Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Mon Apr 26, 2021 7:37 pm
Gin fell victim to the first phase of Tsuna’s strategy - just as the boy assumed that he would have. As the light persist the gears of the plan continued. The Original Tsuna continued his course of actions for there was no need to alter them, despite what was being attempted.

As the clone made its way towards the downed and blinded Akimichi it noticed him moving to grasp something. In that moment it glanced over to the Kunai that was lodged into the boulder, this Kunai was ordinary, but it was a ‘marker’ set by Tsuna just in case something like this was to occur. A contingency route, if you would. As the smoke began to engulf the immediate area of the Akimichi the clone continued its advance, noting exactly where the Kunai was and exactly what it needed to do to get there. The clone would hold its breath, while leaping in the direction of the Kunai - coincidentally at the same time the Akimichi launched his projectile - the clone closed its eyes as to not have them irritated by the smoke. The Kunai that was tossed would never meet with it as he would have leap to the marker once he hit 1.5 meters from its starting point and it was sent in a line where it was last to be expected,  considering Gin’s swift response to the blinding. Relying on its sensory capabilities, the clone maneuvered itself in such a way that it was now standing above the Akimichi, chakra channeled through the soles of its feet clinging to the boulder side over the Kunai. It could sense the man before it and as it landed it continued with its strike in the same fashion with the same speed and sharpness, only this time the arc was from above with a filling the gap in the same manner as before, .5 meters of space between the waves as they stacked. This method would crash into the back of the Kumo shinobi.

In the same process as the waves of chakra are released they also had a force strong enough to push the smoke which has a health of 20 out of the clearing but 7 meters. In the same time the light from Tsuna’s flash paper would dissipate entirely.

Do to the Akimichi’s blindness it would be quite odd for him to be able to navigate so calmly in this sort of situation, not knowing where the next attack would come from. One could not expect more than frantic, yet cautions movements until his sight was returned. The clone would raise its foot and press it onto the Kunai, the chakra acted like a magnet as it would swiftly pull it out with the sole of its foot. Stepping to the left one meter, before leaping down exactly 5 meters behind where Gin was last seen laying. It exhaled as it opened its eyes, using the sand under its foot to conceal the Kunai attached to it.

Tsuna, when the smoke bomb was set loose, he merely glanced up and over in the direction. “Smoke Bomb... figured that was going to happen. Luckily I placed that marker for the clone.” He whispered to himself. As he waited for the next move to take place. His IQ of 230 was proving rather valuable in this game of shogi they were playing. He was just several steps ahead of his opponent.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Wed Apr 28, 2021 8:30 am
[justify]The clone took a rather strange angle of leap, leaping 35 meters into the air to travel a mere distance of 8 meters. The clone lept in a fashion where it ascended to the maximum 35 meter height at the half way point of 4 meters which meant it had to descend a further 34 meters towards the boulder that it had aimed for, the reason the descent was 34 not 35 was because of the 1 meter height of the boulder. This in turn resulted in a rather predictable angle of trajectory. Because of the speed at which the clone moved through the air, by the time it had ascended 22 meters, the smoke bomb had engulfed the 10 meter radius of the Akimichi, with the young man situated at the south west corner of the circle of smoke, 14 meters from the location of the boulder that the clone had aimed to descend upon. The Kunai rigged with the explosive tag getting ever closer to the eastern wall.

The Akimichi was conscious of the Kunai during his movement as he was moving at a faster pace to the Kunai. As a result, he waited, allowing the Kunai to move 2 meters outside of the range of the Akimichis direction of travel before advancing.

Making his way out of the smoke, the Akimichi couldn’t help but notice the shadow of his opponent elongated across the southern set of boulders. Afterall, the foe had travelled up to a height of 22 meters. Now back on his feet, his vision full restored, his hand sunk into his weapon pouch at top speed. Judging the foes trajectory, anticipating the impact of gravity and air resistance, he fished out a single Kunai rigged with an explosive tag, bound by 2cm of metal wire. Taking advantage of his semi-eidetic memory, the Akimichi mapped the angle of trajectory to the location of the boulder that was now situated inside of the Smoke Bombs area of effect. An so he threw the Kunai from the cover of the smoke towards the foes intended landing area. He didn’t throw it too early nor too late, rather he threw it exactly when the foe had no more or less than 9 meters left to descend, factoring in the 1 meter height of the boulder. With a speed of 157, the Kunai would arrive just as the foe touched down, aimed at the centre mass relative to the top of the boulder and the boys stature.

Upon arrival, it would erupt with the explosive tag quickly detonating within half a meter of the torse of the newly landed male. The explosion would expand 1 meter in every direction.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Wed Apr 28, 2021 3:55 pm
What was this? The clone seemed to have leapt higher than it was expecting to. 35 meters into the air, was it? Ah, no matter, as the clone realized it’s miscalculations of its own speed and strength for the leap it found that it possess the overhead view of the field. By the time it ascended 22 meters the smoke had engulfed 10 meters radius of the Akimichi as he intended. Clever, quite clever indeed. The clone would open its eyes as it exhaled the deep breath it took. Scanning over the ground below. Taking advantage of what it could see to its benefit. Keeping in mind that the spacing in meters between the two boulder groupings were indeed 5 meters apart, the original spacing between Tsuna and Gin was 10 meters. The boulder that was to the clone’s left, Gin’s right was 30 meters long, 15 meters wide and 10 meters tall. The one 5 meters apart from that one which was to the clone’s right, Gin’s left was 10 meters radius and 12 meters tall. That would have meant that both genin stood 3 meters from the boulder North of them. The smoke covered a good radius of the area when looking from above. Meaning the smoke even concealed where the clone was before it leapt. Meaning, even the space that the Akimichi aimed to use to see this ‘elongated shadow’ unless he had some means of seeing through the smoke screen, which even still would not benefit him. The gaps were all obscured by the smoke as stated when the clone reached 22 meters of ascended height. So that would include half of the ten meters radius and 12 meters tall boulder to their south. This, preventing the Akimichi from spotting what he thought he did for an advantage.

As the clone was descending to where it hopped to, pushed the max of its sensory from 5 meters to 10 meters radius it couldn’t help but to feel that something was off. Feeling that it was high up for some time it was more than enough time for its opponent to find his ground. Due to its route change it did not start its actions of attacks yet, thus giving it time to make some adjustments. With its right hand it formed a set of seals. The moment it descended 1 meter above the smoke it placed its middle and index finger to its forehead. At a speed of 85 from its core center space-time chakra would expand and coat it entirely and blinked it from existed for a mere instance. Judging and narrowing down what it the possible routes that it could see from the height that it was at it didn’t see the Genin leave over the boulder north of it, or moved west or east. Not even south. As it’s mind wind the gears. It thought out the possible routes of advantages. There was none in the open, certainly none moving west. Moving east would run the risk of crashing into the boulder positioned there next to the larger one and standing in the open south east of there would be foolish. Thus it determined that the Akimichi was most likely south west. Exactly where, was another question. However that was the point where the clone would manifest in a blink, outside of the smoke and coincidentally reappearing 3 meters and 1 foot south east of the Akimichi at a speed of 85.

Immediately it sensed him and instinctively found him with visual confirmation. From there it attacked. Scabbard in left hand, tucked to its side. Channeling chakra into the blade increasing sharpness and health by 20 making it 120 in both areas. At a speed of 110 it would draw its blade - as it did the blade made no sound as it was drawn. Perfect silence in its motion. The the sharpness was also increased another 20 making it 140 in sharpness. While infusing its chakra into the swing at an arc from left to right - at a speed of 70 and a sharpness of 110, 7 three inch thick and five meter wide waves of pressurized chakra rushed directly at Gin. One wave was .5 meters from the ground. Each wave was .5 meter above the other. If this connects the Akimichi would be met with sharpness of 110 that would be enough to cut him, while strong enough to shatter any weapons that he may aim to defend with, or clash. The clone would ready itself for what would come next. It’s aim was to be true, if the Akimichi was to move to face the clone he would find himself cornered within the gap of the boulder.

Tsuna decided to release his hold of the genjutsu, at which point he remained where he was, passively sensing around him.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Wed Apr 28, 2021 6:09 pm
The Akimichi found himself southwest of his previous location 10 meters from the location where he got blinded by the flash paper, as the smoke had fully expanded. “The smoke will fade soon.” He thought to himself as he expanded his sensory range to 10 meters. Not sensing anyones presence, he made his way out of the smoke now effectively 5 or so meters from the southern wall, located slightly in front of the very eastern small boulder. The Akimichi made his way through the small gap between the small and the main boulder, now on the southern side of the primary boulder with his sensory range at it’s maximum. He progressed the distance of 51 meters around the far side, the perimeter of the primary boulder, manoeuvring any obstacles in the process to arrive at the western side of the large boulder located on the southern side of the arena.

As the Akimichi arrived at his destination, the clone had travelled around 55 meters by this point, ascended the full 35 meters, before descending a further 20. The Akimichi peaked around his oversized boulder observing the free-falling shinobi. “What on earth is he doing?” he muttered as the boy continued to descend. As the boy neared the 10 meter height of the smoke, the Akimichi observed a series of one handed hand seals performed by the right hand in clear view of the Akimichi, the same hand was then raised to the boys head. “So he can do that too… interesting.” He thought as the boy vanished from sight.

“Strange.” He thought. Unbeknownst to the Akimichi, the clone had teleported 3 meters and 1 foot outside of the direct radius of the smoke, now situated dangerously close to the Akimichis previous location which was now around 20 meters away from a birds eye view but approximately 51 meters away if the perimeter of the boulder was to be followed from the Akimichis new location. The Akimichi lowered his sensory range back to 5 meters as he rolled his shoulders. His stomach rumbled.

As you timelined the clone to change his actions at 22 meters in the air, having him open his eyes despite them previously state to have been closed to avoid smoke irritation, I continued the timeline from that point.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Fri Apr 30, 2021 12:57 pm
Things were taking a tad bit longer than expected, or rather, than Tsuna would have liked. The moment the clone appeared it looked around for signs of the Akimichi to no avail. Within that moment it poof into a cloud of smoke. All that it learned returned to the mental of the original Tsuna. The boy processed it. Deeming his opponent to be quite clever. Finding that his clone may, or may not have revealed a few secrets in its presence on the field.

Tsuna felt that it was time to take things a bit more seriously. He got a feel of the Akimich from that exchange and what the clone gave him was enough to help him understand the mindset of the opponent a bit. Turning to face the west wall, Tsuna navigated his way along the side of the boulder - seeming hugging it as close as he was. He reached the end of the rock and noticed the Akimichi was at the other bother somewhat peaking.

Tsuna dashed from around the boulder he was behind at a speed of 110, 8 meters distance between him and Gin. Drawing Sloth’s Bane from his back it sung no song as it was drew. His rush was with expert weight, managing to close the distance with little to no sound as he did. When he was within 6 meters of the Akimichi he would reach into his pouch with his left hand, free hand, retrieving with care and swiftness 3 senbons and thrusting them all at once in Gins direction. At a speed of 110 and an impact force of 70. Minding the speed, he would reduce his to 100 as he closed in. The senbons were aimed for the ankle, the knee joint and the neck of Gin.

Once Tsuna was within 3 meters of his opponent he would break off into another direction - right - by 1 meter and then come to a stop. Reaching into his weapon pouch with his left once again he would watch and see his opponent’s actions, while maintaining his guard. His right hand held his blade in a sort of guard before his with the point of the blade angled to his left, slightly up.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Sun May 02, 2021 7:52 am
“What the hell?” The Akimichi thought to himself as the smoke now faded from the battlefield yet his foe appeared from behind the northern boulder despite being nowhere near it but a moment ago. It was a very strange situation but it appeared as if the young man was finally ready to fight the Akimichi on his terms.

There was a distinct shift in the battlefield, it was almost as if the Akimichi had calmed to a point to perfectly calculate the next course of action. His enemy was charging from an 8 meter distance, facing the Akimichi quite squarely, with the young man looking upon the Akimich quite intently. Acknowledging his presence, his sight narrowed. “Body Flicker derivative? Or was it a Space Time technique?” he thought to himself as his right hand dashed to the hilt of his crystal singing blade the instant the genin moved his hand towards the hilt of his own blade.

Naturally, the Akimichi drew his much quicker than the foe. He then raised the blade at 150 speed, aiming the tip at the foes centre of mass. By this point the foes weapon would have been just over a quarter of the way out of the hilt as it was strapped to his right shoulder while he drew the blade with his left hand which was previously by his side, this would have required a wider range of movement to unsheathe compared to the Akimichi who kept his right hand and arm by his side less than a quarter of a meter from his blade. In tandem with the Akimichi cutting the string to free the Crystal Singing Blade, he freed his left hand by slipping it through the handle of the Fuma Shuriken. The Fumas now resting on his wrist his hand flew through 4 handseals at incredible pace. As his left hand transitioned from the 3rd to the 4th handseal, a condensed ray of chakra mimicking the edge of the Crystal Singing Blade began making its way towards the boys centre of mass, expanding at the rate of 150 speed with a sharpness, and health of 150. As the 4th handseal was cast, the Hoshigakure Genin would find himself overcome with a sense of overwhelming fear that would freeze him in place, making him unable to move with around a quarter of the foes blade still in its sheath.

Both of the Genin were now locked into a state where neither of them could move but the condensed ray of chakra from the Crystal Singing Blade would continue on its trajectory striking the foes chest, ripping through skin, bone and organs upon impact with the aim of ripping directly into the young boys heart. The Akimichi aimed the sword with pinpoint precision, accounting for the boys movement relative to the sand under his feet and the terrain that the boy had to navigate through. As the condensed ray of chakra continued to expand to a maximum distance of 30 meters, the Akimichi prayed that a proctor would intervene as otherwise the Hoshigakure genin would become the first casualty of the Chuunin Exams.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Sun May 02, 2021 6:57 pm
The Akimichi impressively noticed the Hatake as he was approaching him from the northern boulder. As he did, the Akimichi’s right hand dashed to his blade, yes it was quicker than that of the Hatake, but speed being relative and not absolute, it wasn’t by much, at least not but the understanding that Gin might have hoped for. Tsuna took note of him raising his blade, at this time, Tsuna’s was already in his right hand, drew from his sheath, not his left, but what caught the boy by surprise was that Gin was aiming his blade at him in such a way that it seemed odd to him. Much like an archer lining their shot. At that same time, Tsuna’s left hand was free-flicked, and at a speed of 110, a smoke bomb appeared in his palm from his forearm underneath his sleeve.

Also noting that his opponent could use seals with one hand - as the third seal was a caster, the smoke bomb within his hand burst immediately submerging him in a dense cloud of smoke at point-blank, that expanded 10 meters in every direction at a speed of 55. But this time, the Akimichi was locked in his first sequence of his attack where the blade extended as it did towards Tsuna’s center of mass. It wasn’t much that he could do at this point as his actions were placed with such resolve. Though Tsuna could not see more than 2 meters before him, he could passively sense chakra 5 meters around him. The blade extended as a point of chakra that was easily detected as it entered 5 meters of the boy. Last Tsuna recalled, he knew where the point of his opponent’s blade was aimed. At a speed of 140, he dodged to the right by 3 meters - keeping in mind the placing of his opponent in the same fashion.

The second point of this counter was unbeknownst to Tsuna. He would have successfully countered the hit-scan effect of the Genjutsu binding that was aiming to be placed on him. The trigger was that Tsuna had to see his opponent for him to fall victim to its effects, but because the Smoke bomb was crushers at point-blank range, he did not have eyes on his opponent by the time the Gen was cast - right after the sacred spear glowed. Thus preventing him from falling for the paralysis that was to come. Tsuna was merely obscuring himself from Gin’s precision - like aim out of caution. The Akimichi would find that he wasted his chakra by using that Genjutsu.

From the smoke, the Hatake pushed his sensory to 10. There he would find his target still where he last was, picking up in a fluid motion from where he dodges the extended blade the boy would reach into his pouch at a speed of 110 to retrieve 3 senbons that he would throw in direction at Gin’s midsection, with precision to angle then around the chakra that was still coming from the blade in a downward triangle formation at a speed of 110 and an impact for of  70. These needles would not disturb the smoke as they were too thin to do so and moved at such rapid speeds. Tsuna was mindful of the chakra blade that was 3 meters to his left.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Tue May 04, 2021 4:09 am
The term point blank refers to a range that is very close to a target, in this case the smoke bomb was activated at point blank range of the Hoshigakure Genin, activated by the boys left palm that was situated by his left hip, thus in point blank, in very close proximity of the Genin, the rate at which the smoke advanced would be nowhere near fast enough to obscure the boys vision for the purpose of avoiding the Genjutsu trigger. This was primarily because the smoke bomb was only activated at the sight of the third handseal being cast, the Sacred Spear expanding, only 1 handseal remaining for the binding.

As the smoke bomb was activated, it began moving at a rate of 55 speed from the boys left palm out in every direction. It would be inconceivable that the smoke would be able to obstruct the Genins line of sight at a rate faster than the time it would take for the Akimichi to form the one last handseal at 150 speed, almost 3 times as fast as the Smoke Bombs expansion. And so with the trigger activated and the genin caught in the clutches of the Genjutsu, it mattered not that his body was being engulfed by his smoke bomb and his vision obstructed as with the trigger satisfied, the effects of the Genjutsu had already taken hold.

As the boy had aimed to use the cover of the smoke to evade, he was effectively stood still the moment the clock struck twelve and the Akimichi had formed the final handseal, catching him out with the Genjutsu Binding. The Hoshigakure Genins vision still very much fixed on the Akimichi at that point. With the Sacred Spear being released at the third handseal, the duo frozen but a moment later because of the Genjutsu Binding, the condensed ray of chakra from the sacred spear travelled directly towards the Genin, pushing past smoke and anything else in its path, ripping through the foes chest effortlessly upon contact.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Wed May 05, 2021 4:09 pm
Despite his efforts he wasn’t quick enough to deal with both the incoming blade of Gin, or his Genjutsu trigger that was unbeknownst to him. Tsuna found himself frozen as he could no longer do anything other than watch as the chakra blade expanded and pierced his very chest, more so to his right pec. The eyes of the boy would widen as he felt the cold, yet hot denationalized from the steel that protruded his very flesh. From his mouth he could feel the unwanted flow of blood build within. His eyes would gradually lower to find the blade that hue from his chest. “So, this is what it feels like to be on the opposite end of a blade? Terrifying.” He thought to himself in silence. Swallowing the blood that he had in his mouth. He received 117 damage from the impact force of that technique. It was a good one, he had to admit that much. The combination was effortless. Well set. He would smile.

As the tech reached its destination, Tsuna’s chest, it would retract from him back to the Akimichi at the same speed. Tsuna could feel the blade as it returned to the man. The blood that area was tender from the impact. He knew that he would have to be more cautious moving forward. The boy was now standing within a dense cloud of smoke, 7 meters from the Akimichi. 10 meters in every direction was covered, even Gin himself was now engulfed in this shroud.

The moment that the Akimichi would release his hold on Tsuna via the Genjutsu the boy would move to make his moves immediately. His left hand formed two seals and at a speed of 60 a 30 centimeters object appeared in his hand, before that his range of sensory fell to 5 meters. But after that it spiked back to 10. He could sense where Gin was accurately. Along with the object one wire formed from two tethered to it and his hand. Tsuna infused the object with his chakra. The Hatake would then flick the weapon into a full opening as four blades revealed themself a foot each in every direction expertly without harming himself or the wire obviously. The sharpness and health of this weapon was then increased to 110. Suddenly the boy would fling the large projectile in Gin’s direction, a half a foot to his left of his body center at a speed of 110. He could sense where the Genin was and would direct the fuma shuriken as needed if the man moved. Should he not, the impact force would be 70 and the weapon would protrude into his left side and arm.

With his blade in his right hand, Tsuna would prepare for a moments noticed counter if there was one, using the smoke as his cover.

Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi - Page 2 Empty Re: Chuunin Exams: Round 3 - Gin vs Tsunayoshi

Thu May 06, 2021 5:43 pm
With an audible crunch, the Akimichi felt the blade react in his hand at the point of impact. His aim ever so slightly off the boys centre of mass, “A miscalculation perhaps.” He thought to himself, a gap formed in the smoke one meter to either side of the Hoshigakure Genin which allowed the Akimichi to observe the boys reaction to the attack. The gap in the smoke caused by the impact from the Sacred Spear. Naturally it wouldn’t take too long for the gap to be filled with smoke again with the 2 meters being filled with the ever-expanding smoke at a rate of 55 speed.

They were both still very much in a frozen state, the condensed ray of Chakra ripped through the boys right pec. The boys eyes widening quite reactively to the impact. As opposed to retracting upon impact, the blade continued to expand, slicing straight through the boys third rib before puncturing his right lung, the blade continued to pierce through rear of the young Hoshigakure Genin, effectively putting a hole through his body.

Third rib, split, front and rear of the right lung pierced, rear third rib pierced with a near surgical exit on the far side of the Hoshigakure genin. The blade didn’t retract at this point either though. There was 8 meters between the Akimichi and the Hoshigakure Genin. The Akimichi had already gauged his foes speed relative to his own. His sight fixed on his foe as the Sacred Spear continued to expand for a further 7 meters, the instant the expansion had reached a total distance of 15 meters, the Akimichi released his Genjutsu binding, flicking the wrist armed with the Crystal Singing Blade at 150. This motion aimed to cut through the right pectoral, in the direction of the boys heart which was only a few inches away. The Sacred Spear would cut through the heart end to end and continue to move all the way through the boys torse effectively cutting through his heart and the remainder of his chest. There was around a 7 centimetre distance between the blade and the initial point of the heart, which equates to a distance of around 0.07 meters that would be required for the sword to travel.

Even if the Hoshigakure genin moved at top speed with the movement of the Sacred Spear for the remainder 15 meters that it was set to expand, it would still be able to travel a further 0.2 meters through the boys body.

The Hoshigakure genin had only a few moments to react to the 150 sharpness and health of the Sacred Spear that had begun its trajectory towards the boys heart. This time, the condensed ray of chakra wasn’t about to miss. The extension of the Crystal Singing Blade meant that if the boy was unable to react appropriately that his heart would be split in two by the rapidly advancing condensed ray of chakra.

Unfortunately, at this point the smoke bomb had once again filled the 2 meter gap that was created by the initial impact of the Sacred Spear. However, the Hoshigakure genin was in a position where any manoeuvre he made with the Sacred Spear still embedded in him would only result in further damage to his body.

With regards to the smoke, it had only expanded up to 6 meters in radius, relative to the speed at which the Sacred Spear had expanded. With the young mans actions after the release of the Genjutsu being very much contingent on the 10 meter coverage of the Smoke by the time he would decide to retrieve the Fuma Shuriken, his heart would be very much split in two.
