D-Rank: Patrollin gthe Boarders

Kirameki trotted out of her tent and to the Village Gates. This was her very first mission; She couldn't mess it up.

It was a simple mission really; All she had to do was walk the Village boarders and make sure nothing suspicious was going on. But, all the same, she was completely, utterly psyched.

Arriving at the village gates, she took a look around. Spotting nothing, she continued to walk clockwise around the village.

After about ten minutes of slow walking, she came across a set of footprints, and decided to follow them. She followed the foot prints for about five minutes at a fast pace before they came to an abrupt end. Getting down near the ground, she took a closer look at the footprints. Whoever had left the footprints had been planning this, and had taken the time to backtrack their steps.

This was interesting; A lead on her first mission! Now on her hands and knees, Kirameki tracked the footsteps to about the half-way mark. Looking up, she noticed she had stopped right in front of a tall desert-type tree, with a few branches low enough for a child to jump into.

Just as Kirameki was about to jump into the tree and look around, about ten little girls came rushing towards her. "Aoto! Aoto! Have you seen Aoto, pretty Lady?" shouted one of the girls. The others all began shouting basically the same thing.

"Shhhhh, no, gomenasai, oonanokotachi, I haven't seen him. But I can't help look for him right now, I'm on an important mission! Right now I have to investigate this tree, so why didn't you go and play, hm?" she said sweetly.

One of the girls, a young one with black hair and green eyes, looked at Kirameki with curiosity. "Pretty Lady, why are you investigating a tree?! I mean, sure there aren't many trees around, but that doesn't mean a tree can hurt us, right?"

"Silly, it's not the tree that can hrt us. Its the person who might be in the tree that I'm investigating! Now go play so I can do my job and protect you, ok?"

"Hai Okusama!" the young girls cried as they ran away. "Aoto? Aoto? Where are you, Aoto-kun?!"

Now that that was dealt with, Kirameki jumped into the tree. Surprisingly, there was not a criminal in the tree, but a young boy with brown hair and blue eyes. He looked relieved, and also a little bit freaked out.

"Hmmm... By any chance, is your name Aoto?" Kirameki said, a slight smile upon her face.

"Oh, no! Not you too! Gosh, even the ninjas!" The boy cried.

"I don't know what all the commotion was for, but it seems a group of girls were chasing after you. Now, unless you tell me exactly who you are and what you were doing sneaking around and retracing your steps back here, I'll call those girls back here and let them sniff you out!" Kirameki threatened, a tad jokingly on the last bit.

"Oh, no! Anything but the girls! Ok, my name is Aoto, and I go to the Academy! Those girls are always chasing after me, so I thought that if I ran off and then made my steps disappear, they might not find me and just give up the chase! PLEASE DON'T CALL THE GIRLS! THEY'RE VICIOUS!" The boy cried, beginning to panic.

"Hush hush, calm down will ya?" Kirameki laughed, "I won't call them. It was my mission to scout the village, so I was only making sure you're not some bad ninja transformed into a kid, ok? Now, I best be going and finishing my mission! Don't stay p here too long, ya here?"

"Y-yes ma'am! Thanks!" Aoto called as Kirameki jumped down.

Kira finished her rounds in otherwise regularity. Nothing was out of place, and other than the previous incident, nothing else she had to deal with.
