A day in the sun [P] [Zee]

Ah, what a glorious day it was!

The sun was shining, the sky was clear, and the ocean was a vibrant blue that looked good enough to drink. Appearances can be deceiving, however, as it was not, in fact, good enough to drink - as our intrepid hero Dana had found out mere seconds prior.

"Bleh, eugh, fecking eejit," Dana spluttered, putting the glass of ocean water back on the table she had grown through Wood Release beside her. She'd hoped that mixing sand and sea water would somehow magically combine into a Wondrous recipe, but it simply lacked that spark that her other Wondrous recipes had. But what could that spark be? When she'd mixed actual gasoline and tea, she'd made a deadly energy booster that her old friend Saya had bought in bulk. What made sand and sea water any different?

"Bollocks to it," Dana muttered, slightly annoyed, and sat back down on the golden sand. Even the hot sun was starting to get on her nerves a bit now, so Dana formed a few handseals and formed a canopy out of Foo Dog Heads, the blocky canines swarming out of the sand around her and twisting in the air above her to create some shade.

Now she was nice and comfortable, Dana stretched back and laid down. The whole scene was quite an odd one indeed: Dana, dressed in a full-body wetsuit, surrounded by blocky wooden dogs, and beside her was a small table with a drinking glass on it. Said glass was filled with a gross brown sludgy liquid that looked like literal poison.

Emi was happy to finally have a day to relax on the beach. Nobody had approached her about a sudden lack of someone needed for an odd job. Nobody had quit almost violently causing their boss to look for a replacement above all other needs. No need to fill in for a stunt actor for some two bit third rate fucking moving like Strike of the Ak-

Emi took a deep breath. No need to think on those shitters (who hadn't even payed her yet), just... relax. Don't let them ruin today just by existing.

She at first forced a smile onto her face and, as time went, it became more and more real. Emi carried an umbrella with her, alternating blue and white bits of fabric string between the rods that would hold it up when she extended it. She had a bag with a change of clothes, some drinks, and a big towel. The towel was mostly yellow, with green stripes.

Emi herself wore a one piece bathing suit with a boy short style bottom. They were black, except for a single vertical white line/loop thing that went down the right side of suit (not at the seam, just close to the right side). Yes. Today would be a good day.

And then what looked like wooden dogs of death grew out of the same, encompassing someone who... seemed to be using them as shade.

Did.. did they not know what an umbrella was??

Emi walked over towards the person, as most other families and even most individuals at the beach, backed further away.

"Um, hi," she said, trying to keep a slightly wider berth from the dogs, so having to speak up a bit. "Do you, like, need an umbrella??"
