Desert Shenanigans (Travel to Suna)

Blistering heat bore down on a Barren desert, the creatures that remained here hardened by the trials of the heat. In the distance through the mileage of sand dunes, a lone warrior made his way through the desert. His body, honed through battle and violence, and his destination was the village of suna.

The warrior, Raian, then stopped dead in his tracks letting out a loud sigh. "Man! This is a real pain in my ass! Feels like I've been at it for days now." The man spoke as if he were a child throwing a temper tantrum. Not exactly, mature, but he didn't exactly care about all that stuff either. In fact, at this point he was just tired of being stuck walking through a god forsaken desert. Raian had no choice but to keep moving forward however, pushing on through the heat as fast as he could, the shifting sands beneath him making it difficult to keep a high rate of speed at constant.

A few more moments later however a loud growl startled Raian, causing him to stop dead on his tracks. At that moment the growl came again this time much louder. In response Raian gave his stomach a couple good slaps. "Is that me? Well, wouldn't be surprised I'm starving!" Raian said laughing at which point in time a large centipede like creature burst up from the ground behind him. It had to be ten meters or so in length with wide sharp mandibles as it reared up over Raian. He pushed himself to his feet as fast he could, preparing for the beast to strike. "Guess that wasn't my stomach afterall."

As Raian finished speaking the creature attempted to strike, lunging forward with it's jaws and missing Raian by inches as he rolled out of the way. As the creature hit the sand, it immediately burrowed into it disappearing beneath the shifting dunes. Raian stood in a lowered stance, quickly shifting his vision to different directions. To the north he finally spotted it moving towards him, a trail left behind as it traveled beneath the earth, it was barely noticeable amongst the surroundings. As it drew closer, Raian baited it's approach allowing it to spring forth from the ground before he dodged at the last second landing on it's back. Raian the focused intently on his right arm, the skin from the elbow down darkened, his hand shifting into what looked like broad bladed sword. "Been wanting to try this little tricky out for awhile!" Raian roared as he slammed his right arm, now sword, down into the creatures back severing it in half and sending he and the creature tumbling through the sand.

Raian forced his way up from the sand, spitting out a large mouthful with disgust. As he got to his feet he shook violently, dislodging sand from his hair, his clothing, and anywhere else it was stuck at. The top half of the creature had apparently fled as by the time Raian found the bottom half it was gone. Raian attempted to lift the bottom half of the insect but it was too heavy to get over his head so he resorted to dragging it. "Man I'm still STARVING!" Raian stated again as he dragged the large insect body off to be made into dinner before continuing on to suna.
