Morning! (P, NK)

A boy, nearly 15, rolled over in his bed. Dawn light shifted through the opening in his curtains and the sun slowly rose into the sky. The boy rose from his slumber and began to dress. He was about 6'1" and fairly slim, with dark brown hair and bright gold eyes. And this boy, the thing that made him peculiar, was the scar that covered almost half of the left side of his face. This boy's name was Zuko Abata.
 
It had been about two months since the accident which killed their parents and gave Zuko his scar, which was still healing a bit. Zuko and how two younger brothers had been hit pretty hard, but they were slowly healing. Zuko never dwelled on the death, though. At least as it appeared to others, that is. He didn't have time to dwell. since the accident, Zuko had taken od the responsibilities of being the adult of the family. He wasn't aloud to be a little kid anymore.
 
Zuko rose out of his bed and slowly strode over to the closet. He grabbed just some old outfit and put it on. Then her turned and exited the room. As he walked down the hall of their small, yet cozy apartment, he could hear the sounds of his little brothers' snores coming from two of the rooms. Zuko was always up first; He rose with the sun, while his brother's slept later into the day.
 
Zuko tiptoed to the doors of their rooms and gently opened them. He peered inside the rooms and checked that everything was in order and that both his brothers were safe. Zuko did this every morning.
 
After confirming all was is place, he softly closed the doors and walked down the stairs. He put breakfast on while he waited for his siblings to awaken. Today he decided to make everyone's favorite foods for breakfast. There was fish for Sokka, Egg Custard Tarts for Aang, and Kamameshi for himself. Soda to drink today.

 
Zuko's brothers were Sokka and Aang. Sokka was the second oldest of the bunch, at age 14 with a birthday in just a few days. Aang was the youngest, at 13, and Zuko was oldest, being 15 with a birthday three days after Sokka's.

Sokka Creaked open his door and looked down...His brother zuko had fish served..oh fish, so delicious, the taste of meat upon his teeth would be so amazing, it would shatter all other things. so with that. Sokka stood up, Dashed forward, Tripped down the stairs. With a Owww...Sokka then dashed for the fist, Tripping on a wet spot on the floor. And with a raise of his finger, he spoke "Fishy?"

The light from his window shone onto his eyelids as he groaned. Aang always did hate waking up early, sleeping in was the only reason he was to cheery and full of energy later on in the day. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and got up from his bed. Then he walked over to his bedroom door and looked into the kitchen. Seemed like Sokka tripped... again, and Zuko was serving favorites this morning. Aang took a quick sniff of the air and almost drooled. 'Mmm, definitely egg custard tart!' He thought as we dashed from his room, down the stairs, and to a seat at the table.

Zuko watched as Sokka tumbled down the stairs, and Aang walked gracefully down. Oh, brother...Er, brothers... He thought, rolling his eyes. "Get off the floor, Sokka," he said, walking over to help him up. "Morning, you two. And yeah, 'fishy'."

As sokka lay upon the ground with his head he spoke "What if i think the floor is just peaaachy, huh?" Adding the greatest ammount of sarcasm that will ever be seen. "Mmmm..The smell of a clean floor" As he poked at it, Obviously the floor was not clean, and probably had a CRAP TON of diseases. since it used to be white and could be considered gray now. Sokka did get up to grab the plate, or the Fish in particular and nibble on it as he lay.

Aang watched as Sokka poked the floor. "I don't think you should do that, it's unsanitary." He said chuckling. "And good morning to you too Zuko". Looking around the table he spotted an egg custard tart and immediately put it on his plate. 'This looks delicious!' The boy thought, 'But I still need to get a drink with it.' He then grabbed some soda to pour into his glass. As he went back to sit in his seat he already drank most of it off. "So is there some special even today, or something? You don't make favorites that much" Aang asked.

Zuko, getting tired of the little game, just reached over and grabbed a hold of the back of Sokka's shirt. He lifted his brother up and stuck him in his seat, and then sat down himself. "I said get off the floor," he said. "There's nothing special, Aang. I just though, y'know. We all deserve it right now," he said, picking a bite of his Kamameshi and popping it in his mouth.

Sokka gave a 'Im sorry floor' For he had now felt a connection to said floor, like they were meant to be together, sokka wanted to eat on the floor..so badly, and while in his halucinnations..from hitting his head twice, he had begun to see the floor move. and with it, the floor had spoken "Sokka! I am the almighty floor spirit!...Lick me and gain the magical powers of E-TETNUS, AND COLI." Sokka would reply with "Floor spirit!" Which came out as a large yell, as sokka stood up he layed on the floor and licked it once....Luckily sokka had finished all his fish by this time. as all that remained was a skeletal remains. Upon licking said floor, Sokka realized his mistake "YOU LIED FLOOR." And with that he dashed upstairs, a large ammount of green on his face.

Aang almost fell out of his chair from laughing so hard. "Man! The things Sokka does never get's old!" He said in between laughs. Turning back to his breakfast, he quickly engulfed it leaving only the plate. The boy then put his dish and cup in the sink. "Well, I really appreciate you doing this for us Zuko!" He said with a smile. "I better go get dressed, don't wanna walk around in my pajamas all day!" Then Aang walked up the stairs as well.

"... No problem, Aang..." Zuko said, rolling his eyes at Sokka's antics. He quickly finished his plate and did the dishes, as he did everyday. Having already dressed, he decided to just lounge around on the couch for a while, lest one of his brothers suggest a spar.
