Maku laughed at Ryuu's actions.  It was a pretty......sharp maneuver.  Anyway, as they walked to the gates, Maku turned to look at what remained of the village.  Not really much was left except for the gates themselves and then the cave that led to the outside world.  Though now that the tree was gone, it was far from hidden. 
 
Forming two handseals, he summoned a swamp that would suck in the remaining buildings, and anyone who was attempting to rush past.  All in all, the village was completely leveled and destroyed.  Not a building remained intact except the one that Ryuu had turned into his own easy bake oven.  
 
"Well, I think I am going to take the long way home.  However, for you I'll let you take the express route."  Forming the seal of confrontation a golden bubble would encircle them.  "O and do be sure not to touch anything in the lab while you are there.  If a priest comes in, just tell him Maku sent you....."  With that the bubble would collapse, but instead of sending Maku with it, he merely sent Ryuu.  He would teleport him to one of the bed chambers inside Youka's hideout.  Maku intended to travel there as well, however the long way was better. 
 
He needed the fresh air anyway.  With that, he walked through the gates and into the cave.  Once he had exited on the other side, just for good measure he caused the cave to collapse with a variety of jutsu.  He was feeling rather unimaginative now, so it was best to just keep things simple.  With that, he entered the jungle and was on his way.

A souvenir, yes, that was what he needed. Following Maku lazily Ryuu stooped down to grab the ankle of a deceased villager, Kyte by name. Dragging the body irreverently behind him leaving a slight blood trail, shame. All the same he walked evenly behind the odd 'villager leader'/ missing ninja/ hot bod. The former jounin was not altogether sure what. For now though, he turned back to the village as it sank beneath the depths of mud that Maku summoned. Well, that was that. Save for a vast field of mud, nothing much would remain of Takigakure. Then, like that, he was warping through time and space to god knows where along with the dead body in hand. Such was the life of a missing ninja.
