Stinky Business

Mission specs:

It seemed his village needed Ichigo for more than just his medical knowledge. Sitting at his desk the Drunk went over the contents of a letter he received earlier, not knowing what to expect but soon finding out what it was about. Apparently Kumogakure's aviary hired a shinobi to help with cleaning up but unfortunately the person in question ended up getting injured during a mission. "I would know, I just finished treating him some moments ago" the Drunk spoke out loud. Luckily for the boy his injuries weren't all too bad and he'd be able to return back to duty in a couple of days. However, that didn't fix the problem the aviary was having due to their help not being able to assist them no longer.

Ichigo would ponder if there was anything he could do in order to turn today's mission into a success either way. "I guess I don't really have another choice, do I?". There was no use in mulling over endless thoughts, they wouldn't get them anywhere either. Which is why he decided to stand in for the person who originally got assigned the mission to. Grabbing his jacket after leaving a note for Enyo before setting out to his new destination. Leaving the hospital in his Chuunin outfit, contrary to his doctor's uniform he usually wore, Ichigo thought it was a nice change of pace for once. On his way over to the Kumogakure's aviary the Drunk started to realize he had never been there once, all he knew was that they were necessary for communication within and without the village, quite an important task if you'd ask him.

Upon his arrival Ichigo was immediately greeted, the people present clearly surprised he was the one showing up. "Good afternoon everyone, as you all may know the shinobi assigned to this mission won't be able to make it due to his injuries but worry not, I decided to join you in his stead". After a little bit of small talk here and there Ichigo would start once he knew where to begin. Unfortunately one of the things that needed to be done was .. scrub some bird poop. "Well, I've seen and smelled worse at the hospital" he said in an attempt to laugh it away. With some water and other materials the Drunk began scrubbing like there was no tomorrow, making sure no dirty spots were left.

Once he was done with his task, Ichigo would assist the keepers of the aviary in any way possible. The Drunk was used to getting his hands dirty so he could handle this much. He had to admit, it was more fun than he could ever had imagined. A couple of hours passed until they were finally all done, a sign for Ichigo to say his goodbyes and return to the hospital before Enyo got all worried about his whereabouts. "I guess I better hurry". His day ended as it started, as a nice change of pace.
