Hinoki was slightly amused at Haru’s display. He had lost a good too many naps to practice these two Jutsu to perfection and Haru’s clones paled in comparison to his. It felt good to finally succeed at something so well. “I guess that’s why Tsubaki is always pushing to the limit. Bah! it’s still not worth the lost naps” he thought to himself as he got up and began walking slowly towards Ren as she began addressing him. He leaned against the wall, listening with a grin on his face.

He grabbed the headband out of the air, nearly slipping out of his hands. His palms where sweaty. Too visually sweaty for a guy in such loose clothing. Guess the excitement was getting to him albeit he did his best to keep his cool."Unfortunately for you Sensei, I can assure you I will be back for the Genin Training.” He beckoned at Ren. “The others, maybe not.” he said as he grinned at Haru. He slid the headband down his pocket. He will wear it when he its done, when he can finally be called a Shinobi. Only the easy part of the test over. As he was going to walk out of the class room, he noticed the Jutsu on the black board. “Well, those are just too easy. In fact… I have just the right thing in my pocket” He said before Ren even finished writing. Taking another crumpled up piece of paper, he set it down on the nearest desk and gave it a quick look. He hadn’t practiced this as hard as the clone Jutsu as it was far simpler but he did manage to bring it down to not even needing hand signs. Taking out a Wasabi seed, He threw it at Shi’s impaled figure and with a puff, He was at his side; “Sucks to be you, I guess Shi. In less than an hour’s time I’ll be sleeping and well, you will be doing who knows what with Sensei. Life is just not fair” he said, in a mocking voice.

Looking back at the blackboard, He noticed that Ren was writing another Jutsu that he happened to have been thought. It was becoming a really good day. He knelt down and took an out another piece of crumbled paper and flattened on the ground. “Unlike lucky you, we try to take care to not get cut or stabbed” he continued mocking him “So we use this technique." Do not fret, I’m not going to hurt you.” he continued mocking as he starts doing the “Boar -> Rat -> Snake” seals and applying the Jutsu to some minute scratch Shi made while playing the knife game. “I'm guessing that’s en-“. His words where cut off as he heard Ren’s last words and shock replaced his cocky grin “One on one training? Guess that’s no naps for today” he tough to himself. “See you after the Exams Then Sensei. Or will you still be busy?” he said, giving a nod toward Shi as he started making his way out. This is why he never shows off. Karma’s a bitch.

Haru allowed the head band to follow its arc towards him and caught it lightly just above his head with both hands. He stuffed it into one of the pockets lining his coat before studying the board for a few seconds in order to memorize the seals and the method for using the medical ninjutsu. haru didn't look forward to a week of practicing medical ninjutsu, his mother had tried to teach him a little but he never had any aptitude or particular interest in that specialty. He hoped that having been set a deadline he could pressure himself into passing the next class, though it would certainly help cultivate his less competitive image. He could already use the substitution technique successfully on most occasions but decided he should practice more on substituting with smaller objects whilst in motion. A one on one lesson was not an opportunity he would let slip through his fingers. Haru often trained the substitution technique a few times a week during his morning training sessions. before his father left they would train together by throwing rocks, moving up to more dangerous objects until eventually they would throw shuriken and kunai at each other. Haru still had a few small scars in his shoulders and arms that were proof of his training. After haru began training alone he improvised by curving the weighted chain around a training post ensuring that  it would head straight back at him. Eventually he set up a series of sharp rocks suspended from tree branches that when struck would approach him from random directions. haru would test his ability to dodge and perform substitution with a nearby log he left within 5 meters for the practice. The high stress method proved effective and the amount of times he failed in the last 8 months had virtually been reduced to zero.

He walked past the commotion around Shi but he could still hear Hinoki's voice as he moved down the corridor towards the examination room. As he walked he began stretching his arms and legs and quickly checked his ninja tools were in there proper place. Outside the room he stopped and concealed the weighted end of his chain into his baggy sleeve so he could use it without having to make any large overt movements and perhaps catch his opponent by surprise. Haru allowed his senses to extend to their full strength and focused switched his focus into hunting mode before stalking into the examination room.
