Sound of the People

Soma Shin would be wearing his sunglasses and heading towards the crowd of people there. The music was providing enough noise that Soma Shin could see clearly even though he was born and raised in the caves and had gone blind. Like most of his clan even though they are all able to see perfectly with the ability to use echolocation he could see a lot of what was going on. With all the noises it was almost like he had sight. He could tell there were some shinobi around but he would walk into the group and looked around trying to listen to the music and find what he needed. He was starting to enjoy the music and even Boku was rustling around more than usual. He was looking to find some fellow shinobi. He was one of the younger graduates of the academy.

He would find a fellow shinobi who had given him a head nod. It seemed like he was looking at Soma Shin from the way his body was positioned. Some shin was not sure about the head nod with being blind. He knew how to fight blind but not necessarily how to interact in a non combat situation. Fists make noise through the air and Soma Shin can combat it. But telling a head nod he has not really encountered it before. Be he would walk up to him “Hello.” He would say as he bowed “My name is Soma Shin Mochizuki but just call me Shin. This might be a weird question but what are you doing it is hard to tell. Most of us Mochizuki are blind and prefer the dark and work at night and early morning. And I have not seen that before. But either way I am a young shinobi here. It is going to be fun here. So tell me a little about yourself.”

He would wait for an answer and see if Ronin wanted to talk. He wanted to see what he could learn not only about the village but about his fellow shinobi. He always wanted secrets and intel. He knows not only is strength power but so is knowledge. Because all power with no knowledge is useless.

Remaining towards the back, Quinn enjoyed the upbeat nature of the gathering that had formed. It was a break in the monotonous days of forging swords for the Deputy though Quinn did not mind the business aspect and concepts that were provided to them and their forge. It was a long time since Quinn had a true break as their life was dedicated to their craft. Seeing a plethora of individuals in headbands in the vicinity let Quinn know there was opportunity to strike while the iron was hot and ripe with people having good vibes with the music that enchanted the residential side of the village. Still learning to be a shinobi themselves, Quinn sought to really integrate better into the village since it's establishment as a shinobi village. The young man next to them spoke up however bring Quinn's thoughts from the near future to the present.

He seemed quirky to them, young and innocent, inexperienced in the world, but something uniquely distinct. He made Quinn ponder hard as their stare would linger probably a bit too long before answering the question. "Yes. That was music. Music comes in many forms. Singing. Playing instrument. Clashing of steel. Etcetera." They would directly say before pondering hard on the follow-up. "Music is unique. Music reaches deep. Like singing, different for everyone. Voices are unique." Quinn would gesture to their sternum, their fingers pinched like they were going to chastise someone like an Italian, tapping on it a few times. "Quinn Foster. Forgemaster. Business Owner. Student of the Academy. Lost in the village." Would be their introduction this time around pulling out a business card, hand written and passing it along to the young curious man known as Zidane. Offering the card instead of a handshake, Quinn seemed to be thinking harder than before.

"I mustn't stay. Lots to work on. Forge has orders." They vocalized looking at Zidane once more now that their apparent thoughts were clear. "Ever interested. Come visit." They remarked towards him before giving a light bow. "Introductions are simple. Business is ever busy however." They would take a farewell to the young man before pulling out more business cards and yeeting them into the sky above the crowd before beginning to walk away. Though there was plenty to socialize with here, Quinn had other things to attend to and take care of. It seemed to them that clusters of people would be conversing through the crowd and as much as Quinn wished to stick their presence in the village, their tact was still something to get used to for some and not so much for others. With the order deep in their mind they decided it may be best to introduce themselves later with less involved and perhaps when they too stood alongside the other shinobi as one of them, and not just an academy student.

The business cards that floated in the air above the crowd wouldn't reach the front as the number of them was more like a dozen instead of a hundred. Many would likely see it and move one due to not needing that of a forge's craftmanship. However the hope truly was in those who might be interested in commissioning or those who would find use of such a person's talents. For Quinn, either way it was likely for them to end up in someone's hand, in someone's pocket, in someone's mind.

Crom’s break from the music was filled with interacting with those who had been enjoying his performance from normal citizens to even, well it would seem the Otokage the very Sunagakure shinobi that had been the force behind the founding of the new Otogakure. A man who stood close to Crom’s own height and looked to be around the same age if not a few years older, this was our village’s leader. Crom could understand the clan’s initial rejection of the young shinobi, at first appearance it would be deceiving to believe this person was strong enough to unite the clans and rebuild the once great Otogakure but as Crom heard once the plans and display of power were introduced to show they weren’t being taken for a ride by some sand dweller, the clans grew to accept the rule.

“Thank you, sir?” Crom would say trying to think on how formal he needed to be, this was a person that stood higher then his own Clan elders but having been raised nomadic and not under the normal village rules and society it was strange to swap that kind of interaction to this unknown individual. Regardless Crom didn’t have any intention of disrespecting the man but had a sense of uncertainty towards him. Over time he was sure that feeling would dissipate but for now it would be weirder if he was immediately accepting.

Glancing at his forehead protector tied around his forearm as Kaito spoke about his enjoyment of the music and his desire to interact with a shinobi of the village, “Yes, with the clan’s approval of coming under the guidance of yourself it was decided that those who were of appropriate age and desire would become the fighting force for Otogakure. We have much connection to the lands here as I’m sure you have been told.” He mentioned with a smile, as the Orochi clan had been in this area since the days of the first Otogakure village back when Orochimaru himself was here with his promises and lies to bring the clan back to its former glory which in turn is what caused the very Curse Mark on Crom’s own neck to become a genetic imprint on all members.

“I’m glad to hear you have enjoyed the music I have shown today, I hope to continue doing similar performances in the future.” He mentioned as he looked at the crowd of people still milling around, the few others that had caught his eyes were interacting with each other on some scale and Crom took their appearances to memory as he had a feeling he would be interacting with them in the future. “Having the approval of the Otokage will surely boost the spread of word about my music.” Crom said with a smirk, making a light hearted joke.

To say the least, Zidane had been quite amused by Quinn's description of what the guitarist had been doing. It seemed rather elegant and sophisticated, almost like it required the perfect combination of concentration and creativity. Though one of Quinn's references to it was rather odd. A clashing of steel? Like his blade against a foe's? Or perhaps even the sound of a steel hammer clanking against a sword resting on an anvil? He flexed his brows, as neither of those two things sounded anything like this 'music' that Quinn had spoken of. But regardless he'd give her a solid nod, "Thank you," was all he had said before Quinn offered their pleasantries along with a business card. Momentarily, the Chinoike would scan it before stuffing it into an item pouch on his hip. "Just Zidane, pleased to meet you." This exchange was short lived though, as the red headed forgemaster indicated that they needed to return to their business. And the Genome wasn't one to interfere. He'd simply shrug and step out of their way so they could go about their business. However their departure was nearly as odd as they were; chucking a chunk of cards into the crowd for people to see. People in the crowd began to turn to look towards the source, with their eyesight falling upon the Chinoike. He'd shake his head confidently "no" and point in the direction of where Quinn had been standing, which was comically now vacant. 

Taking a few steps back, he'd see a few figures begin to approach him, one which was more notable than the rest. Ironically he addressed the Genome as "Lord Guren", a title which could only refer to his brother. Though in a matter of mere seconds, he'd apologize and express his apology for mistaking him for the other.

Zidane would bow in return. "Not Guren, I'm his brother Zidane." the Genome would calmly retort as he returned to his standing posture. "It is nice to meet you Lord First. Shocking to see someone of your status being here with commoners and genin like myself."

Just as the wanderer would start to get comfortable in the almost trance-like state of joy, he would realize something. A presence was coming in his direction. Straight for him, but not hostile. Looking, Ronin would see it was the other shinobi he had nodded his head at not too long ago. Oh no, bad situation. His body would start to become tense and unsettled at the thought of this. Social interaction. One of the worst case scenarios. Especially in a place like this. But, at least for the time being, the shadow...or ghost, or whatever thing had been following him for his entire life practically, was temporarily sated. Also lulled by the sounds of the village. Speaking of though, how was the rascal doing? Quickly, the Shinkou would tilt his face back in the direction of where he had last seen the being...and it was...gone??? Now that. Wasn't good. Talk about being a bad situation only becoming worse, this was the last thing in which the puppeteer needed in this moment. If that thing started to cause it's typical mischief...then, well...Ronin would just hope that this moment wouldn't live in that way to see the ending of it's tale.

However, the more current situation, when he'd turn back, he'd now be face to face with the shinobi who was walking over. The sunglass-wearing dude would go onto make an introduction about himself, stating his name as Soma Mochizuki, but goes by Shin. Then the rather peculiar question got posed, and well, Ronin was able to piece together the bits to the puzzle. From the looks of it, and what Shin had asked and said, he was blind. This made the puppetry specialist rather embarrassed about nodding to a blind man...so much so that he'd fumble through his response when saying "Why- me...oh? Um...-" Great first impression Ronin, relax. Breath. "Well my name is- erm. Ronin...Ronin Shinkou. I'm just. Well- here, i guess?" He'd start to get flustered within the moment, and before being able to continue any further with what he liked doing, the man would notice over the other lad's left shoulder. A shadow...his ghost...Oh no... It must've sensed Ronin's unease because of the need to actually talk for once, and was now...attempting to choke Shin! Oh NO!

Quickly, Ronin would react in the only manner he knew how when it came to dealing with the Yuumei; clumsily from a lack of knowledge. He'd dash forward with an outstretched hand shouting "Nooooooooo!" The palm of which being clearly directed over Soma's shoulder, but to any regular onlooker nothing would be there. Instead, what they would see. Was Ronin running so fast with such a short gap between the two, that stopping at the drop of a dime wasn't as easy as it made out to be. His more stoic nature being clearly undermined within the moment of potential disaster...all for the disaster to be, somewhat avoided? The Yuumei would vanish in his eyes, the second before his palm would've made contact with it, but, because the black haired Oto nin wasn't expecting this, he'd take a tumble into the poor blind guy; sending both to the ground. Face first for himself, the stranger most likely had the fortune of being knocked down back first seeing as they were facing each other when they collided.

Soma shin would notice ronin and how he was stumbling and say “It’s all good I can see through echolocation. There is no need to act all funny and weird.” He could see that this young man was visibly uncomfortable and not really wanting to talk but he would continue and see if he wanted to go and see some of the other shinobi. He would say “do you know anyone else here? It has been a while since I left the Mochizuki caves. So I am trying to get reacquainted with the village and this is what I walk out to. Music, which is making it easy to see.” He would start to walk around with ronin . He would have his conversation with Ronin and continue talking to him. He would say “So did you alway live in Otogakure? I was raised in the caves here like most in our clan but it is always nice to get out every now and then to feel the warmth of the sun and hear all the unique sounds of the village. You know what I mean? I mean I do love the caves and the community but it’s nice to get out every now and then.” He would wander around either with or without ronin looking for others.
