Mission

Travin woke ready to go it was time for his first mission. The higher ranks were flooded with missions and it was his turn to help with some solo work. He knew that it would be basic and easy work but it was still his first mission and he wanted to be ready and do a good job. Throwing on his clothes and grabbing his gear he headed out of his parent’s house to get to the office he was supposed to meet in for his briefing. Walking in he didn’t get what he was expecting as someone yelled for him to come over to what looked like a bank teller’s window and headed him a piece of paper telling him to return when he was done. He walked away a little saddened expecting to be taken to a room and told the secrets of the mission, but he should have known better walking away he opened and read over the mission. With a big E on the top of the page, it simply told him to go and clean the Mizukage’s monument.

Great, he thought to himself as he headed out of the office building and headed down the street to the statue. He really didn’t want to clean a statue there was no telling what was on it and was just hoping that someone had written on it or something because he really didn’t want to clean bird poop off of it. Arriving at the statue he saw that it was indeed covered in bird poop. For a moment Travin thought about just walking away but a mission was a mission and he was getting paid for this. He walked over and opened the door to the side building grabbing the cleaning tools and wishing that he had a powerful water jutsu to do this instead. When he saw in the back of the room what looked like a pressure washer.

With the pressure washer in hand, Travin walked out of the building and plugged it into a plug he assumed was running down from the building for this purpose. With a few pulls of the cord, Travin had the thing running and was washing the statue off figuring that it would be better to start at the top. White dropping running down the Mizukage’s statues as Travin tried to quickly get this job over with. It didn’t take him too long with the pressure washer compared to having to do it by hand. With the job is done Travin put everything back in the room and took one last look at the statue. Before turning and looking out at the sea once before returning to the village offices.

Once back in the center of the village Travin went back to the lady that gave him the mission. “I finished the job,” he said as she slid over an envelope telling him that it has been reported and that this is his pay. Thanking the lady Travin walked out of the office and opened the envelope pulling out the money and placing it in his wallet. He then debated on going back for another mission since it wasn’t even lunchtime yet.

Mission

Travin stood outside the offices’ for a while before turning around and walking back in deciding that he would do another mission since it wasn’t even lunchtime yet. He walked back up to the lady at the counter again. Asking if she had any more missions that needed to get done for the day. He both wanted to kill more time today since he didn’t have anything planned thinking that his missions would have taken longer to get done, but also to help out his village he knew that these missions are the ones that they get the most and there is never enough shinobi to get them all done. She looked up at him giving him a look like you again. He could tell she didn’t feel like dealing with him but it was her job to give him missions.

She tells him that they just got several reports of sand covering walkways all over the village. Travin agrees and heads over to get the push broom they were offering to anyone that was doing the mission. Next to the push brooms was a map of the village with different sections circle out and some with x’s on them. Travin grabbed the pen hanging by a tack and put a mark on an unmarked section before walking out the door. He had the spot in town around the shops, he was familiar with the area since it’s where his family shop was. He hoped that the people there would not be too mad and yell at him while he was trying to clean up. He took off at max speed jumping from building to building to avoid the foot traffic before jumping down in his work area.

For the next few hours of pushing a broom around the streets getting the sand off the paved walkways. Several people thanked him and his mother walked out and gave him something to drink. He took it and talked to most of the people that talked to him thinking that he didn’t want to look rude or anything. He had never realized before today just how many walkways there were in this area till he had to sweep it off. It’s why he picked it cause he thought it had the least of all the area since it was only going to be one long stretch, but he didn’t even notice the side paths leading to the backside of shops and the back streets as well.

Finally done Travin headed back to the office a little slower this time. Rubbing his arms and shoulders know that he was going to feel that in the morning. He thought about how he was going to get the soreness out of his arms tomorrow. He dropped the push broom off in the corner where he got it from and stepped up to the counter again. Telling the lady at the counter that it was done she slid him another envelope full of money. He walked away and put the money in his wallet before heading out he was hungry and wanted some breaded shrimp.

Mission

After enjoying his breaded shrimp down by the docks Travin decided that he might as well make a day of this and heads back to the offices across town. He had already made a good chunk of change but he could always use more and it wasn’t like he had anything to do anyway. Walking back into the building and hearing the hardwood floors creak under his steps was starting to feel normal now. Who knew maybe this would be how he spent his days from now on just running mission all time and maybe when they let him take some harder missions he would have someone to talk to. Travin stepped up to the counter for the third time today and without having to ask he was handed another paper. He walked away and read over it aside from the big E on the top it said that the former Mizkukage’s dogs needed food, and he needed to go and get a lot of it. All it said for the type of food was meat, so travin headed out of town not wanting to spend more money on this than he was going to make figuring that he would kill a wild animal or something in the wild.

Walking out of the village gates Travin made his way over to the wooded area figuring that there would have to be animals there for sure. He took a seat up in a tree thinking that when something walked by he would simply jump out and stab it or something like that, but after about 30 minutes he started to get bored and used his kunai to sharpen a long stick into a spear. Putting his kunai back up and admired his handy work not the best but it would get the job done he thought to himself. Low and behold a few minutes after finishing his spear he heard something in the woods moving around and it was headed right towards him. Travin watched trying not to make a move so he didn’t spook whatever it was. He wanted to look but knew that he couldn’t risk it since, by the sound of it, it would show up soon enough and probably pass right under him.

Soon enough he was proved right as a boar roamed under his tree and started rutting in it ramming its horns into the base of the tree and digging it up. Travin didn’t know what the hell it was doing but this wasn’t going to get any better to grab some meat for those dogs. Griping his spear in both hands Travin jumped down from the tree and ramed the tip of his spear through the boar’s kneck and into the ground. It twitched a bit but soon stopped moving and Travin got to work. Skinning the boar didn’t take too long as he was mostly just going for the meat and leaving the rest. He knew it was wasteful but he would tell someone that actually knew what they were doing with the rest of it. From here Travin would take and drop the meat off before going and getting paid.

Mission

Having done three missions in one day was pretty crazy but Travin wasn’t done yet. He still had one more left to knock out and he had been saving it for later tonight since he had to work at night. Now that it was getting late in the afternoon it was time to show up at the bank. He hadn’t been into the bank before since he didn’t really have a way to make money but now that he was doing missions and such he would probably need to open a bank account to store his money in. Travin stopped by a store on the way to the bank and grabbed a snack to eat know that he wouldn’t be getting home till late he wanted to make sure he wouldn’t get hungry while working.

Travin made it to the bank with his pack but was stopped at the door and his pack was searched for bank security. Once done Travin was let in and showed up at the manager’s office. He took a seat across from the man at the desk who explained to him what he was going to have to do. He told Travin that he would have to do some cleaning tonight and that mostly meant hauling a bunch of heavy boxes and stuff of the like out the back door and putting it in the dumpster. Part of Travin was disappointed hoping that he was going to defend the bank from a secret attack that they had found out about, but with the rest of the missions he had gotten today he figured that it would be something like this. He waited for everyone to leave the bank before he got started. Since he had all night and he was the only one here besides the couple guards that was going to let him out when he finished. He decided to look around and see what it was like in the bank. Spending some time behind the teller window and sitting behind a desk he decided that it would be very boring to work in a bank.

With this, he headed to the back of the bank where they got their shipments and other stuff they got at banks. He saw the massive pile of boxes all filled with boxes and a machine that was going to turn the boxes into bails he learned after reading the direction on the machine it sounded pretty easy. He started by throwing more cardboard than he cared to count into the machine before he finally filled it up and got the experience of making a cardboard bail. He soon decided that he didn’t like it, but kept working at it anyway from the amount of cardboard back he figured it would take at least three or four bails before he was done.

With the mind-numbing experience over, he decided that he was done for the night with the backroom now being free of cardboard. Walking out he told the guards good night and went home figuring he would go and turn in the mission in the morning after he got some rest from his long day of work.
