The man reassured her about his rank after Hato stated her doubt. He explained that he was barely chunin. Hato smiled and straighten herself as he explained that his shinobi times were over. It was a shame to hear that he wasn't a shinobi anymore. "Alright," she sighed. "It's a shame really, I'm sure you were a fine shinobi." She walked closer to the man, in a none threatening manner. "Hopefully when the time comes, you'll be ready to suit up again." Hato didn't plan to attack again, instead, once she got close to the man she'd try and kiss his cheek. It was her way of saying thank you. "I'm off, I hope I see you around." As she said "you" she'd touch his chest and then form the ram hand sign to body flicker away with the kick of some dust towards home.

As Hato gave him the 'alright' followed by the sigh, he could tell the sarcasm started to annoy her. She seemed to be done here. Part of Royalty was relieved that he got to continue to mind his business but a part of him loathed how his social life had been lacking as of late. It's just so much stuff that happened. So many details that filled his mind, and so much plot twists that brought him to this very day. He was overwhelmed. The old Roy would've been less defensive against a stranger. He used to welcome any and all people. People change as they grow however.

Hato was now walking towards Roy with some sign of endearment. Hearing the words suit up was fitting considering what he wore on a daily basis. Not being in the desert anymore widely broadened his choice of clothing. It was also something about the attire in which Maku had given them that just stuck with him. She was beginning to take her leave. Roy hadn't tensed up like how he usually would whenever someone got close. He accepted the goodbye as he watched Hato disappear. Hm, what a strange one, he thought to himself.

With Hato gone, he had nothing more to do with the day. It wasn't like he had any specific goal anyway. Roy placed his hands back into his pockets and let out a deep sigh. What to do now? Wallowing and moping through Kumogakure was pointless. A small rumble resonated through his stomach to his ears. Well, a quick snack wouldn't hurt. He then walked towards the closest ramen shop he could find. The little spar the two had was mediocre at best. Only a couple of moves were exchanged. This is what calling it a night looked like for him.
