The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

Fri Jan 29, 2016 11:05 pm
(Same in regards of the village.... Hm... What if we kicked it up a notch? In addition, have ya learn some shniz)

Salzem had held Dachi's arm as they moved deeper into the water. Now, the kid's head had sunk about halfway into the surf, smaller ripples passing under his nose. This would be the point where Salzem would have asked Dachi to kick up, getting his full head above the waves but a powerful wind coming from across the waters caught his attention. It wasn't powerful enough to push either of them any distance, but it did disturb the ocean's already volatile surface, causing the waves to rise higher than before. Alarmed, Salzem turned his gaze back across the horizon, seeing the black clouds and the chaos underneath closing fast. What? It was so far away before! He felt the wind pick up again and the water rise in response. He felt it drag at them, threatening to pull them both into its icy depths. Salzem fought the waves and pushed Dachi ahead of him, making sure he got to the beaches first.

"Get your stuff." Salzem said, voice having raised over the now howling winds. "We have to go." Every so often, he would look back, seeing the black chaos getting closer and closer, the brunt of the madness gaining. Eventually, if all went as good as Salzem would hope, they would reach the beach, tide receding farther than ever. He heard the roar of the ocean behind him and the madness behind that. They had to get back into the forest and, if possible, back to the village.

The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

Sun Jan 31, 2016 3:31 am
Dachi believed that he was finally getting the hand of this, as he finally found how to kick and flap his arms in a way that his feet didn't touch the sand below, and his head stayed above the waters that swelled around him.

Then, however, something seemed wrong with Salzem, and Dachi became confused and worried.

"Is everything okay?" He asked, looking towards Salzem, his eyes widening.

Yet, although he questioned why Salzem had decided the swimming lesson was over, he did not question that he should move. Pushing his way back towards the shore, Dachi noted the clouds that Salzem, and wondered if that was why he seemed worried. Having never lived by the sea, Dachi knew nothing of the dangerous of a storm by the coast, but he could clearly tell something was wrong. Salzem was too strong to be phased by a mere nothing.

Walking back to his pile of clothes, Dachi began dressing himself back up in his usual robes, looking at Salzem for what to do next.

"What's wrong? Is there a monster?" He asked. For, surely it could only be a monster that disturbed this shinobi so; clouds were nothing for a master of jutsu to be fearful of. Or, so Dachi believed.

(If you feel like making this more interesting, and throwing us up against an enemy, or something, feel free (that is, if you don't mind me using the skill that I technically don't have just yet), but, I'm down for anything. The more CD and story, the better!)

The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

(pretty much what I intended Xb Also, feel free! I don't mind. Also, feel free to coordinate the monster as well)

Salzem swiped up his jacket and shirt, slipping them on without even attempting to dry himself off first. That would defiantly come back to haunt him with the salt crystallization and all that but that didn't matter right now. Ignoring Dachi's questions, Salzem took his arm in his hand as soon as he was dressed and he lead them back into the forest. He heard the ocean water assault the beach behind him, the roaring of it's rapids slamming the sands with enough force to make Salzem wince at the sound. Salzem didn't notice it at first, but as the deeper they went into the wooded area, the darker their surroundings became. He felt the heavy rain pour through the leaves and onto them, adding a loud hissing sound to the howling winds and swaying of the brush. They had gotten away from the immediate danger, or so Salzem believed, allowing him to answer Dachi's question. He let go of Dachi's arm and looked down at him, trying not to show his concern.

"No, I don't think-" And just as he said that, a heavy, solid force collided with his chest, sending him flying into a nearby tree trunk. He hit the mass of wood so hard, splinters flew every-which-way and the tree's trunk gave, falling to the right, where it hit the ground with a thunderous crash. The sanguine-eyed ninja slid to the ground and leaned against the stump that remained, dazed by the the suddenness of the blow and the force of the impact. His head felt like it was filled with air and his thoughts were scrambled. He didn't feel any pain, but maybe that wasn't a good thing. Salzem blinked the stars out of his eyes vigorously to get a view at his attacker. As his vision cleared however, all he could see peaking out of the shadows was a giant hairy fist. It appeared to belong to some kind of ape. As Salzem looked harder, he could see the outline of the beast: It's huge belly, it's arms as long and thick as tree trunks, its stubby, yet powerful hind legs, and it's snarling, enraged head that seemed to peak at the treetops. It's eyes glowed red with some kind of primal rage Salzem hadn't seen since the dog that infected him with lycanthropy. It's head no longer seemed to be turned in Salzem's direction, rather, in Dachi's. Salzem's slowed, dazed mind connected the dots and his eyes widened. He struggled to get to his feet, only making it to his knees before his body keeled over, needing the support of one hand to keep from face-planting on the forest floor.

"Ugh..." Salzem growled, still recovering from the sneak attack. "Dachi... Run! I'll take care of..." Salzem coughed heavily, trying to catch his breath. "...this thing..."

The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

Mon Feb 01, 2016 3:49 am
(Well, if it's cool then, I'mma go ahead and use the skill that I don't have unlocked yet xp I should be the end of the topic though.)

Dachi followed Salzem as they walked quickly from the beach, causing him to become more and more confused with each step. He didn't notice anything off at all, except for the clouds above his head. He could clearly see that something was wrong, but only because something was wrong with Salzem.

He was about to say something again, but someone interrupted him.

"Run." The voice was so calm, yet so clearly distinguishable as Fire Man. Dachi knew he should listen, however, being only seven, he didn't, and instead froze, just as Salzem began to speak.

Salzem managed to get out the first few words of a sentence, until Dachi saw what it was that he should run from, or, the outline at least. He couldn't see it very clearly, but Dachi knew that this beast before him was dangerous, and by instinct, sadly, froze where he stood.

He didn't know what to do. The voice in his head was telling him to run, Salzem was telling him to run, even every thought in his head told him to run, but for some reason, he couldn't. He tried to, but he couldn't, and when the beast turned its gaze to him, the rest of the world faded away. He could no longer hear Salzem telling him to go, and even fire man within his own head seemed to die down. All there was in his world was this massive beast, staring into his soul, lifting an arm to crush him, just as it did Salzem. Yet, deep down, Dachi knew that if it hit him, he could not be hurt, like Salzem was; instead, he would be dead.

"If you will not move your own body, child, then I must for you," a voice roared so loudly within Dachi's head that he grabbed at his ears, and screamed. It was deafening, and by the literal definition of the word; he felt as if his ear drums had been burst. "So long as I have the power to make it so, you will not die."

Then, Dachi saw the world become blurry, as if smudged by water on a painting, causing him to stare at the ground, his jaw open in terror. He could no longer see the beast; only a dark shadow.

What happened next caused Dachi to scream again; his body moved without him causing it to do so. He watched as his legs carried him across the ground towards Salzem, faster than he had ever run before, just out of the way of where the monster was bringing its hand down to crush the small boy (17 speed instead of 12, yaay. Can we just say this thing is pretty slow?). He hadn't meant to move, but somehow, he had, and before he knew what was happening, he found himself trying to grab Salzem, and pull him off the ground, with no control in his arms once more. While he didn't have the strength to completely do it, Kasai within Dachi hoped that it would be enough to get the Shinobi back on his feet to fight the beast.

While Dachi was completely unaware, to anyone, and more specifically Salzem and the beast, it would become noticeable that Dachi no longer had pupils, and where the pupils once were, now rested a vortex of fire, spinning in a circle of flame. Nothing else was changed about the boy, except for the extreme horror that he was somehow no longer in charge of his own body. Dachi had no knowledge of what was going on with him, and he was so deathly afraid that tears once again began to swell up in his eyes.
He didn't want to die.

(Hope that's not over-extending too much.)

(Yer not over extending. And its all good about yer skill. Don't worry.)

Salzem was completely taken off guard as Dachi moved quickly out of the way of the giant ape's attack. He moved quicker than Salzem had thought him capable of, although, in the grand scheme of things, not too fast. The beast didn't seem to be that fast either, but still immensely strong. If Dachi was to get hit by this thing, he wouldn't have a chance. He saw the had still coming down and Salzem braced himself for impact. His legs still wouldn't obey him. His body refused his brain's instruction, leaving him kneeling there, completely exposed. However, instead of taking the brunt of a force from the front, he felt something tug at his jacket, pulling him along with it. He had been so focused on the descending hand of the ape that he hadn't heard nor seen Dachi's approach. Now he was dragging him out of the way of the Ape's attack, clearing the danger zone as it's it's fist struck the ground, decimating the once-solid ground. Dachi's momentum forced Salzem's legs to move and with his legs moving, their obedience showed itself once again. He could run again. He then saw the monster raising it's fist again, muscles tensing as it put even more strength behind it. Now able to fight for himself, Salzem tore himself out of Dachi's grip and positioned himself right in front of the monster. He threw his hands behind him, gathering his might in them while simultaneously, vibrating them at such a high frequency that they began to catch fire. The flames arched up his arms and enveloped his hands like mittens from hell but also, fire began to congregate just above his burning palms. Throwing his arms forward, wind and fire began to coagulate into a small flaming ball that launched at the giant ape, but that wasn't the end of it. The ball shaped and molded into something resembling a flaming tiger head that struck the monster's chest with a power of 65 and a speed of 100, creating a blast of 50 meters on the beast and in a cone shape behind it. Although his muscles ached from the combined efforts of his Ignition fist and his Daytime tiger, Salzem raised them anyway, ready to continue the battle if the monster somehow survived this.

The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

Dachi watched as Salzem used his arm as a leverage to lift himself off the ground, and felt a releif as the Shinobi sprang into action at the beast.

For a moment, Dachi forgot that he could no longer control his body, and watched in wonder as Salzem flew towards this monster. It was a tremendous sight for him, and being so young and inexperienced, it was as if he was watching two gods fight. He had never seen either of the jutsu that Salzem used, and watching them be cast now was truly a sight. Then, Salzem moved so quickly at the monster that he seemingly disappeared from Dachi's vision, reappearing just as he was about to hit the monster.

Dachi was unsure of if the monster would be struck, or if upon being struck, if it would fall. It was so incredibly large and powerful that it seemed like the monster may be able to take any number of the greatest of blows, and still fight against them.

Then, however, Dachi was brought back to reality as he felt his body begin to move once more without his willing it. It was a terrifying feeling for him, watching his legs lift and carry him over the ground, and there was nothing for him to do against it.

He watched as he ran around the backside of the ape, still at these slightly accelerated speeds that he had never felt before, watching his legs move on their own. He wondered if this was fire man's work. Even if it was, it still terrified him, and he wanted it to stop, but it did not. Of course, it was Kasai, and while Salzem charged the monster before them, he moved Dachi behind the beast, trying to keep the child out of danger's way.

(bro, do ya mind if we end this topic early? I'm sorry)

The blast laid the ape out, though, it's tough hide protected it from most of the impact, keeping it from being completely obliterated. Fire arched up it's shoulders and belly and along it's pelvis. Salzem's flames burned out across his hands before Salzem snapped his fingers and another explosion arched over the monster, blasting any remaining consciousness out it. It's massive chest rose and fell in a slow, heavy, practically shaking the ground on which Salzem stood. The Sanguine-eyed ninja looked around for Dachi, unable to get a good look around through the rain and darkness. Maybe if he went into his werewolf form he'd be able to sniff him out through this heavy precipitation. He still heard the waves slam against the shore with greater and greater force. Slowly, the gears in his head began to turn. They clinked into place and Salzem's eyes widened in fear. He began calling out for the boy, alarm dripping from his voice.

"Dachi! Dachi!" Salzem turned a full 360, hoping to get a glimpse of the boy. If there was something like that monster around here, there would surely be more. "Dachi!"

The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

Dachi watched from behind the ape in awe once more as the beast fell quickly, and as it dropped, he felt feeling very slowly come back into his body.

He trembled as the massive thud was heard, and stared at it for a while. He had seen animals die before, and during the attack on the city, he had also seen people die, so it was no life changing event before him, but seeing someone the size of a human kill such a massive creature as that; it made him realize the true power of the Shinobi.

"You're life is no longer in danger," fire man said, interrupting Dachi's thoughts, and bringing him back to reality. "I leave you for now."

Then, Salzem's broke out, and Dachi, by his own will this time -- and much to his relief as well -- ran towards the sound.

"Salzem!" He cried back, suddenly deathly afraid that his friend had been wounded, and as he ran, the twin vortex of fire within his eyes faded out completely. "You killed the monster, are you okay?"

He continued running towards the sound of his friend, hoping that he had not somehow been wounded, for that was indeed a possibility that he had not considered before, for the beast was truly a forceful monster. With this concern in his mind, the knowledge that he had been locked out of his own body only moments before completely left him.

The way we were (Dachi and Sal) - Page 2 Empty Re: The way we were (Dachi and Sal)

The sanguine-eyed ninja breathed a deep sigh of relief as he heard Dachi return his call and, through the darkness, came running back into view. Salzem smiled widely as Dachi approached him, asking if he was okay. That's what Salzem should be asking. He looked back at the beast, still laid out with smoke still arching off it's form.

"I'm fine. Thank you, by the way. You saved my life." Salzem said, referring to when Dachi pulled Salzem up and got him moving again. "I owe you. I mean that." Salzem nodded his head in thanks at the little boy as if he were his superior. In this moment, he was in a sense. He possibly saved them both by getting Salzem on the move again. He felt the rain falling harder, the light hiss turning into a loud sizzle on the earth.

"Hey, lets head home, alright?" Salzem asked. If Dachi agreed, then Salzem would lead them back in the direction of their new home, hopefully with no more interruptions.
