Chapter 1: Near the brink of Inner Truth(Open; NK)

And so it began as the young boy ran through the snow he began to fumble and wobble as the cold began to reach his inner organs. Suddenly Near would fall to the ground, the snow in his hair and face he would begin to growl. He would begin to think to himself 'The hell... this fucking place filled with nothing but snow.. snow snow and more fucking snow....' He would push up and begin to crawl toward what had looked much like a cottage. As he touched the wood he would push the door open and use the door to stand up. As he looked into the darkness of the cottage he saw a beast. Its red eyes and its snarling growl caused a little fear to come into the heart of the young Near. Backing away his hands began to make hand seals as his hair would grow to great extents as the beast would jump, the last thing that Near would see were his fangs. Seconds later the whole front part of the cottage had been wreaked and the beast was dead upon the ground. Inside the cottage was the blood of humans, humans the great beast fed upon. As the cottage's support had fell so would the whole cottage cause a large crash to occur. "Fucking hell" Near would say to himself.

Demetri was standing in his office looking out the window as he saw something most would think not of, a large uprising in snow. He would normally shrug it off but instead thought it would be better to go and take a look to be safe. It seemed that Rakka was not here nor did he have anyone else to go and scout so off he headed. The snow was falling at a nice pace as he left his office, not enough to be considered a storm but just a gentle fall, his hair would slowly turn white as he dashed out of the village. It would not be long until he came close to the place that had fallen down and a beast slain outside of it while a young man, who looked a few years younger than Demetri himself, stood with his hair covered in snow. Carefully Demetri drew closer to the boy stopping at 10 meters away and calling out to him. "What happened here?" He asked he knew not whether this man was friend or foe and he could not tell what village he was from as the headband was hidden as he stood behind him.

Near would slightly turn as he heard foot steps in the snow. Near's hair was now in its normal position but the snow, which slightly blended in with the snow. Near would completely turn to the man that appeared unto him. 10 meters away Near would notice, the distance why such a distance. Near would begin to step toward the man slowly talking to him as a way to show to him that he had been no harm. "I came here in search.... in search of the heart of the ice.. only to find the heart of a beast feeding on the hearts of humans... Are you from this nearby village?.... The village hidden in the snow... i guess they would call it. Because this snow covers it more then.. anything...." Near would say in his dull voice as he stopped at a point that would equal a 7 meter point between the too. "What is your name?...."

'Heart of ice....is he referring to me?' Demetri asked himself as the boy drew closer to him stopping seven meters away. "Aye i am from Yukigakure, the village hidden in the snow, I am Demetri Kori....Now whom might you and what village are you from?" Demetri asked as he still kept his distance although he closed the distance two more meters making to where they stood five meters apart now. His slightly purple hair which was tinted with the snow began to blow in the breeze as he watched the boy in front of him wanting to make sure he tried nothing, it took awhile for him to warm up to people that would be thanks to his dad. He looked for his head band but saw no sign of it 'Why not have it on? is he just an academy student that ran from his home village?' he thought to himself as he waited on the boy to answer.

"A village.. I come from a land that you neighbor.. Iwagakure. I am of the family that reaches the heavens and falls back to the ground.... my family has been born of the blood of the humans and the angels... My name is Resonate... River..." Near said as he would begin to walk around the man named Demetri in a counter-clockwise motion. He would study his body and his reactions as he would utter the few simple words. "I am an Angel sent to save your life." Near said with his words that meant little to nothing to him, but who could tell that from his blank facial expression and the way his body hardly reacted to things. Near would suddenly stop in his tracks in front of the man and cough, the cold was beginning to effect him.

The boy, Resonate River, Came from the village close to him Iwagakure. His next words made Demetri laugh a little on the inside but not showing anything outside "And pray tell me Angel what have you come to save me from?" He asked as the boy came back around in front of him, Demetri remaining still as he began his circle but using his Chakra senses to watch out just incase. Resonate began to cough and it became apparent that the cold was getting to him although it did nothing to Demetri as he had lived in this place all of his life after all. "Come with me i'll take you to a warm place Back in the village." He said even if the boy did not answer what he was saving him from. With that they would head back to the village, that is if Resonate Did infact follow him. "So tell me is there a reason you do not wear a headband Angel?" he asked curious to hear the answer hoping he was not a deserter.

Near would stare at the ground as the question was asked about just the thing that he was here to save the man from. Near couldn't answer that question, a question based on a lie. As he thought to himself he would become angered at his misguided way of making his new friend. 'Here to save him.... him.. a person like him could take care of himself... but a person like me..hehe... a person like me can do much more.' Near looked up at demetri and gave the man a false smile. A false one due to nears inability to actually smile. Near would follow him without uttering a word. As they continued on their way to the village Demetri would as Near a question that had never been asked by a living human before. Why had he not worn a headband his entire stay at Iwagakure, even as the new kage he would not wear any type of clothing that showed he was from Iwa. He wore a more modern like clothing with his neck wrapped in bandages and a normal white shirt. His usual jacket no where to be found. "I do not wear the headband of Iwagakure because that would make it seem as if im saying i belong to Iwagakure, but i do and i don't. I Am their Village leader but i originate from the Mountain of heaven." Near would say as he spoke of the well known Mountain of Heaven, one of the mountains in Kumogakure that had been surrounded by nothing more then thunder and lightning.

They had neared the gates of the village as the boy spoke 'Village leader this kid?....Surely not.' Demetri thought to himself as he stopped for a second and turned to face the boy once more. "So you lead a village as well. Well Welcome to my Village Yukigakure No Sato!" Demetri exclaimed as he pointed his arm in the direction of the village the snow gone from the streets and some fields thanks to the Fuin seals placed throughout the village it looked like a normal village now not some forsaken Snow hole that it had looked like before. Minutes after the two stepped into the village the snow on their hair would melt away leaving it slightly wet. "Are you hungry? I could get us some food if you are." Demetri stated as he lead Resonate towards the Leaders Office.

"Food.... a trivial nutrient of the body of humans.... but sure." Near said as he looked around at the village of snow, which had less snow then he expected. Covering his mouth he would cough and the snow that once covered his head was now melting and streaming down his face. 'Aye! look at this place... unexpected right Resonate. hahahaa wheres the fucking snow! out there!' A voice in the boys head would say, Near's eye would twitch as he said under his breath "Shut the hell up you..." Near said as he began to cough even more. 'You and your random days to pop up.. you pick a day like now, Pride.' Near would say to the being which lied in his head, his name Pride. 'Oh dear are you mad? How about you let me take over for a while and see what he's made of.' Pride would say. 'After we eat. and only after we eat.' The conversation would end between the two beings and near would analyze his new fellow village leader.

Resonate agreed to get some food, something that Demetri was glad of as he was getting rather hungry himself, then he muttered to himself letting it slide he lead on and opened the door to the Office and looked at the woman at the front desk saying "I would like to have a bowl of Miso Pork Ramen with a side of rolls also get Mister River here what he wants as well." before letting Resonate begin to say what he would like. Once he was done Demetri would lead him to the Office room and allow him inside saying "Come on in and have a seat Angel." as he walked behind the desk taking his seat. The room itself was rather small and held three bookshelves along the walls and a Fireplace to keep the place nice and warm the inside of the room was a light wood color made out of some kind of wood that Demetri did not know the name of, perhaps Oak or Pine.
