different avenues in mind for his plan. The target was the leader of a grave-robbing criminal syndicate who coveted the DNA of powerful warriors in hopes of using their power for nefarious intentions. For the safety of Hoshigakure, such sacrilegious deeds couldn't go unpunished. The graverobbing gang would likely know some information about members of the Nova Corps and thus would keep their eyes open if someone from the Nova Corps was assigned to hunt them down. It wouldn't be unreasonable to then infer that they would jump on the possibility to kill a Nova Corps member in their territory, especially if they had a notable bloodline. This logical inference powered Enishi's strategy.

Using himself as bait to draw out his target: the enemy leader.

The mission letter gave him details on where and when the enemy leader would be coming back from their negotiations to arrive at the hideout as well as their general route, so Enishi would start his informal stakeout at a clearing the leader usually passed. He already visualized and memorized the map of the Heaven Country Borders as backup, so there shouldn't be a big issue in his strategy. The ginger arrived at the clearing that separated the route from the hideout. The clearing was about 80m in radius with trees of varying sizes surrounding the outside of the clearing, essentially being some sort of makeshift "arena" as weird as it sounded given that it was supposed to be used as a passage. Enishi entered from the south part of the clearing - in the 6'oclock direction. Inside the clearing possessed nothing like additional trees, environmental objects, or obstacles that would inhibit Enishi's movement or sight. With that being said, the Sage would quickly head to the center (max speed) of the clearing by walking forward, now being 40m from all edges of the radial area. His Chakra Sensory would be active, 5m in all directions as extra backup, and he would remain vigilant in paying attention to his surroundings.

Just as before he left Hoshigakure for the village, Enishi would make sure to adorn everything correctly (as stated on the stat page), except that the Semi-Armored Form of Walkure would be equipped at this moment and not Nise, hood over his head but not in a manner that would obscure his vision. This would allow for his chakra to be completely suppressed. His Berserker Mask wouldn't be present for today. Hiramekarei in its wrapped state would be holstered on his back in a diagonally right fashion, and his sheathed Arondight would be holstered on the back in a diagonally left manner. The two swords would be orientated in how most people would equip twinswords and dual-wielding blades on their back. His seals, Ninja Sealing Bands, and miscellaneous accessories would be worn in their correct manners as well.

The Seraph would stand and await for the threat, the enemy leader, to arrive.

Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter] Empty Re: Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter]

The Craven Apostate:

It was to be expected, when Fuyuto “the Craven Apostate” Yuki walked out the doors of the hideout, and shortly into the clearing like area that was only a few meters away; if a person was looking south bound. So, coming into said clearing from the north, spotted right in the center of the field, was a lone shinobi. The crime lord couldn’t help but smirk upon seeing the armor in which the would-be attacker, would be wearing. One that indicated their status amongst a group of Hoshi nin, known only as the Nova Corps. A pesky group of nin from the village within Haven, but one that would put up a good fight at least.

He knew the reason all to well as to why he was being hunted. People didn’t take a liking to others who found easier routes to power or money or success or whatever their fancy. People didn’t like when it was their dead that had to sometimes go towards this cause. However, the grave robbing was basically harmless. What need of money or jewels or other earthly possessions does a corpse have? Some people who were still alive had much more of a need for them. The Yuki thought of himself as a helper to these kinds of people, seeing himself as a Robin Hood type of folk hero. But, the surface wasn’t as it all seemed, thus leading back to the reason mentioned earlier. To be quite honest, there wasn’t really any corpse left with how desecrated they were. Such was the craven’s needs; limitless power and knowledge of other clans. He managed a side gig of organ harvesting, disposing of what was left of any bodies to erase evidence left such as fingerprints.

Finally; was the only thought within this moment.

But words and actions spoke differently. ”Leave it up to a Kage to send a child to do their dirty work. So, tell me; shall you heed his words? Or, step aside-“ His hands would flicker through several different seals while simultaneously another technique would be activated without using handseals, after which his body would start to become invisible. In the moment before this would fully happen his sentence would finish ”-and I might just spare you.” And upon saying that, Yuto would be fully invisible, on all fronts of the word; a high level invisibility technique clearly being used as he essentially was like a ghost while it would be active. Being undetectable and untraceable via chakra signature, heat signature, smell, sound.

Now the fun could truly begin. Knowing that they wouldn’t have too long with the invisibility, Yuto would begin to advance by walking towards the southwest; this way it would make finding his position harder.

Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter] Empty Re: Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter]

A blank expression befell the Sage as he noticed someone entering the clearing from the north side, conveniently the side at which he was already facing. Judging by a cursory glance of his appearance, and the time of his arrival, this was the enemy leader: "The Craven Apostate." With an average frame, an average height, but striking white hair and blue eyes, the mission file precisely detailed what stood before Enishi's eyes. There was no doubt that the enemy understood what was happening. An armored shinobi standing before him in an empty clearing — his typical route — was more than enough information to know that he was being intercepted, likely by another village. Well, Enishi didn't care if the man understood what position he was in. Hoshigakure deemed that it was time for him to die; whether he was strong enough to evade the ire of the village... would be something Enishi would test with pleasure. Thankfully, the man felt the embers of battle firing up within the atmosphere judging by his body language, as he began to speak about the cowardice of Kage and using shinobi — even children —  to fulfill their dirty work. The enemy leader felt generous enough to even give the Understudy a chance to abandon his mission but in mid-speech...

He weaved an assortment of handseals and disappeared.

The moment the man began to fade out of vision, the Seraph flowed a generous amount of chakra in his right eye, once ice-blue would morph into a scarlet hue instantly with three black tomoes spiraling and etching in a circular formation around the centered pupil, taking in all of the surrounding environment. By the time his sight in the right eye altered, the man fully disappeared from his sight. Oddly enough, not even the Sharingan was enough to see through the man's ability and pinpoint his chakra. It was as if he erased his presence entirely... This can get dicey quickly. Enishi precipitously thought, running countless simulations in his head on how the fight should go on next. Shrouding, invisibility, and cloaking, abilities like these are rather dangerous to face. Well, there was a way. He had already fought someone before who could use these types of shrouding techniques. It was fruitless trying to "break" the technique, but there was a way to see them despite the technique being active. It was worth a shot.

Immediately after the Sharingan would prove fruitless to detect the snow-haired criminal's chakra, the Seraph rapidly weaved eight handseals. Suddenly, the clear sky would miraculously be filled with heavy clouds as a steady deluge descended, twenty-five meters in all directions, centered directly above the Sage of Pleiades. The rain was not intense enough to dull either shinobi’s visibility nor encompass the entire arena, yet it spanned across such a large range that if the man ever wanted to get in an acceptable distance, he would have to pass through the rain. While this did provide a useful water source for Enishi to use, the hidden plan behind the jutsu was to force the Craven Apostate to reveal himself, if this wasn't a Genjutsu. Rain would inexorably impact someone's body unless they were intangible, and if their visual presence was removed, the rain would create a visible outline of someone's frame. For the enemy leader, this meant that as long as they stepped into the rain, Enishi would be able to see their outline and pinpoint their exact movements with the aid of his right eye. He didn't know where the main exactly was at this time, but he knew for sure that this range would undoubtedly reveal the man's location and outline.

Studying the field and keeping his Chakra Sensory activated to react to anything of sudden notice, Enishi would have to play on the defensive for the time being, but this didn't mean he was entirely defenseless.

Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter] Empty Re: Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter]

Hmmph.

The Seraph certainly showed no remorse. One thing was clear, and that was that. But, Yuto liked that. Had the Wraith had actually done what was told, he could’ve seen the shinobi making an excellent component of the little band that they had going on. But such was the way of things. For a nin to be…stuck in their own ways, if that was the right phrase to even designate for the situation at hand. While commendable that Eni’s loyalty to Hoshigakure shown through and through, it might also wind up leading to his downfall. Everything was all there too, the teen was a warrior at heart. Which is what was about to make this a good fight, and the Yuki knew this. At least some entertainment would be provided for the day.

But…

His movement would eventually come to a halt as the lone man in the center would proceed to activate his own technique. Rain would downpour on all sides of his man, as if the angel had pulled forth storm clouds from the very heavens themselves. This would start to occur while he’d be within 27 meters of the man; so outside the 25 meter area where all of it would come crashing down to. He’s smart. The Craven Apostate would think to himself as there was now this slight predicament. Fuyuto has been around long enough to know what happens when a person stepped inside the rain. It made them visible by default, so while he’d be invisible this would need to be avoided or, at the very least, simply worked around. The white haired lad would calmly move forward to the precipice of the rainy area however, so that way he was right along the edge outside of the rain and still not visible.

He knew, what precisely, he had to do.

The leader of the Syndicate would weave some handseals, and then…the rain would freeze suddenly. Everything would for that matter of fact, within a 25 meter radius of Yuto. It was a risk, as this could possibly give up his location. But one that would still take a great deal of calculation and effort into actually figuring it all out, as the area of effect was relatively large. Given that it would also move once the illusionist would also start to move. It should also be noted, the rain nor the technique would end because of it being frozen. But, it was less sporadic than before. Just enough so that walking through it could be doable, so long as it was done fast.

However, for his next trick…he wouldn’t even need to do that.

Standing there, unseen at the edge, almost in a viciously mocking way; Yuto would maneuver through some more handseals. Each motion of the interlocking fingers fluidly moving in tandem into the next one. Five ice spears would emerge in different spots from the hail that was coming down, all positioned in front of the man though. While it could have been an easy confirmed hit by positioning them behind; there was no fun to be had in that. So, each five would lash forward 4 meters in an attempts to hit their target, with each one being approximately 1 meter thick, and 5 meters in length; more than enough to skewer him should he not be able to dodge in time.

Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter] Empty Re: Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter]

[P.S: Yall give NJ a reward for being the most patient and benevolent person on NRPG, blud should have houred me months ago LMFAO]

Well, this was surprising.

Enishi certainly didn't expect the rain he summoned to start freezing out of nowhere. He had never seen such an ability before even after fighting countless people, and he was mostly sure that this wasn't a Genjutsu because his Sharingan wasn't acting up. This meant that this was reality. Through some means whether through Kekkei Genkai or sheer innovation, this guy was able to freeze the weather. Not only that, but Enishi's Sharingan picked up a source of chakra expanding at a high speed in the form of a sphere, just close to 25m in front of him. Judging by how the rain was freezing as the chakra sphere expanded, it was clear that this sphere was the cause of the freezing. Not only that but the way it expanded out of some specified point made Enishi wonder whether the invisible man was positioned at the center of the sphere...well, it wasn't a sound deduction to make as it could just be a spawning point and the man could just be hiding somewhere else. In any case, the sphere didn't seem to be that strong or harmful, and if it was that annoying to deal with, he had a few seals to absorb them.

Suddenly, five ice spears emerged from the assailing hail in front of Enishi; each five would lash 4 meters in an attempt to pierce through Enish, with each one being roughly 1 meter thick, and 5 meters in length. They were fast, but they weren't fast enough for Enishi to not be able to counter. Enishi merely did not want to waste time and immediately sprung into battle - unleashing the wrath of Grand Chariot. Exchanging power for some recoil damage, a surging aura of cobalt would instantly encase the Wraith and all of his equipment in a burst of glory — the aura defending against any debilitating effects his opponent attempted to unleash while also boosting his capabilities. This helped him perform his next action, drawing Hiramekarei quickly with both hands from the right as the bandages unraveled, swinging horizontally right. Hiramekarei itself wouldn't impact the spears, no, it was something much different. The blade — the extension of the Seraph's soul immediately displaced the air currents surrounding him, expanding outwards and outwards in a violent squall of air force, stopping five meters in a spherical radius around the Wraith. Anything occupying that space, spare for the creator and his equipment, was sawed to nothingness. The hail, suspended dirt, insects, and more noticeably, the ice spears that would attempt to pierce Enishi — shattering and turning into mere water particles, effortlessly defending the male from the invisible man's cloaked assault. Sky Shredding Dragon was a success.

Wasting no time after effortlessly destroying the ice spears, Enishi would dash forward, towards the expanding chakra sphere the man created, trying to cover as much distance as he could. He needed to spot the man somewhere, using his Sharingan to focus on any openings that the invisible man could have while protected by his conjured Sky Shredding Dragon. He shouldn't be that far away if the chakra sphere was centered just close to 25m in front of the Wraith...

As always, he would be diligent, ready to react to any pervading stimuli or change his actions on the fly while also maintaining his passive Chakra Sensory range.

Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter] Empty Re: Scourging The Pillagers [Highstakes Hunter]

Sat Jan 06, 2024 9:52 pm
This one might prove to be easier to dispose of than expected.

Was the thought currently racing across Yuto’s mind in this moment. Watching the cascade of rain easily turn to hail, the ground layered in a coating of frost, his attack almost about to land…almost, that is.

It was going perfectly up until the moment when the Wraith would be seen performing his own series of defensive maneuvers. The blade in particular was something…eye catching to say the least. If the Yuki managed to wind up being the victor of the impromptu battle between the two, it would definitely be a weapon worth taking. Possibly even selling it to make a buck on the black market. Heavens knew the Craven Apostate wouldn’t be able to actually wield the blade itself in that matter though, not at least to the caliber in which it was being wielded by it’s current holder. He must be a weaponry expert. Makes this easier as I can keep a distance.

As the air currents picked up, shattering all that was being frozen currently, Fuyuto would simply end his Organic Ice Particle Technique due to it not having the intended effect that was desired; whatever destroyed it, to begin with, was something active as the winds up to 5 meters around the Hoshi nin were still in a slight rage. This inadvertently would also drop the means for the currently invisible crime lord to be tracked, at least presently, as there would no longer be the burst of chakra surrounding himself. At least for the time being. And this time would then be used to relocate and readjust slightly.

Sticking to remaining outside of the rainfall, the man would run 5 meters around it’s edge going to the left. He’d be making handseals while moving that way, as well as activating as different technique without the use of hands seeing as he was no longer feeling as enhanced as before.

The first thing to occur would be a visible miniature storm that would echo and brim outwards to 10 meters on all sides of the Yuki, and while it wouldn’t be visible yet, a layer of frost would also coat over his body during this time. While the small blizzard forming would hopefully act as a distraction to keep Eni’s attention, the handseals that Fuyuto previously did would now trigger. Almost simultaneously, a Chinese Dragon would spring forth from the Rain Tiger At Will, being directly 6 meters to the Hoshi Shinobi’s right. As it was even being formed there wouldn’t be a second wasted; it would come barreling towards him at full force, with both its power and speed being extremely volatile due to the technique being seemingly amplified as well by another. It would undoubtedly be able to charge through the air currents, and if it managed to actually chomp down on its designated target, they would be taking substantial damage as well as being caked in permafrost. Also, if contact had been made, for good measure, part of it’s 20 meter long body would attempt to wrap partially around Eni in an attempt to immobilize him.

After doing so, he’d remain alert and ready for what could possibly happen next.
