Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

Thu Feb 06, 2020 1:54 pm
Mission

Ookami was interested in taking on a mission that required the finding a grimey thief and teaching them a lesson from their past events of stealing throughout Kirigakure. The village in the mist was not one to toy games with. If you mess up, you will pay dearly. The slender petite genin did not look like the type of girl who could intimidate another. Her long white hair looked as soft as silk, and her blue eyes was cold yet framed with a soft looking face. Almost everything about her screamed as if she was just an innocent little girl.

The white haired kunoichi would be wating near a food stand. This was the last place the thief had hit. Taking ahold of exotic foods without paying a single ryo. This was where she was meant to meet up with another shinobi to tag team this mission with. As she waited, the kunoichi would help herself to a quick snack of a caramel pop. And of course she paid like the grateful little shinobi she is.

Ookami stood wearing only black shorts amd a black tank top of flexible material. Her combat boots laced up to the mid of her shins. At a tilted vertical angle was a rather large sword that was strapped across her right shoulder. The entire sword looked to be a solid black, from what you could see outside of the sheath that held it.

Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Re: Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

Fri Feb 07, 2020 7:06 am
Hamako was found another mission summons on his door that morning, much like he would most days. He grabbed the envelope on the door and opened it. Upon reading the mission summons, his stomach dropped and his heart began to race. He read the summons two or three or ten times to make sure that he was reading it correctly, he was being placed into a mission that required him to be a part of a team. Sweat built up on his forehead, his skin began to get clammy. This would be the first time he would be a part of a team since the academy and Lord knew that the loner did terribly in group assignments.

Hamako gathered his things albeit slowly, hoping that the team would just go on without him and he could make up some terrible excuse as to why he missed the meet up for the mission. This strategy only lasted a few moments due to his punctual personality hurrying him through his routine. He left his home and he was terrified about who he was to meet. If it was a male he figured he may be able to get through the day, they wouldn't speak much and it would be fine. But if it was a female, then he would turn into a stuttering mess and he wouldn't be able to actually talk to his own teammate.

He turned the corner into the final stretch to the meet up point. He did see a figure there, but only a large sword that was slung on the figure's back. His hopes were high that it was a male for he had yet to see a woman wield such an impressive weapon. He slowly walked up to the meet up point, trying to get himself ready to talk to another human being. He reached the figure's position. He mustered up the courage to speak, "H-hello." He then began to shake at the fact that he soon would be trapped in a conversation.

Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Re: Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

Fri Feb 07, 2020 5:40 pm
The white haired kunoichi enjoyed her caramel pop with a hidden expression. She stood waiting and analyzing how she planned to convince this muggy thief to keep his hands to himself. For what she knows, he was merely just a civilian. Five minutes had passed. . then ten. She was wondering if her partner for this mission was even planning to show themselves, or be a lame drop out. As she waited, Ookami pulled out the mission parchemt. After so many frequent thieving events happening from this same person, enough intel had been out together to where the culprit has been revealed.

First it started as complaints about watching a ratty orange haired woman run off after her little grab and go. That was one of the first surprises. Most would have assumed it to be a boy. But instead it was a female who some said to look about eighteen years old.  Close to Ookami's age. One of the civilians who helped in the investigation had said that she sounded like someone who was familiar to him. Resembling a girl he had met by the beach one time. They had conversated a little and she had told him where she lived.

So the pieces have been put together for them. The girls name was Grendel, and assuming that the Intel was correct, she lived in a small house close towards the beach. She spends alot of her time along the shore of the sea, or running around causing mischief. Even if she was a female, she would be taken care of just as accordingly like anyone else. If she cooperates then the punishment won't be too sever.

As the white haired woman went over the mission parchment and reading the details, she would notice a small voice greeting her. Her head would turn towards the voice, and her icy blue hues landed onto the male's figure. His white haire similar tonher own. She instantly recognized him from the last mission she performed. He had no interest in interacting with her then. Hopefully things will be different this time. "Good evening~"

Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Re: Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

As the sword welding figure turned to face the loner, his heart began to thump like a jackrabbits foot pounding against the dirt in the forest. Some sweat began to build up on his forehead and his stomach felt as though it was on fire. It was the same woman that he had passed by after cleaning the Mizukage's monuments. He felt terrible for not saying anything to the woman that day, he was concerned that he came off as being an ass, when really he just couldn't get any words to escape his mouth. The same feeling came over the moment her blue eyes met his.

"Umm... H-hi... Good... evening." He rubbed the back of his neck with one hand while scratching his arm with the other. He wanted to say more words, but he couldn't bring them out of his mouth. He was already the worst at speaking to people in general, but in direct conversation with members of the opposite sex, he was a complete goner. He stood there, stammering over himself trying to get anything comprehensible out, but it would come off as just constant murmuring.

The missions that he was given to complete would generally hold all of his attention, but at this point in time, he couldn't speak whatsoever.

Her crystal blue eyes would look him up and down. He gave her a display of stuttering words as he tried to respond to her greeting. So that's what it was. He had a shy personality to him. This was something that the white haired kunoichi understood fairly well. She took sometimes grew shy or stumble with her words. Even sometimes grew embarrassed. This happened only during certain occasions though.

She would be easy on this guy, since she experiences the same nervous reactions every now and then. Yurei usually helped keep her in check though.  "It's Ookami. . " The kunoichi would welcome her name to him. Holding a normal soft voice that hinted a little of kindness to it. She would then hold the mission parchemt out to him, just in case he was interested in reading over the details. After everything was set, she would be ready for them to make their way towards the beach. "Are you ready?"

Her voice came across the air, it was rich and vibrant, flowing and hauntingly pure. The voice was calming enough to help the loner get out of his mind for a few moments. The loner stopped his stammering and held out his hand, looking down toward the ground. He tried to speak once more, he felt so bad about their first interaction, certainly coming off as an ass. He exhaled and attempted again to speak "It's good to meet you. I'm Hamako."

She would then ask if the loner was ready to begin the mission after handing him the mission details. He would show her his own copy of the mission details. He looked up a little more, instead of staring at the ground, he tried to look closer to her eyes and was stuck at her hair. He was in no way ready to look her in the eye and said that he was ready. He would then put the mission details into his pocket and would motion Ookami to lead the way.

Ookami could tell that her partner for the mission was starting to trust her a little more. By the way his stuttering as ceased to nothing and he was able to give her a proper greeting. Announcing his name as well as Hamako. She would nod to him to show that she appreciated it. Then with that he gave her the notice that he was ready after showing that he had his own mission parchment with him.

The two would begin heading towards the beach house that the thief was supposed to be living in. Ookami's boots hit the grainy surface of a sandy beach, and soon the house came within eye sight. The next thing to do was to catch the thief. "When we find her. Can I count on you to get ahold of her?" The white haired kunoichi would ask as she shrugged the weapon strap that was laced along her shoulder, adjusting it's weight a little.

Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Re: Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

Mon Feb 10, 2020 12:44 am
The two Genin of Kiri would begin running along the shore to get to a beachhouse that was said to house a thief that had been causing a ruckus throughout Kirigakure. He would watch as the small figure of his missionmate carry the fairly large sword that set on her back. He wondered about getting himself a weapon like that, at that point he hadn't acutally thought of getting himself a weapon, little did he need one due to his wood chakra. He was able to create branches out of his body that would be sharp enough to get done whatever needed to be done, but he still wondered if that would be beneficial to have a sword or maybe a staff.

His thoughts were punctuated when they reached the beach house. He didn't want them to rush in and get injured, but he performed the wood clone technique and had his clone burst through the front door. The wood clone was quickly attacked from the side with a knife directly to its neck. The wood clone grabbed the woman and pinned her to the ground. The wood clone then let Hamako know that it was safe through their telepathic connection. He motioned to Ookami that it was safe and the loner went into the room placing his hands on the woman's.

When he pulled his hands away from hers, a pair of cuffs made of his wood chakra had been formed. "This should hold her long enough to get to the Kage estate to turn her in. He created one more clone and had the two clones pick up the woman and carry her to the Kage estate. The loner would then turn to Ookami and hoped that he didn't overstep too much in having his clones take on the woman without much of their help.

Having slightly boosted confidence due to the adrenaline from the confrontation, he had an easier time getting over the idea of talking to Ookami. He placed his left hand on the back of the neck, and he swallowed the worry that was building up in his throat.  "I...I'm sorry if I did too much, I don't want you to feel as though you didn't help or that I took on too much on my own. I wasn't sure where the woman was inside and didn't want to risk you getting hurt, the clones getting hurt would be okay because I can create more of them. I do thank you for joining me on this mission... Ookami."

The clones would be waiting for them by the street as they talked.

Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Re: Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

Ookami watched as the liner created his clone, to use as a safe route to ambush the little beach house. Her crystal hues watched with interest as, what she assumed was his clone, burst through the door. Just to have a knife delivered towards his neck. The clone was able to still pin the woman onto the ground and immobilize her. Ookami continued to stand back as the real loner then stepped in, and grabbed ahold of the thieving culprit. The white haired kunoichi blinked for a second. She couldn't help but feel a little useless, but she still had one last job to perform.

As the woman was restrained with cuffs of what seemed to be wood, Ookami watched as another clone was created to aid in carrying the woman out. This was where Ookami would finally step in. She would have stepped into the doorway, blocking the path so that the clones couldn't continue to leave. Her face was somehow soft, yet held a coldness to it. She spoke with gentleness ease that almost didn't match with her blunt words. "I appreciate your effort in making sure I wasn't wounded Hamako, but please let me take it over from here."

Her hand would move towards the handle of her rather large sword. Withdrawing it from the sheath from her back and bringing it forward.  Allowing the dark obsidian blade illuminate the house with a chilling aura. Vibrate blue runes carved into the blade along with the spiral body of a dragon. "The mizukage is a busy man, which is why the mission states for us to deliver the punishment. Quoted from the mission parchment, 'Show her why larceny in the Mist will cost you your fingers'. I plan to do what the mission asks of us."

Ookami's eyes gazed upon the woman. One could tell that she meant word from word. Her arms drew the sword up above her head as if she was going to deliver a strike to decapitate the woman within the clones arms. "Even a head would do. . ." A new glint appeared within her eyes. As if a gradual shift within her personality had taken place. "Do you have anything to say for yourself, thief?"

Hunting a Thief {D-Rank} Empty Re: Hunting a Thief {D-Rank}

Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:14 pm
Ookami was quick to let Hamako know that she was not injured, this was something that the loner could not have been happier about. The very last thing he wanted was to have someone injured or hurt due to his negligence on a mission with him. She then continued to insist that she take the mission from where they were. Hamako was one that wanted to please others when he could, so he nodded his head and had the two clones set the thief down on the ground.

To the loner’s surprise, she unsheathed her rather large blade and held it to the woman’s neck. Hamako knew the mission said to intimidate the thief to make sure that they were to no longer continue their way of life, but killing them was not required of them. She spoke on how the Kage was a busy man and how they were the ones who were required to carry out whatever punishment they saw fit. Hamako saw the blade to the thief’s neck, then she began speaking on how a head would work perfectly for their punishment. This was far past the line, so Hamako stated, “The mission states to remove her fingers, it says nothing of killing her. If you are to remove anything from her body, make it be her hand.” He was not entirely sure whether or not Ookami was serious or if she was trying to scare the thief to death. But he was sure of the fact that he could not gamble with such opposite possibilities when a person’s life was on the line. The woman began to sob, her words were that of apologies and pleas for her life. While this was not something that would sway from his convictions, even to his village, he did know that killing her would be doing an injustice to their village by going away from what their missions stated, so the loner felt the need to speak out against the threats of death that befell the woman on the ground, under Ookami’s black sword that hovered just above the woman’s neck.

“We are not the ones to carry out such final judgement, if she is to be put to death, then that would be decided by the Kage or the higher ups, not two Genin on a mission to stop a low life criminal who steals for the fun of it.” Hamako would have his clone ready to stop the ninja’s blade if she was to try anything past what the mission details required of them. Did he care about the woman? No. But he cared enough about justice that he felt his shy qualities fall away in an instant. He was passionate enough to choose to speak loud enough for people to hear and there wasn’t a stutter in his voice. He wanted only for this thief to be taken care of in correspondence to their mission.

He was sure that Ookami’s reaction would be one of anger and spite, but that would be okay with the loner. The best part about always being alone, is not having to worry about someone leaving you due to what you say.
