Daisuke's Awakening (P, Solo Training) Empty Daisuke's Awakening (P, Solo Training)

Fri Jun 07, 2013 1:55 pm
"Ugh, my head's killing me...'" Daisuke groaned in displeasure, he didn't know why, but he had a serious headache, which was strange because he couldn't remember doing anything out of the ordinary, he hadn't caught a cold, how could he? Kumogakure almost always had what could almost be described as perfect weather, something was up, he tossed and turned in his bed, clutching his head, his fingers covering some of the bizarre star shaped markings on his forehead, he had no clue what these things were, but his parents stressed that they were just mere birthmarks, but they felt different to him, they definitely weren't birthmarks, they were something completely different, Daisuke never paid any attention to them before now, he didn't quite know why he never really inquired about them before, his hands had the same markings though, something was definitely up, and what he had definately wasn't ordinary, they had to be there for a reason.

Daisuke shrugged off the thoughts going through his mind, but he definitely knew something was up, he slipped out of his bed, still in his boxer shorts and headed to get a glass of water, sliding the tatami doors open to head to the kitchen, nobody was at home, and everything seemed a lot darker than usual, Daisuke felt as if something was up, something was just not quite right about all of...This. He took out a glass and filled it up to the brim with cold water, slugging the entire thing down, suddenly, a flurry of murmurs and whispers echoed and reverberated around his mind, the voices became louder, and louder, Daisuke had experienced this before, but he had experienced this long ago, ever since he was 2, he had learned to try and suppress these voices, but why were they coming back, all of this just didn't add up.

As the voices became louder, they also became clearer, and Daisuke could almost make out the entirety of what they were saying, it was definitely something along the lines of "You are scared..." , "You are weak..., "Join us...".

Daisuke fell to his knees and clutched his head, the room felt really dark now, he couldn't see his own hands, or anything for that matter, and his vision began to slowly melt away, as if someone dribbled tar down his eye sockets, Daisuke cried out, before suddenly losing consciousness...

For what felt like days he saw nothing but black...And heard nothing...Not even the same echoed murmurs he had been introduced to way before, nothing...
Daisuke felt his eyelids pry open somehow, he wasn't at home, that was for sure, definately not at home, but he could hardly see anything, everything seemed to be dark blue, as if he was in the darkest of dusks, he hobbled to his feet and his heels and toes sank in what definitely seemed to be sand, but he heard whispers, the same whispers he heard way back... But they were saying something else..."Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk...Walk..." They repeated between pauses, it wasn't a chant, it was the same almost monotonous murmur as before.

It wasn't really as if Daisuke had much of a choice at the moment, so he set off at a steady pace, but the sand just seemed to get thicker and somewhat more viscous with every step that he took, he felt the sand rise, as it engulfed his toes, his ankles, then his shins, and then his legs...He cried out as he felt the sand swallow his entire body, after what felt like a year of drowning in this sand, he fell straight through it, it was a completely indescribable feeling, he cried out, before he crashed onto what seemed like stone, he crawled a bit before rubbing some sand out of his eyes and then opening them just to reveal a blinding light, Daisuke closed his eyes almost instantly with a painful roar "Child..." Daisuke heard. "What do you want with me!?" Daisuke demanded, but it seemed that the voice completely ignored his question and instead spoke directly to him. "How do you expect to become a god...If you cannot even open your eyes..." The voice spoke in an incredibly somber manner, but yet the earth quaked with every word he declared, Daisuke could see the blazing light through his own eyelids. "CHILD..." The voice demanded, this time with an almighty thunderclap and a quake of biblical proportions.

"OPEN YOUR EYES, BOY." The voice demanded. "Fuck you!" Daisuke retorted, but yet another thunderclap was heard and the ground shaked even harder than before, "BOY." The voice screeched this time, making Daisuke clutch his ears as they almost bled from the sound.
"...Open your eyes..." The voice spoke ever so gently this time, but still as authoritative, like a stern father lecturing his child. "You wish to be stronger...Our eyes have seen your desire...You wish to become as strong as mine and mine associates...Do you not? Do you not wish to become a god?" The voice inquired, the voice had changed tone, it was not as monotonous, but actually rather seductive, obviously trying to convince the boy. "What's it to you, who the fuck are you anyway?" Daisuke raged, the voice merely responded "Open your eyes and you will see..." Daisuke opened his eyes, and a bright flash of light and suddenly just darkness, and then a sudden burst of light, Daisuke cried out and shielded his eyes with his hands, opening them yet again afterwards, but everything became a lot weirder, there was a bright light and several gigantic figures on what looked like thrones, yet everything was pitch black around him. "Walk...Boy." A figure demanded, and he did so, He walked closer, and the figures became more and more defined, they seemed to be human in appearance, until they seemed to be casted in gold, they all seemed to have headdresses. "You wish to become a god, correct?' The figure inquired. "Why do you care?" Daisuke retorted. "Boy. How do you expect to become a god, if you cannot even make peace with yourself?" The deep, booming voice projected, "Where are you getting at?" Daisuke asked, wondering what the towering figures with different colored glowing eyes wanted, he still couldn't make the shapes out very well, despite the blinding light in the background, one of the thrones seemed to be blocking the passage of light.

"Daisuke...Shinkou...We have been watching you ever since you were brought onto this planet." One of the voices projected. "We are the key to unlocking your true power...But you sacreligiously cast us off every time we attempt to communicate." The deeper voice spoke. "Such as is, mine people have brought you here by force." One of the lighter voices spoke. "Where are we anyway?..." Daisuke inquired. "You are in your own mind." A feminine voice spoke, but just as imposing as the others. "You are torn between light and darkness or being engulfed by your own thoughts, my child.", the voice continued.
"Sorry, what?" Daisuke questioned the voices explanations. "This barren wasteland is the mere projection of your thoughts and morals." "Shit..." Daisuke cursed, this was true, he had no clue where he was headed in the world, he always had an insatiable urge to kill, yet also had the urge to do good and be more like his father, an ANBU ninja. "Do not fret, my child, You do not need to commit to anything, we will show you how to rise to glory." The caring, soothing voice spoke. "Gods do not need alliances." The voice spoke. "Now, mine child, shall you embrace our presence?" One of the voices spoke.
Daisuke pondered, these things were indeed real. "Yes." He confirmed.

"Arise...Aken..." The voice spoke, and with a flash of light, he was at the top of what looked like a temple, it was rather high up, well, very high up as a matter of fact, he didn't know where he was exactly, it appeared to be the same place as before, well, honestly speaking, any place with sand probably looked like where he was before, he saw the setting sun in the distance, he saw lots of moving objects on the ground, they appeared to be all carrying large slabs of stone, these were slaves, Daisuke could see that now, he didn't really know how to feel, he wondered if giving them liberty would be a good idea, and almost instantaneously, the scenery began to change, it all seemed different, everything seemed like an organized nation now, maybe that was what these strange creatures meant by the whole "Becoming a god" thing, it all seemed rather scary, as a matter of fact, but then again, those creatures said they were gods, and they appeared to be many, maybe total rule wasn't neccessary, maybe they'd be an entire group of rulers, or a group of prophets of sorts, nobody knew, and he most certainly didn't, it all seemed rather strange.
"You see, my child, our world changed with how you think, anything that you are feeling has a direct effect on the area. From the brightest of rainbows, to the most brutal of sandstorms. You may even entirely change the landscape, all is at the tip of your finger, my son." The voices said, "You shall soon acquire the power you deserve, you may choose whichever route you like, but we will always be in your consciousness, watching, judging. You will discard the pathetic identity you hold currently, and become a prophet."
The voice spoke, and the deeper voice continued. "Whether you feel like sending the sacrileges to the underworld, or if you feel like enslaving the weak, all these factors will determine the prophet you will become, and the name we shall bestow upon you.", At this point, Daisuke seemed very tempted by all of the power they were basically just handing him at that point in time, but something felt off about all of this, surely there was a catch. "I see...But is there anything you expect in return?" Daisuke wondered, and after a bout of silence they responded "No, it would be futile to ask anything in return, just that you embrace your inner self, and that you love us just as we love you." The motherly voice resonated, "Must you phrase that in such a farfetched manner? What we would like to stress is that you show us that you deserve the power we can give you." The deeper voice grunted, obviously not too pleased with the whole "Peace and love" thing, well, the one with the deeper voice had to be a god of something dark, like death or hatred or something. "Prove your strength to us, and we will reveal ourselves and bestow our true power upon you. And then you will recognize what a god's power truly is." The voice spoke, now everything sounded really tempting. "Then I accept." Daisuke continued, he was definately going to accept this kind of opportunity, besides, they were definately going to keep trying to converse with him if he said no anyway, so he figured that he'd have to, but, he was still legitimately happy with the fact that he had gained their trust, he would still have to keep conversing with them.
