The Hunter Mission Guide

On NRPG, Hunter Missions are dangerous endeavors that may result in a player's character facing the risk of death. However, the potential rewards for completing these missions are substantial and can be chosen by the players based on the rank of the mission they undertake. For a player to participate in a Hunter Mission, their character's Power Rank must be at maximum one above the Hunter Mission. Hunter missions do not have a WC [word count] requirement. Here is a breakdown of the different ranks of Hunter Missions and their corresponding Bounty options:

D and C Rank Hunter Missions: These missions involve tracking down and dealing with low-threat targets such as bandits, vagrants, and novice ninjas causing minor havoc to villages. The targets have low skill levels; their stats, abilities, and equipment reflect their beginner status.

Bounty:

The NPCs' equipment and ryo total no more than 5000 Ryo.
The body of the NPC.
1500 WC.

B and A Rank Hunter Missions: In this rank, players will face more significant threats like crime lords, rebel leaders, and mid-threat ninjas capable of causing considerable damage to villages and their people. These targets know their power and have high-level stats and a vast jutsu arsenal; some may even possess unique Kekkei Genkai.

Bounty:

The NPCs' equipment and ryo total no more than 8000 Ryo.
The body of the NPC | Enough organic material to attempt a transplant | The NPCs' dojutsu eyes (A-rank+ only).
2500 WC.

S Rank Hunter Missions: This is the highest rank of Hunter Missions, involving former Kage, influential village leaders, and high-threat ninjas capable of devastating entire villages if provoked. These targets are the most powerful NPCs in NRPG, with absolute power and access to powerful jutsu and equipment.

Bounty:

The NPCs' equipment and ryo total no more than 15000 Ryo.
The body of the NPC | Enough organic material to attempt two transplants | The NPCs' dojutsu eyes.
4000 WC.

_________

The rewards chosen by the players for completing Hunter Missions are based on the rank of the mission and the corresponding options provided for each rank. A character can choose one of the various rewards, such as equipment, ryo, organic material for transplants, and even the body of the NPC for human puppets or Edo Tensei summons. The exact rewards for equipment are valued based on their current selling price, and any unspent funds are given to the player as Ryo.

The number of NPCs in a mission is determined by the mission's rank and the number of participants. Maximum three players against 2 NPC at a time. If multiple participants complete the Hunter mission, they must choose one bounty reward, so two of them can't pick the same.

The NPC's stats and abilities are unknown to the mission group until the start of the mission. The NPC will always post last in a Hunter mission thread.  It's important to note that once a Hunter Mission starts, it cannot be joined or invaded by anyone outside the mission party.

As mentioned above, mission NPCs play a role in missions and can pose challenges for players. All NPC must be posted in the Creation Center area [NPC Registry], using the proper templates, and approved by NRPG staff before their utilization during a Hunter mission. The same NPC may be used in several different Hunter missions. Here are the guidelines for mission NPCs:

Stats: The stats of the mission NPC are determined by the level of the mission being undertaken. Each rank has a corresponding number for stats. The NPCs can have a single bloodline, including its stats. B-rank and higher NPCs may have access to higher levels of a bloodline, such as the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Bloodline Harvesting: As mentioned above, the bloodlines of mission D/C rank NPCs cannot be harvested for transplants. However, players can obtain the bloodlines of defeated enemies in B, A, and S-ranked missions with the Hunter Challenge enabled. These bloodlines can be used for jutsu like Edo Tensei or Resurrections. Only A-rank or higher NPCs have dojutsu that can be taken.

Abilities: Mission NPCs have all free jutsu and skills of their rank.

AP Pool: The NPC's AP for their Vigor stat is the same as a player character. The NPC has half its total trained AP pool at C-rank and below. At B-rank or higher, the NPC has its full capacity-trained AP pool.

Clanless Rules: Mission NPCs can benefit from clanless rules if the NPCer does not utilize a clan.

Jutsu: Mission NPCs can access various jutsu based on rank, elements, and specialties. The number of jutsu available to them follows the same rules as player characters. NPCs can master their techniques without compromising the amount of jutsu allowed.

Slotless Techniques: Mission NPCs can use slotless techniques similar to player characters. They also have access to the Missing Nin Exclusive [Restricted] Element, Skill, and S-rank technique as slotless.

Hunter NPCs: Hunter NPCs, encountered in missions with the Hunter Challenge enabled, have the same masteries as players. They can have up to 4 masteries for A-rank jutsu and below and 2 for S-rank jutsu.

These guidelines help maintain balance and provide a consistent experience for players when encountering mission NPCs in the NRPG.

NPCers are chosen from experienced players on the site and are approved by NRPG staff. They play as the NPC for the Hunter Mission, aiming to defeat the mission group at all costs. NPCers, as honorary members of NRPG staff, are allowed 72 hours to post in the Hunter Mission threads, compared to the regular 48 hours allowed for players. The "48-Hour Rule" is encouraged to be enforced by the mission group and the NPC player to ensure timely mission progression.

They also receive various incentives to encourage their participation:

Rewards: NPCers will receive all the Ryo, AP, and WC from the mission as they would for a standard mission of the same rank for their participation. In addition to an A-rank jutsu scroll on one of their characters. The missions NPCers engage in will receive a mission ticket for one of their characters, ensuring they are not unfairly benefiting from these interactions. This ticket cannot be used for Hunter Missions.

Double Rewards for Victory: If the NPCer wins the fight by achieving one or more victories in the mission, their Ryo, AP, and WC earned will be doubled as an extra incentive for their success.

Temporary NPCers' Stat Pages Approval: Temporary NPCers must have their stat pages seen and approved by staff to ensure fairness and proper character representation during the interactions.

NPCer Behavior: NPCers are expected to behave competitively during the interactions, aiming to defeat their opponents regardless of the mission's rank. Players should be prepared for genuine risks and challenges during these encounters.

The guidelines and incentives for NPCing are designed to enhance the PvP and NPC experiences in NRPG while ensuring fairness, balance, and a more engaging gameplay for all participants. By involving experienced players as NPCers, the site aims to enrich the roleplaying interactions and create memorable and thrilling scenarios for the NRPG community.
