Escort Duty

Mission Details:

Rudra has recently completed a handful of missions. He was ready for a step up, he wanted to take on a mission with a higher level of difficulty. That way, not only would he begin clearing missions easily, but also would gain some valuable experience. He wore his usual attire and began walking to the mission board with the hopes of a good mission. Once he reached his destination, he saw the board filled with multiple requests. He reached out his right hand and pulled out a sheet that caught his attention.

He began scanning the mission sheet for details. "Jamil Proctor, what a familiar name" he thought to himself. Then he realized that it was the name of a famous architect that even helped with Kiri previously. The mission basically required him to escort the architect to his next project within Kirigakure and that he had a threat on his life from his rivals. He knew this mission may require him to fight, even though he had never had any battle experience so far. Having some combat would be a good thing, so he put the mission sheet in his pocket and walked to the awaited destination. As he waited at the gate, he heard footsteps walking towards him.

"I'm going to do some missions, bye mom!" Hestia waved goodbye to her mother as she closed the door behind her. "You haven't had your breakfast, come back!!" her mother screamed albeit with concern. "Byeeeee!!!" the young Senju laughed at ran. She has always been very close with her mother since her father passed away. She had recently graduated from the Kirigakure Academy and now she was a full fledged Genin. This would be the first time she would step into the world of missions, this was the real world.

On her way to the mission board, the gentle breeze would make her long black hair fly in the air. As she tried to tuck her hair back, she would notice a young boy walking past her with a concentrated face, that he didn't even notice her. The boy had a hint of sadness in his eyes, as though he was longing for something. To be honest, she had taken a light interest in him, it was a weird feeling at first sight. But then she had to take care of the missions today, she rushed to the board and took a sheet in her hand. She could see that it was already torn before. "Was it him?" she thought to herself, her heart rushed a little bit.

She began walking towards the gate as that was the place where the famous architect would be received by her. As she walked nearer, she could see that same boy waiting there, that instant she knew that the boy and her would be partners for this mission. As he turned around to see her, "Hi, I'm Hestia. Looks like we are both waiting for the architect, am I right ?" she would giggle at him though nervously.

Rudra was mesmerized by her look and stuttered, "Hi, I'm Rudra. Yup waiting for Jamil to arrive". Just as he finished his introduction, the architect arrived in his caravan. The duo began introducing themselves and of the mission. Rudra just smiled at the awkwardness as Jamil kept on talking for too long. "Shall we go now ? The project site is nearby" the young Uchiha insisted as he didn't want to waste any more time since his life had a threat.

As they walked side by side, he felt a weird sensation, like someone was watching them. Rudra activated his Sharingan, which was in its early stage with just 1 Tomoe, but still it was better than his usual eyesight. He was able to perceive even the slightest movement around them. At that moment, a shinobi emerged from the shadow and tried to strike down Jamil with his katana, which Rudra responded back by defending the strike with his tanto. He could feel that the shinobi was physically stronger than him. Watching Rudra struggle against the shinobi, Hestia would then intervene in order to assist him.

"Thank you Hestia, I appreciate the help" the young Uchiha bowed to Hestia with Jamil just clapping and laughing at them.

Battle Info:

The boy introduced himself as Rudra but refrained from adding the name of his clan, just like her. She felt that he was being cautious around her, which was normal as the village steadily got its stuff back together. At that moment, the architect arrived. He had a vibe about him that annoyed the Senju, she wasn't having any of it.

As they walked further into the country, Hestia noticed that Rudra was an Uchiha from the Sharingan that was shining brightly from the sun's rays. The Uchiha and the Senju have always had a love-hate kind of relationship, but this just made her more intrigued towards him. While she was distracted by the boy's eyes, an assailant jumped from the shadows and tried to attack the architect, who was intervened by Rudra. Seeing that he was being overpowered, she rushed in and gave an uppercut that knocked out the giant shinobi that was busy with the Uchiha.

"You're welcome, no need for thanks. I'm sure you would have done the same" Hestia said in a calm voice with a huge smile, trying her best to hide her red cheeks as she was flustered. "Enough clapping and get to your work" she said with a firm voice to the architect. She just wanted to get this over with, so she can tell her mom what has transpired so far. With the architect completing his work, he handed in a scroll that was required to be given to the mission administrator office.

"Lets give this scroll and get this mission over with!" she ordered Rudra, as though they have known each other their whole life. With the scroll provided to the officer, they were handed with their compensation. "Hope I'll see you soon Mr Uchiha" she laughed as she waved goodbye.

Exit Claims:

The young Uchiha was surprised by how open Hestia was when she was speaking with him, she was even firm with Jamil who was known for being a troublemaker. With a single warning from the long haired girl, he stopped clapping and began with his work. Once he was done, he handed the team a scroll that was supposed to be given to the administrators office. For some reason, Hestia was in a hurry to get the mission done with.

"Yea lets go" Rudra responded. She basically commanded him in a tone that was neither too firm nor too lenient, it was weird. It was like she had some sort of authority over him, but he brushed it off as they both were young and getting into the grooves of the mission. Once they received their compensation for the mission, she waved goodbye with a particular sentence. She knew that he was an Uchiha. Before he could react, she just giggled and went off. "Damn, I don't know what clan she is from. She must have seen my Sharingan" he thought to himself. In his heart, he knew that he would definitely see her again.
