The Tea Shop with Jurei Pt 1.

Mission:

Joro woke up to the gentle rays of the morning sun filtering through the blinds of his small apartment. Stretching his arms above his head, he yawned and swung his legs out of bed, feeling the cool wooden floor beneath his feet. Heading over to the kitchen, he filled the tea kettle his mother left him with water and set it on the stove, the soft whistle signaling that it was time to brew his favorite tea. As he sipped the hot comforting liquid, he felt the warmth spread through his body, chasing away the last vestiges of sleep.

After finishing his tea, Joro made his way to the bathroom for a quick shower. The cascade of warm water woke him up, and he emerged feeling refreshed and ready to face the day. Dressed in a pair of well-worn jeans and a fitted shirt, he glanced at himself in the mirror, adjusting the collar before nodding in satisfaction. Looking over to see where Stout was, Joro noticed that Stout was just climbing back into his hammock. He must have already been gone for an hour or two. It was still early in the morning around 6 or so. Stout probably got up at around 4:30.

"Hey dude, how was your morning?" laughing as the Stoat just yawned, flashing his teeth. "Rough morning, huh? Well, we got some missions to do with Jurei these next few days, and she has a familiar too named Ninjiro. He's an interesting character, to say the least."

With a sense of purpose, Joro gathered his essentials and made his way out the door, his mind already focused on the mission ahead with Jurei. Today he had to meet her at a local tea shop to help them with organizing their inventory and setting up the next order.

As they headed over to the tea shop, Joro would enter and speak to the manager letting him know that he was there to help them out these next couple of days at the request of the owner. He told him that his teammate would be arriving shortly. As he checked off a few things he noticed that Jurei and Ninjiro had arrived and were making their way towards him.

"Jurei! Ninjiro! Great to see you, it's been too long." he said with a joyful smile. He would wait a few seconds letting them respond and for him to give a kind answer. "You ready? Should be easy the first day just taking inventory and seeing what needs to be restocked. The next few will be a little more hustle and bustle," Stout would start to bob on Joro's shoulders a little, noticing the other familiar.

They would start to make their way sorting everything in the shop and taking note of what they had and needed. As they finished up the day Joro made sure that the order was perfect bid the manager adieu and told Jurei that he would see her tomorrow for the next part of the missions.

At this Joro and Stout would head home. Joro made a small quick dinner of chicken, rice, and some green beans. After that he would head off to bed, falling asleep to the sounds of crickets chirping in the wind.

Another day, another mission to write off her to-do checklist for the day. Not that Jurei is one to complain when there's work to be done, but lately, she's noticing a odd pattern whenever she would receive assignments since her Genin Graduation. Oftentimes, she would have long periods of time where there were no missions to be done that would request her presence. Normally, one would think this to be a good thing and provide a moment of reprieve until one's services are called upon. Unluckily for Jurei, instead, her days are substituted for painstaking, paper-pushing deskwork that she was assigned by her father at a moment's notice.

In such cases, she's actually quite relieved to be outside of her office space when a D-Rank mission request rolled into her mailbox earlier this morning for a request of a tea shop owner to assist in inspecting, organizing, and restocking his inventory. Given Jurei's background, doing a simple task as counting what is and is not in stock came to her as naturally as breathing. She takes  pride in being able to do work that others would consider tedious with ease. It's  for this reason that she accepted the mission without hesitation. That, and being able to move her legs further than two meters is a nice change of pace.

Dressed in her usual, casual attire, Jurei makes her way to the tea shop where her client awaited her presence. The tea shop was located within the heart of the city square where most of the shops are located, so Jurei had to navigate through the heavy foot traffic to make it to her destination on time. When she arrived at the tea shop, she noticed that there was already someone waiting outside for her. She waves to him as she approaches, "Morning Joro!... Yes, I'm as ready as I'll ever be." She then notices the stoat on his shoulder looking intently toward Ninjiro, who was curled comfortably across her shoulders eyeing at the creature with furrowed brows. "Oh, I didn't notice you got a recent addition to the party." She placed her hands on her knees, a grin on her countenance, as she silently mouthed the words 'Hi there' to Joro's companion.

'Ninji, I know what you're thinking.'

'I don't like the way it's lookin' at me for this long, Jurei... 'Ey, 'ey! Whatta ya gettin' so damn close for, I don't want get any closer to that thing that you already are!'

'Oh, relax, it's probably just curious about you.'

'Well I ain't curious about it! It looks like a walking, oversized rat! A big, fat, stinkin' rat!'

Jurei chuckles as she straightens herself back up. Jurei would then turn her attention back towards Joro and smile. "Shall we?" She gestures toward the entrance of the tea shop. Jurei opened the door to the tea shop and stepped inside, basking in the aroma of freshly brewed teas. The scent was so pleasant that she took a moment to close her eyes and take a deep breath before continuing further into the establishment.

The owner of the shop greeted her warmly and explained what they were going to be doing today. He led them to his storage room where he kept all of his supplies and showed them where everything was located. He also showed them how to use the inventory system that he had set up for them on his computer so that they could keep track of what they had in stock and what needed to be ordered and a pen, clipboard, and checklist paper to fill out for when they had to fill in the details.

Shortly after, Jurei and Ninjiro immediately set about their task at hand. The two of them worked diligently and efficiently as they counted every single item that was stored inside the tea shop's storage room. They made sure to write down every detail about each item on their checklist so that there would be no mistakes later on when it came time to order new supplies. Once they finished counting all of the items, Jurei and Ninjiro then went over to the computer system where Jurei began entering all of the data into the system while Ninjiro stood nearby watching her type away at the keyboard.

Jurei took note of everything she saw on the screen before turning back towards Ninjiro and smiled warmly at him, "Well, that should do for today! I think we've done a pretty good job." She bids farewell to Joro and his new friends and resign for the rest of the day.
