A Search for Permission

Shikami heard rumors, legends of a technique that had surface since his time as Mizukage, and he wished two things, one to explore the validity of these rumors, and two, if true, see if he would be allowed to learn such a technique. Shikami was an unschedualed drop in, but he smiled at the desk clerk as he kept walking on by to the door of the kage's office. He was however respectful enough to knock to see if the Deputy Kage, Shiro was in. He hoped that the man would grant him an Audience, and who knows, maybe the two could converse and get somethings out of the air about the past, with the fight between them for Deputy now in the past and Shiro the current Deputy, he proved his strength.

Shikami held no ill will towards Shiro although he could taste it that day in the air towards himself from Shiro in the arena. He hoped they could get past it all, and maybe have a revisit to the day of the arena, on more friendly terms. Shikami awaited the moment to be told to enter before doing so, knowing the sound of Shiro's voice he would ensure that it was the only voice that instructed him at the time.

Neatly stacking the stacks of papers that he read through and signed, Shiro meticulously tapped at the desk inside the Mizukage’s office. His eyes glazed over with boredom, hands almost aching for something else to do. His sifting through those documents left him with nearly nothing to do; he only awaited a request to go; the dark wooden walls of the place he had used to call his permanent office left a sour taste in his mouth. This was a temporary position until Akabayashi had returned. Yet, instead of keeping communication, he had gone radio silent since he last spoke to himself and Shikami. Shiro could feel the sudden presence of someone he knew all too well. The dark chakra of Shikami Shinkou was within these halls, a pleasant surprise from the usual monotony of the day. He wondered what Shikami was here for, perhaps another report from their Mizukage, or maybe it was for a challenge of combat.

Whatever it was, he knew that something was interesting that the Shinkou would bring to today. His remaining byakugan sprang to life. He was analyzing the halls to see where Shikami was, finding the man he had fought nearing his door. Once Shikami had placed himself in front of the Mizukage’s door, Shiro spoke out to the Kirigakure Shinobi.

“You may enter, Shikami Shinkou.”

His hands suddenly rested on the Mizukage’s table, curious as to why the Shade release user was approaching him today.
