D-Rank: Patrol

Sora gave a relaxed sigh as he casually strolled around the perimeter of the village. The boy still wore his black baggy shorts, white belt, black shinobi sandals, white T-Shirt, and red hoddie from his last training session. He was very fond of the outfit and considered to continue wearing it. Of course, he would wash the clothes when need be. Enough talk about clothing though! Right now, the genin was performing his first D-Rank mission. His task was to simply patrol the area and make sure nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Nothing had occurred so far.. so that was a good sign. Sora yawned once he made it back to the village gates, the same point he started at. This mission was very uneventful so far. In fact, why were they letting simple genin look over the gates? He was pretty sure that chuunin were supposed to do the job.

The simple thought of chuunin made Sora grin in excitement. Well, he was going to be one anyway.. might as well get some practice in! Though he was pretty sure there were plenty of individuals stronger than him. Oh well, seemed he would have to do his best! Maybe they would promote him anyway after being impressed with his performance... "They probably wouldn't considering how bad I am," he stated negatively. He wondered if Kankri might be there.. or even Hanako! Where was his teammate anyway? The boy hadn't seen her since the last team meeting, and her exit was very sudden. Sora scratched the back of his head and shrugged. He was positive the girl could be able to take care of herself... maybe. The young shinobi sighed before placing both hands behind his head. He guessed that it was time for him to head back and report his progress.

It wasn't as if he really made any though. The boy would pretty much be saying: "Oh yeah. I just walked around and saw nothing. Yup!" He bet that's what the higher ups expected as a "report". Sora sighed once more and made his exit into the village.
