Training the Adavanced Elements

The day before this was a long one. Person after person came to the hospital requesting to be seen for simple cases of the flu. The workload on the civilian doctors was so high that they requested the aid of the shinobi staff. In so doing they ruined all the plans Akabayashi had set and things would be delayed for the day. Possibly, more had one doctor not had the sense to pull nurses for things such as routine check ups.

With the day prior in the past it was time to focus on the present. Putting on a t shirt and sweat pants the man would exit his home, grabbing his Nova cloak from the coat hanger on the way out. This wasn't the doctor's normal attire these were his training clothes and the man looked like he was ready to train with the old used training shoes on his feet. So, far Akabayashi could only use one wood release technique and that would have to be amended. His plan was to find a Senju or other wood release user and ask them to teach him or just watch their actions and see he things moved from there. He was partway through getting the handle of wood dragon the building of chakra and the required seals were simple the molding of the element was the hard part.

Wood release was very different from Lava and Boil release. Where lava and boil came out as orbs, waves, or sprays wood release took the shape of something and the chakra required molding to fit the form of the wood construct being created. Many things could be formed from wood release that couldn't be formed from boil for example. Boil release came usually in a liquid or gaseous form, while Lava could be solid in the case of rubberized earth it lacked the durability that Senju Wood could achieve. Both elements had their uses of course, woods rigidity decreased its flexibility where as the flexibility of lava decreased its rigidity.

Once at the training grounds the man went to the gate labeled 'dangerous proceed at own risk'. There was more attached to the gate like warnings to watch for people training, but the man had read the warnings before and no new signs had been added in a while. Inside he could see many people training using various methods. Some used dolls to practice sword swings or shoot fireballs, others used targets to throw weapons or shoot arrows. This however is not what the Terumi sought so he would look deeper into the grounds avoiding people's workout areas as he moved about. The thing the Nova was looking for would surely be somewhere about this place otherwise he would have to come back another day and look again.

During his walk he recalled the man in the mines Taichi. Who had made wooden axes on his hands. If only the Nova had the forethought to get the man's contact information. There was no Taichi within the village of Haven which was unfortunate for him.

Deep in the wildlife reserve, the white haired Uchiha sat at the head of his meeting table with a smile on his face. The day before he had finished his conversation with the leader of the village, and he couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. He looked down at the deed to the land that he had crafted to be a little more suitable for living. He took in a deep breath, and as he exhaled he heard soft footsteps emanating from the hallway to the side of the meeting hall.

The elder Uchiha looked to his side and he saw a woman in a dark green robe with her long blonde hair draping over both sides of her robe. "Master Taichi. What has you up so early this morning?" Her soft voice echoed through the room. He simply showed her the deed to the land with a smile across his face. "Good morning Gunnr. It seems that I have been able to finally provide you girls with a permanent home. Also, I haven't earned that title of master. So you guys can call be by another name. You girls can call me Father. I have already called to each of the girls to meet us in the meeting room so I can tell them the same."

Gunnr nodded respectfully and took her seat at the table with a slight smile on her face. All of the girls began to exit their rooms and one by one they took their seat around the meeting table, all facing their father. "Good morning, girls. I wanted to show you this." He held up the deed to the land in the wildlife reserve and he showed it to the girls with a smile on his face, probably the first one that the girls had seen in quite a while. 

"This my sweet girls, is the deed to the land that we have thus far been hiding out in. I spoke with the leader of this village and in exchange for my hand and aid in battle, they have given us the deed to this land and given us the chance to be a permanent part of this village. I will be asking for all of your guys' help in the battles that will come to us soon. Also as I have already told Gunnr, you no longer shall call me Master Taichi as I have not earned that title. What you can call me from now on shall be father. Is this acceptable to you all?"

The girls would all give him their approval and they would begin to speak to him, starting with Hildr. "Father. I am so proud of you. I know that you have been up most nights worrying yourself sick about us, and now all of your hard work has paid off and you have gotten us a place to live. Thank you, Father." Sigrun, Gunnr, and Olrun all nodded their heads as they agreed with what Hildr had just said and they did not feel the need to add anything to what she had said. 

Gondul said nothing, but held a slightly perturbed look on her face. "What makes you think that we want to stay in this village? I wanted us all to leave and go explore the world. That is why we have been going hunting, we have been trying to better ourselves in the act of stalking and espionage because we were readying ourselves to leave this place, now you come and tell us that we are stuck here for good? You didn't even consult with us!" Gondul slammed her hands on the table as a means to punctuate her sentence. 

At first Taichi was sad, then he was furious at her outburst, but that fury quickly turned to understanding. "I understand that this may not have been what you wanted. But I will tell you that I have traveled the world, I have seen what there is to see, and I can tell you right now that it's not out of the question for us to visit places. But living out there? That's a different beast entirely. Every day you are too cold or too hot, you're uncomfortable and always having to be on the lookout for an ambush or a raid of some sort. No matter where you are, you never get to truly unwind and relax because you never know when ior if you are safe. I promise you that I will make sure to take all of you girls to see the world. We will see so much of the world you will get sick of it, but I do want you all to have a home that you can call your own." He stood from his chair and he walked over to Gondul and placed his hands on her shoulders. He kneeled down and looked at her directly in the eye.

Her eyes were cold and distant, but when they met with her father's, they softened and a small tear began to form in them. "I know it's hard not to have a say in things that happen in life, but I hope that you will join me and your sisters as we go through this journey of life. I truly love you and I care about you, and because of that love that I have for you and for your sisters, I had to do what I felt was right and to keep you all safe. So what do you say my daughter, will you join your father in this journey?" The elder Uchiha's would be sincere and full of love, bringing Gondul to a state of crying, only softly crying though.

"Yes, father. I will join you. I love you too." Her father wiped away her tears as she wrapped her arms around his neck. All of the girls gathered around them both and they all shared a group hug together. When they were done, the elder would tell the girls to go to their rooms and get ready for a day of training. The girls did as Taichi asked and went to their rooms to change into more combat ready gear. When the girls were ready for training, they all met in the meeting hall once more. They were escorted out of their home and into the wildlife reserve by their father. 

With a smile on his face still, he turned to face his daughters. "I want you all to meet me in the training grounds, but I want you all to take a route that would be nigh undetectable. We need to work on our swift yet silent movements, understood?" The girls all nodded their head and scattered, heading towards the training grounds. Each of the girls took their own route to the training grounds, but most decided to take the trees. The elder Uchiha on the other hand decided to merge with the ground and transport himself there almost instantly. As he unmerged with the ground below, he would rise up and find himself directly before a man that he had seen once before, the man that used a chakra blade to carve the ore from the mine's walls. 

"Hello, sir. It is good to see you again. I believe your name was Akabayashi, is that correct?" This would be the moment that all of his daughters would arrive at the scene, showing up in almost a flash due to their incredible speed. He would not address their arrival and they would not call attention to it as they knew that their father was currently speaking with someone else and it would be rude to interrupt. Taichi would simply smile in the man's direction, awaiting patiently for his response and confirmation of his name.

Unnerving. That was the only thing one could think when someone began rising from the ground directly in the path you are walking. The Nova nearly reached into his pocket on reflex to draw a weapon before remembering the signs warning people of the training going on. As the man's head breached the surface things became increasingly odd. The very person the last wanderer wished to see came as if called. Odd.

Once Taichi was standing fully he would speak and a group of women would surround the two conversing as he asked the doctor's name. In surprise he craned his neck a bit to see who was around. Each of the ladies had the eyes Kizmaru had drawn and they were surrounding Taichi and the doctor. The timing led Akabayashi to believe these ladies were with Taichi. "Indeed it is, Taichi." He would say his eyes moving between the many faces. They were fast to say the least and speed was something the Terumi didn't utilize. Luckily, the girls kept some decent distance enough to utilize one technique if he was quick on the draw.

"I was hoping you would be here. I recently added wood release to my arsenal and remembered what you did in the mines. I wished to ask if you knew any techniques you'd be willing to teach." Slipping his hands into his lab coat pocket he would pull out a piece of paper with the Rinnegan drawing upon it. "Also, someone asked me about the eyes these ladies possess. Which clan does this doujutsu belong to?"

Truthfully, he wasn't sure if Taichi would answer about the drawing. Akabayashi certainly wasn't going to ask if Taichi and his gang had attacked the Mizukage. Hell, even the Nova was uncertain if the man was attacked. It was implied however that the person with those eyes knew how to track the Mizukage and he needed a way to go undetected. Hopefully, this meeting wouldn't be about the Mizukage and the man and friends were just there to help him.

"With wood release I can use Nativity of a Sea of Trees and I haven't quite gotten the wood dragon down. The solid state of wood is a challenge for me. My lava and boil release can be solids, liquids, and gases, but lava is flexible and rubbery. The density of wooden constructs is foreign to me." He hoped Taichi also wished to learn something from Terumi, as being in one's debt was not something he enjoyed. You know, assuming the man who had risen from the ground didn't plan on attacking him.

Once the name was confirmed, Akabayashi spoke on his goal in the training grounds today, he wanted to learn the sacred wood release, and he was looking for someone to teach him the finer details of it all. Taichi grinned and nodded as he understood that the gods had in fact brought him here for a reason, it was to obtain the position of teacher in this village that he had grown fond of, and was now an official member of. "If it is the sacred wood release that you wish to learn, then that is something that I am able to teach you."

With these words he turned to his girls and he gave them a motion to exit the area, "Good work girls. Go and train on your own for a while. I will be working with this man for a little while." With that, the girls all nodded and disbursed quickly, allowing them their space to train and teaching. The younger Uchiha turned back to Nova corps member and he bowed to him, showing him a sign of respect before their lesson would begin. "If you are looking to perform the Wood Dragon, then that will be where we can begin. First I am going to create a source of Mokuton, a forest of my very own making using Nativity, a world of trees. Seeming how I am attempting to teach this to you I will perform the hand seals for this technique, even though I have since mastered this technique, removing the requirements of hand seals altogether."

He performed the hand seals required for both Nativity a world of trees, and Wood Dragon. As soon as he was finished with the hand seals for the forest, a mighty forest would spring up from the ground that surrounded them both. The forest would produce trees five meters thick, filling up an area of 50 meters, with a  clearing that allowed them both a space of 10 meters to work from within. The trees would bend at the top, creating a shaded area. 

"This is the first technique that would be good for you to know. This is the cornerstone for any wood release user." He continued with the hand seals for the Wood Dragon technique. When he finished the seals, a rather large dragon would explode from the trees behind the Uchiha and would launch itself directly for the Nova corps member. He would have the dragon halt directly before his position should he not move on his own accord, this was done just to show how powerful the wood dragon can be. With this demonstration was finished, he would motion for Akabayashi to do the exact same thing as he did. He was sure that this individual was going to be able to figure out this particular demonstration rather easily with the sheer amount of experience that he must have had being a member of the Nova Corps, the very group that the younger Uchiha himself was aspiring to join.

Each movement would be done at a slower pace, to ensure that the Nova Corps member would be able to easily observe each step of the techniques. This was a new pace for the young Uchiha, it was something that he hadn't done in a long time, teaching someone. He remembered the child that once walked with him in the lands of Suna. He felt a certain kinship with the idea of being a mentor or a teacher to those who sought his help, and having the chance to teach something to a member of the famed Nova Corps, well that was rewarding in an of itself. 

The dragon would stop its travel towards Akabayashi, leaving a meter between the two of them when he would notice something that the Nova member would do that was most curious. He rose his hand, and there was a certain marking on his arms, something that the Uchiha was able to pick up on due to his enhanced eyesight that he had activated as the dragon traveled to see exactly what his newfound comrade would do. He deactivated his eyes instantly after seeing this reaction, knowing that his comrade would be busy with the dragon hurling itself towards him. 

He wasn't too concerned with him knowing that he had the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, as he already knew that he was an Uchiha. But the activation of those eyes were generally taken as a sign of threat, which was not the Snow haired shinobi's intention. He would dispel his own wood dragon and forest so he could see his comrade's attempt at the same technique. The hand seals were performed and the techniques were both exhibited with perfection. The Uchiha would grin as he saw what he was already sure of, this man was one that could learn quickly.

He didn't know if he wanted to ask a question about the maneuver he had performed with his arm when he saw the dragon going directly for him, as he didn't want to seem as if he was being too forward. But he figured that they were now comrades, so being open and honest with each other would be a good idea. He walked up to Akabayashi once again and he congratulated him on the lesson that he had already learned, rather quickly he added. "Congratulations on learning those new techniques, it was impressive to see you perform them without flaw so early, but I guess that is to be expected being that you are a member of the rather popular Nova Corps." He would think for a moment as he had recalled a certain question that he had accidentally ignored earlier. 

"To answer your question that you had asked before, about the women and their eyes. The eyes are something that I don't quite know the origin of, as they were a gift granted to me from the gods. I had not asked nor deserved such a gift, but they seemed me worthy and fit to obtain such a gift. Do you know of these eyes? If so, how did you come of that information?" The young Uchiha had his own questions to ask, but he wanted to give this conversation topic a chance to conclude before asking his own questions, for it was patience that was going to get his questions answered.

As the Nova corps member had leaped off of the tree that he had manipulated, he stood directly before the young Uchiha. "I'm just thankful for the opportunity to help a fellow shinobi for a change. For far too long I wandered the borders of the continent, I had been so used to hurting others and completing contracts that involved criminal acts, and it was never a life that I had dreamed for myself. This village has already given me quite a lot, and for that I am indeed grateful." This is when the Terumi would explain that he was unable to answer his question, but he did divulge a little bit of information that was deemed quite useful.

After he explained why he could not answer the question that had been asked of him, he then asked the Uchiha one more question. The question was one of as an attempt to understand just how he had gotten these eyes. He thought about the question, and he did remember the time that he had swapped his Mangekyou Sharingan with Hinata, the woman that had since died and was turned into his Valkyrie Hildr. When they had swapped eyes, they did turn into the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan phase of their clans dojutsu. "Actually yes, I have swapped Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan before. But that was years ago. These eyes didn't manifest until recently, during my time here in Hoshigakure. I had a dream, a visit from the god king Odin. He had his ravens rip my eyes out and replaced them with these ones." 

He thought for a moment about the person who was attacked by someone sharing the same eyes that both he and his girls had owned. He thought about the fact that there was another individual in the world with the same eyes as himself. "Are there others who follow the same gods that I do? Or did the gods just grant others this power to others to spread their strength here on Earth?" he thought to himself, trying to understand just what these eyes meant for the world at large, and how many others had these eyes as well.

He then looked back to Akabayashi and he quelled any concern that he may have had about his girls. "Well I can assure you that the women that you have seen with these eyes have not attacked anyone. They are still quite new to the world and they haven't truly worked on their combat quite yet. The person had a drawing of it, did they? Interesting." The snow haired shinobi thought about the child from Kirigakure. The one that had sparred with him in the training grounds where his new eyes had first manifested with those black orbs. "So if you are deemed a wanderer, then my question becomes one more about you. Are you bound to secrecy to your own lands? Or are you more of a free spirit that can do what he pleases?" 

Taichi had many things that he had loaded into this question, the largest piece would be the fact that he wanted to help the village understand his eyes, not to mention he would hope that they would in turn help him understand them better. But he did not want the world to know about his own eyes until he was sure that he could trust this individual.

Depending on the answer that this man would give would largely move the conversation into difference directions, and he was hopeful that this was in fact an individual that he could trust because there was so much information that he didn't have, and this may be the opportunity that he needed to take to finally learn a little bit about the very eyes that resided within his skull.

Well it seemed the information was relatively spot on. Someone had let two actual high ranking missing ninja into the village while the kage was away. Then Ayato returned and had them join the village. As a missing ninja hunter something about the situation seemed wrong, but Taichi as an individual didn't seem too bad. Even if he admittedly hurt others and frequented crime. It seemed the Uchiha wished to rectify his past behaviors and that was fine. Besides, someone above Akabayashi's pay grade trusted the Uchiha enough to keep him around. There was someone or someone's that needed a refresher course on gate duty however, if not a more severe punishment.

Stein the missing ninja selling back alley organs was a huge problem. A problem which could have been solved by turning away wanted ninja. The guy even got two individuals from other village's here for the exam in trouble. While the dude basically got off with a name change and a welcome to Hoshi meet and greet with the kage. While the poor bastards buying jugo parts became wanted criminals.

Knowing that Taichi had swapped his EMS for another set was a start, however it wasn't the whole picture. If it took years to manifest there had to be something more to it. Perhaps, this dream was worth taking note of. The way Taichi described the dream, seemed disturbingly prophetic. A dream of eyes taken and then replaced with new ones.

Looking at the girls earlier and seeing them in various places around doing their training they didn't look "new" to the world. They looked to be young for sure, but they weren't infants. The Mizukage didn't specify if the person with the eyes or tracking him was a man or a woman. For now I will place this in the maybe column. Taichi was saying he wasn't responsible but he was also a missing ninja prior to joining Hoshi very recently. He even has the eyes that the kage of Kiri drew. Then there was one other thing, the Mizukage was being tracked into Hoshi, but when he got the scrambling seal his trail died. These could simply be coincidences, however as seven sets of the same eye weren't indicated and Taichi said the eyes awakened in the village.

"My loyalty is to this village, but my role within the village requires me to aid other villages when asked. I must walk a thin line. I go to Suna and spill their secrets to our kage, then I become their enemy. I don't give enough information to Hoshi, my role is meaningless. It's an awkward juggling act most of the time." Akabayashi answered the question the best way with the truth. His status forced him into the role of a free spirit, but he was loyal to Hoshi at the end of the day.

"For now we can put the six ringed eyes on hold. I don't think you are the one attacking world leaders. Though, I must acknowledge the timing you and your girls have is odd. As you showed up shortly afterwards." The Terumi would explain hoping the Uchiha found relief that he wasn't under suspicion for it.

"Are there any more wood style jutsu you could show me? I wish I had something to give you. Then I wouldn't feel so bad asking for more than you've already given." The doctor would say fumbling through his pockets until grabbing a jar with a Terumi organ inside. "Unless you were looking for transplants or a specific technique." He would say putting the jar back into his lab coat pocket.

The young Uchiha listened to the man speak on his opinions that he didn't think that his girls were the ones attacking the world leaders, which was a positive thing as he knew that he and his girls had nothing to do with it. He had a silent sigh of relief and he continued to listen carefully to the Terumi explain his role in the villages. It was a life that somewhat reminded him of his own life when he was traveling throughout the realms of the world. The main difference was he didn't belong to any place, while the wanderer lifestyle seemed to belong to multiple places at once. 

It was a lifestyle that was somewhat difficult to understand from his own point of view, but he was sure that he provided plenty of benefit to the village if he was one of the few that was allowed to wear the white jacket that symbolized his belonging to the Nova Corps. He wasn't sure if he wanted to speak on the possibility of him joining the Corps, as he wasn't sure just how he was going to take the news that a lowly missing ninja was going to be rising straight through the ranks to match his very own rank.

When it was his turn to speak, the Terumi had provided him with a means of something in return for teaching him what he had known. The snow haired Uchiha was going to be quick to dismiss the idea of getting something in return, but that was when he had heard the mention of transplants in return for the lessons. This was something that was very interesting as he was in fact in need of another transplant as he had done pretty much all he could with both the Senju and the Juugo transplants, so maybe it was time that he gathered yet another transplant. 

"Actually there are two things that you may be able to help me with, not really in exchange for the lessons that I have been teaching you, but more so just helping a fellow village member. I have heard of your store, and it is an interesting store indeed by what I've been told. The two things that I have been contemplating obtaining was the kidney from a Terumi, and the last thing is the curse mark. I am not sure if that is exactly what they have been officially named, but that is what I have heard them called before." He would wait for a moment before he would then answer his question about any other techniques that he could show as a lesson.

"As a matter of fact, I do have two other techniques that have proven to be quite essential in battle. These I have not mastered, so the hand seals are something that even I need to perform for these two techniques. The first technique is the very first technique that I ever learned after unlocking this natural transformation. Much like the shadow clone, it is creating an identical copy of yourself using your chakra. This one is made out of the wood chakra and proves to be quite a bit hardier than those made from shadows." He would perform the hand seals required for Wood Clone and two chunks of wood would protrude from his sides, taking only a moment to take their form as identical to the young Uchiha.

"This one is fairly simple and if you are familiar with any type of clone technique, as I assume you are familiar with at least one, then you will be able to understand this technique with relative ease. The next one however is one that takes a lot out of you, especially when you have not performed it before. It is similar to that of the wood clone, but the construct that you make is much, much larger." He performed the hand seals required for Wood Human. As soon as he had finished the final seal, massive amounts of wood would explode from the ground beneath them, and it would almost immediately take the form of a massive humanoid with the young Uchiha standing upon it's head. He would yell from his new position that was 30 meters above the ground. "This is the second and final technique that I think would benefit you in battle." He dispelled the wood human and the wood clones and motioned for the Terumi to take the floor and perform the very same techniques to see if he was able to perform both techniques that he had just been shown.

Based on the fact that he was able to perform both World of Trees, which took a lot of chakra, just as much as Wood Human, and the fact that he was able to perform Wood dragon with such ease. He would be able to perform these techniques with little to no issue.
