The Fox and The Raven (Navi vs. Echo)

Echo flies straight over the gates of Konoha and utilizing a spiralling drill of fuuton chakra blasts right through the roof of the Kage building landing upon his feet in front of the Hokage's desk.
All of his gear is once again present as he's come straight from Kumogakure after a bit of a reprieve.
He raises his right hand in greeting with a casual "Yo." He states his eyes hidden by his goggles which defend his eyes from the G-force and high powered winds his grin present before he slides his hands into the pockets of his jeans standing five feet from the desk which is eight feet from Navi himself if he is indeed present.

At present Navi was simply sitting in his chair with his feet up, finished with work for the time being and simply relaxing. His activated dojutsu gaze would give him a slight notification of Echo's impending presence. While his ANBU were startled for a moment, Navi was already in mid-toss of throwing a soda at the spot where Echo would precisely land. In the same moment he had opened one for himself taking a sip upon hearing the casual "Yo."

"Yo," he said after another sip, taking a moment to swallow and enjoy the cool liquid. 

"Where have you been?" he asks in a friendly tone, always trying to keep aware of Echo's many strange and random pursuits.

Wind circles the can of soda lifting it to Echo's side, he chuckles and shrugs his shoulders "Kumo's got a new Raikage...Kurisu's daughter, she enlisted my help in hunting down a traitor within her ranks." He states calmly his left hand sliding from his pocket his fingers curling around the can of soda as he leans back the wind chakra raising him up as he seems to recline upon thin air his right hands fingertips, slightly clawed from the effect of his gear pops open the soda before he takes a small refined sip.

He chuckles "Otherwise, I've been lots of places since the summit, I even punched some random Sky ninja in the face and tossed his air-board like two miles into a dense forest..." He states looking a bit weirded out by this fact, the Kyuubi's influence is becoming more troublesome as of late...
At this thought the Kyuubi merely chuckles and Echo's lips turn downwards into a scowl, his frame visibly tensing in anger the can crinkling slightly as he tries to reign himself in with a calming deep breath..

"Interesting development, she must have just recently taken the reigns of Raikage." 

It was slightly surprising to Navi to hear that Kurisu had stepped down from the position. They had held the summit not too long ago, so it must have been almost immediately following. 

After a short laugh Echo would transition into a slightly different place. 

"There is no more Sky Nation, you were at the summit when I effectively declared all nations under Konoha's banner. All ninja are members of the Fire Nation unless they are rogues or criminals. Do not attack our military Echo, they are Fire Nation ninja and we must protect them."

His voice becomes somewhat stern with a slight hint of authority in it, a tone he rarely uses around the man. In truth he himself had several encounters with sky ninja in the past war, almost all of them ending in the death of the unfortunate ones who crossed his path. Despite this history, Navi had learned to accept them as ninja under his jurisdiction now. They were no longer the enemy, and he treated them as he would any member of his own nation. 

Calmness was a trait that he had a bit of a firmer grasp on however. Echo seemed to struggle slightly with immense pent up anger, likely due to the intense influence of the Kyuubi within him. The dangerous beast had caused a tragedy in the Fire Nation before, but under Navi's reign he would not allow it to happen again. His cold gaze eyed Echo for a moment, a slightly uncomfortable shift in the conversation setting.

Echo's eyes narrow slightly his eyebrow raising at the tone the Yamaki has chosen to use with him his eyes tinging crimson and slitting behind the goggles "The shinobi of this 'Fire Nation' are weak fools, barely even worthy of the rank of Genin, just like a certain boy is seeming to forget who helped found the Konoha he now rules over." He states the can of soda floating away as wind whips up slightly in response to Echo's aggravation.
The Kyuubi's whispers in his ears and some malice from the beast cause a smirk to spread across his defined face revealing sharpened canines..thoughts of bringing pain upon all who deem it necessary to challenge him being filtered through his mind.

Before the red fades and his jaw clenches hidden behind his lips which lose their smirk, becoming an emotionless mask despite the tenseness in his frame as he once again mentally does battle with the Kyuubi's influence attempting to dominate his mind...

BURN!!! MAIM!!! KILL!!!

'SILENCE WRETCHED BEAST!!!' Echo shouts mentally his own power slamming against the Kyuubi's tossing it back into the recesses of it's cage Echo's own chakra swirling throughout his frame the wind stilling as Echo suddenly lands on the floor upon his rear end, reacting instantly to his drop he crosses his legs underneath him and grins to make it seem like he meant to do that....This is becoming more and more of a problem, either he tames the beast or he walks into Asgard and has Viper extract and possibly destroy it...

Navi's eyes narrow slightly but his face remains nearly unchanged at the insult that Echo launches at him. For a moment he feels like retorting, but decides against it when he takes a look closer. His eyes detect unstable surges of chakra within Echo, a sort of mental battle happening within him. It is difficult to tell and analyze exactly what was happening, and for a moment he watches in silence. 

Suddenly a flash of chakra erupted within the man, a sight only visible to his eyes. Echo began to physically fall, his quick reflexes helping to stabilize himself at the last second. 

"It's happening again"  

The Nanabi's voice gently stirs in his head. Suddenly his eyes recognize the familiar chakra pattern, the same eruptions in activity that were occurring during the incident in the Sand Village

Navi stands from his chair now, his eyes flickering and studying the man closely. His expression becoming serious and his fists clenching together. The Demon and Echo seemed to be having a war inside his body, one that was influencing his thoughts and likely his actions. 

"If you cannot overtake the demon, then I will remove it."

Echo's grin vanishes instantly the rage returning instantly the wind rising himself up to his feet at an intense speed and he raises himself to his full height "Insolent welp!" He snarls his fangs and claws returning instantly "How dare you insinuate the beast holds sway over me!" His left foot slides backwards at a forty five degree angle and his frame hunches slightly his hair splitting at the ends as black lines draw themselves across his cheeks like scars and his eyes slit and gleam red before the sharingan activates involuntarily his hands are loose at his sides...but the stance is recognizable...Kitsune-Kumite..the Taijutsu form Echo developed himself.

"Insinuate the beast has sway over you? Look at yourself in the mirror."

Navi's cold professionalism begins to break a little here, possibly at the presence of such a powerful adversary, or maybe it was just something about Echo himself. The Uchiha's appearance had changed dramatically, a fuse between his human and demon form beginning to manifest itself. 

The man's chakra begins to focus and build slightly, a thin film of energy surrounding him. 

"Viper might have let you get away with a massacre, but I won't. Control your beast."

Navi flicks the wrist of his right hand, a hellfire kunai blurring into his grasp. A glowing aura of elemental chakra surrounds it. Outfitted with a small chakra dot on its handle, and a combination of fire, lightning and wind chakra which glow and extend the edges of the deadly blade. 

"...or I will control it for you."

Echo's snarl turns into a feral smirk at the boys words a deep chuckle escaping him....he continues his head tilting downwards his bangs obscuring the red gleam underneath his goggles..
He suddenly draws his head back his maw filled with the razor sharp fangs opened wide in a deep guttural laugh his frame quaking with his loud mirth.
He breathes in and his gaze turns back to the Hokage and he scoffs "You think you can actually take me? You got the speed that's true, but you don't have even half the power I posses...it won't end well for you brat." He states his grin returning a feral mockery of the good natured teasing joke that used to grace his face...this grin is bloodthirsty.

Navi smiles gently after Echo's words, the soft smirk beginning at the corner of his mouth as a surge of warm adrenaline and endorphins begins to flow through his veins. The kunai spins easily around his fingers and fits neatly in his grasp. Finally an opportunity to get out from behind the desk. The thrill of combat excited him, the thin aura of chakra growing slightly to a thick plume of energy. 

His bored expression had entirely faded away, replaced with his keen senses forged from experience in the Black Ops. The calm demeanor that he usually concealed himself behind was dropped, exhibiting a dark grin and an addiction to violence. 

"This is going to end two ways, with you calming down, or me ripping the Kyuubi out of your lifeless corpse."
