(Sorry for the wait. Life got in the way. :/)

Korosu took a seat by the Jounin, smiling softly as she remembered her son's antics. Even when he was just plain rotten.... Oh, how she loved that little boy. She was totally lost in her musings until she heard the question. That's when her mood visibly darkened. "I... No, I'm not. The father of my son, the love of my life, was killed by my captors of several years the day I found out I was pregnant. I't been nearly six years, so... I'm okay," the Chuunin said, eyes dark. She took a deep, cleansing breath, a bit of the bleakness lifting from the scarlet orbs. Under her breath, the quietly muttered, "At least I tell myself I am..."

Rakka mentally slapped herself. Of COURSE her husband was dead… well... maybe she could get this woman to play for her team yet. Rakka would put her hand on Korosu’s shoulder, trying to comfort her.
”Sorry for asking… I didn’t mean to bring something like that up.” She apologized. She would thenquickly change the subject, using her free hand to make an intricate sculpture out of her ice, to model what she wanted her house to look like. It began with a huge pillar of ice, with a staircase spiraling around it, leading up to the house on the top. The walls of the house would be wooden, with bricks on the side the chimney was located on. While it wasn’t necessary to Rakka, it would make… “Guests” feel welcome. As she finished this thought, she glanced back at Korosu.
”So I was thinking wooden walls, and bricks on the south side, with a chimney attached. The roof can be tile, She said as she pointed to various parts of the house. ”And the floors can be… Hmm…” She said, scratching her head. ”What should I make the floors out of, carpet?” She wondered aloud, before seeing an opportunity. ”I haven’t had carpet in a house for so long… maybe we could go back to your place and you could show me yours?” She would say to Korosu nonchalantly.

Korosu smiled thankfully at the comforting hand on her back. Upon the subject of flooring, she tried to remember what she had. oh, that's right. "Sorry Rakka, our house has tile flooring. My son is a bit clumsy, and carpeting stains easy. Oh, and by the way, I was never actually married. He was my to-be fiancé, if that makes any sense..." the woman said, looking out over the snow and into the icy lake. She pushed herself off of the chair and began walking forward. "However, I do have a few flooring idea's that might be-" she said as she turned to face Rakka. She was cut off, though, as she slipped foreword. Her lip hit the edge of the chair and immediately a bump began to form. She landed on her butt a bit sloppily. "OW, mother freaking-" the woman cursed, though it seemed she was used to censoring her vocabulary. She slowly stood and sat back down int he chair, hands over her pained mouth.

(sorry, ran out of ideas.)

Rakka would raise an eyebrow at Korosu. ‘Carpet stains easily’… Ahh… So she didn’t like making a mess? She was speaking in code like this to keep Jin’s prying ears out of their secret conversation, no doubt.
”Ahhh…” She muttered to herself. ”I see. Well, I imagine it would be much easier to clean the carpet at my house then yours, since I don’t have kids.” She would say in this coded language they were using. This was going much better then expected. Normally, it was very difficult to get a woman like this to bite on her metaphorical fish hook. She would jump slightly as Korosu fell back, cursing as she, apparently, bit her lip.
”Are you ok?” Asked Rakka. With her left hand still on the older woman’s shoulder, she would scoot closer to her, whispering into her ear so that Jin would not hear.
”Would you like me to kiss it better?” She would ask Korosu quietly, cupping her right hand over her mouth so Jin couldn’t read her lips.

Korosu was immediately snapped out of her funk at Rakka's last... interjection. She childishly scooted away from the Jounin, scarlet eyes widened. Though a bit jumbled from her swollen lip, she said hastily, "Ah, no thanks. I don't swing that way..." She blinked hard, still eyeing the blue-haired girl. "I'm also 23. Too old for you, honey," the added, strengthening her last statement. And this whole time, I thought she liked Jin, the raven thought, a bit surprised at this whole thing. Well then. She bit her lip softly, trying to be mindful of the pain. Ugh, whyyy did she have to be born so dang irresistible?!

Rakka jolted slightly as Korosu scooted away quickly. She thought she’d done everything right so far… It had been going so well… Maybe she was just having second thoughts. She could fix this.
”23 is not too old. It’s only a six year’s difference, and I’m mentally much older then 17. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have given me my rank.” She would explain in a mature tone, trying to reassure the surely nervous Korosu. Rakka would wink at Korosu, making another hand sign, and going back to her sculpture of her soon-to-be home. The roof would be left missing so that the rooms could be seen in the house. The bed, which was formerly a simple twin bed, would change form, changing into a large double bed. A fireplace would be added to the wall, and large curtains would be put in front of the windows. As she did this, she would look back to Korosu, trying to convince her to quit playing hard to get. ”Are you just afraid to start a new relationship after so long?” She would inquire, glancing back at her ice sculpture.

Korosu dead-panned. "Well then, by that logic I am around 35 at the very least," she retorted. "And no, I'm not afraid. I don't fear anything except losing my son, the only thing I have left of the man I love." Really, what was so hard to grasp about this situation? She wasn't into girls, end of story. She was in to guys, namely her late love. Hello, goodbye, game's over, not into you. What did she not get about that?

Building the Batcave (P, NK, IO) - Page 2 Empty Re: Building the Batcave (P, NK, IO)

Sun Nov 24, 2013 12:00 am
Rakka’s jaw opened slightly at Korosu’s remark. Had she just… insulted her? In love or not, Rakka’s ego was a fragile thing, her sense of pride often overruled her heart, and her mind. As soon as Korosu finished her remark about her own age, Rakka would snap back.
”Well, I outrank you, Korosu.” She would say to the Chunin. She was, of course, aware of her rank, as Yukigakure was generally a very small village, she’d taken the liberty of reading up on each ninja in town. Angered by her rejection, Rakka would clench her fist as the ice under her control slowly degraded, the half of the chair she’d been sitting in crumbling beneath her as she stood, lifting her hand out as she walked to the bay of ice, making a sort of dock for herself, which formed with each step she took.
”I’m going back to work.” She would say as she walked. At the end of her little ice path, she would step across the water, using the surface walking technique to keep herself afloat. She continued until she was back at the center of the lake, where her original, somewhat pathetic block of ice still floated. ”Now, if you’d be so inclined to help, I need to build the base first. After that, you guys can probably help me make the house itself.” She would say, not looking back. Without a second thought, she would hold her breath, and dive into the water.

Down below the surface, she swam towards the bottom of the lake. This was when she realized she would not last all that long like this. She would swim back up, taking one more deep breath, and clapping her hands together, forming a bell shaped piece of ice with a pocket on the inside. Diving back down, she pulled the ice bell along with her, which gathered a sort of air pocket in it, working as a diving bell. She would swim quickly back under it, taking a deep breath of air, and peeking her head out, her feet quickly following suit. Thrusting out her palms, she began to form blocks of ice, making a sort of foundation. Each block would be about four meters in any direction, and while they were relatively large, it was not what she wanted, exactly. Still, it would work well for forming her foundation. She formed a second, third, and fourth block, going back to the diving bell every so often for air. She laid the foundation in with her blocks stacked, making the total width twelve meters in any direction. Forming block after block, Rakka quickly and efficiently made her way to the surface, forming her block foundation below as she swam to the top.

When the foundation was finally finished, the girl would return to the surface, taking a deep breath of air. The entire process would take about ten minutes or so, and the result was a large platform of ice in the middle of the lake, raising her hands up, she shot flat, sharp blades of ice across the surface, effectively sanding the ice, and combining the blocks into a smooth surface. Sighing, the Yuki girl sat down on her ice, trying to figure how she would build the rest of the place up. Making it from blocks like this lacked the certain… appeal… she desired. Maybe… Just maybe… She could do it this time…

”Stand back!” She would say, throwing her hands back dramatically, assuming one of the two were anywhere near her. As she said this, she would throw back her arms dramatically, preparing her reserves of ice chakra for a second attempt at what she’d originally tried. She closed her eyes as she concentrated. To get this far was impressive, to say the least, and she felt like she was only going to get better with this. The other two, they had seen, to a small extent, her abilities of ice manipulation. Still, maybe they had not yet made the connection, not yet realized she wasn’t just using jutsu to form the ice… it was bending to her will, forcing both air and water to combine, working in harmony to produce her creations. She wasn’t making it from a predetermined jutsu, nor was she simply forming it from her chakra. She was imposing her will on it, bending the elements to suit her needs. In effect, she was a goddess of ice.

She would then slowly start to pull her outstretched hands towards each other, preparing to release the ice chakra. She then thrust her hands upward, as if pulling the ice from underneath her, from below the base of blocks she’d made. On command, her ice would rush up, forming a pillar of ice, carrying Rakka with it. As the ice rose up, she walked around the pillar in a spiral motion, creating a spiral staircase around the sides of the pillar, leading up to the very top. She glanced down from the top of her pillar.
”…Not high enough.” She would mutter, turning back, and beginning to form another pillar on top of the first, fusing them the same way she had with the foundation. At the very end, she stood overlooking quite a large expanse of land. From where she stood, the village could be seen. She would slide off the edge, kicking off the spiral staircase, and landing on the water a little ways from the beach. ”Alright, let’s get the supplies up there.” She would say.

Oh dear jesus...

As jin regained consciousness, (Apparently he had been asleep WHILE standing up, with his eyes open infact) he let out a shreek and shot backwards. "W.w..w.what!! HOW IS THAT ICE THERE! WHERE AM I. OH GOD," and after that fell. hitting his head on the ground and raising it. looking right at the events that had transpired, and whom was around.

”Alright, let’s get the supplies up there.”

is what jin had heard then. and with that he stood up. shaking snow off of his head. that happened to now linger in his hair. Rapidly he walked to the cart and started hauling it toward the stairs. and with that, pulling it up said staircase.

Korosu shot a glare at Rakka, the scarlet color of her eyes only intensifying it. "So what, Yuki? I have a lot more to worry about than looking strong for all the cute boys, or should I say girls in your case. I spend my time being a mother to a small child rather than playing spin the bottle with a bunch of people I've barely known for half an hour, thank you very much," she retorted, purposely referring to Rakka by her last name. It was then that she noticed Jin was no longer asleep. "So the baka-ninja awakes! Welcome back to the Land of the Living, Jin!" she said, sarcastic enthusiasm evident in her voice. She stood up and stiffly walked through the snow to the Academy Student and help him begin lugging it up the steps. The tower was pretty impressive, to be honest, but she would never tell.
