[Mission] Shibata, the... Lumberjack?

Mission Details:

It was getting late as Shibata approached the mission board one last time for the day, having passed quite the bit of time both doing other missions and petting the dog he had just helped out. He dusted off his jacket, removing the copious amounts of dog hair before going for his tried and true technique of randomly selecting a mission and just going for it. He decided since he had dedicated his entire day to missions, he may as well wipe out another E rank, and maybe tomorrow he would go for a D ranked mission, or try to rouse some people for a decent C rank mission and get a real pay day as well as the satisfaction he so desperately craved. His hand went up and down the list before pressing down on one. He grabbed it off the board before even taking a decent glance at it. When he held it in his hands, having accepted it and, thus, was committed to doing it he realized how bad of an idea that was. 
The mission read "Lumber: Need a tree cut down and the lumber collected for a project I'm working on, man behind the green glass door." Oh god damn it, Nara thought to himself, not this asshole again, and I have to find out how to cut down a tree with only the tools I have access to? Goddamn I'm screwed. When looking from purely in an objective sense, he was in fact screwed.
He made it to a forest patch designated in the mission, before sizing up a tree just big enough that client wouldn't be too upset by, aiming to do this as Shibata really did not have any tools specialized for cutting of something as thick as wood. He first started, foolishly, with just trying to nick at it with his kunai, but that was taking far too long for him, with far more effort than the Rebel Heart would want to expend on such a menial task. He started hypothesizing possible manners of knocking down a tree. Maybe an explosive tag, he thought for a moment before dismissing it considering that it would splinter the tree completely, and he needs it cut in logs, so that's one idea shot. Maybe if he threw two kunai, both on either side of the tree with a wire connecting them, he could use the wire to cut down the tree in one fell swoop. Shibata realized this plan wouldn't quite work because, while the wire could etch a cut into it, there wouldn't be any particular large damage caused by the centrifugal forces of the two kunai. This wire plan did actually give one plan that he thought may bare fruit, however. He tied a short length of wire between two Kunai and used the daggers like saw handles, working through the tree over time. This took him until well into the night, and tuckered him out, but after hours of hard work, he had 4 logs, and a nice sized pile of sticks. He used the same wire to tie it to his back before stopping by the obtuse "man behind the green glass door" to drop off the items. This time, the man had one last request before he would give payment to Shibata, he must solve the riddle. The man gave no other hints than this, and it caused Nara to think about what worked in the past. After a moment it clicked. "Logs and sticks can't get past, but wood can"
"Yes!" snarled the rotund fellow, "You've figured it out, and done well to earn your payment"
And with that Shibata took the ryo and returned home, ate venison left from the night before, and slept an earned good night's rest.
