Raiden decided it was time to take traveling again, his sister has spoken to him from the other side, or so it would seem anyways, and he needed to find the dragons from the ravine in Kumogakure, seems they had a long history with the Ametsuchi clan. After His time with Kiru's dragons in Kiru's dimension, He figured he had enough know how on tracking down dragons to find them with ease.

However he knew dragons could be tempermental, and he heard of a temple off in the distance that if one was to worship their god, they would grant you life again if you died, he figured he had nothing else to lose. Raiden fingered the coin in his pocket and he had planned that once past the gates and into the boarders he would crush the token and travel away instantly, headed to the land of hot springs, for the temple of Jashin. He needed to pay his respects to this god before he went seeking the dragons of his ancestors.
