An underbuilt and over-advertised emporium, Gato’s Ninja Shop is the place to go if one needs to stock up on gear for the next mission. Owned by the eccentric yet kind Mai Gato, the shop is kept as clean as can be imagined under her watchful eye.

Residential District
Here one can find the homes of everyday civilians and farmers. Small restaurants, stores, and inns also dot this smattering of humanity, giving the appearance of a poorly planned compound dominated by a large number of thatched roofs and simple architecture. The vast majority of Tanbogakure's populace calls this district home.

Military District
Separated from the residential district by wooden stockades, the military district plays host to a carefully constructed row of barracks which are artfully stuccoed and fastidiously shingled. From atop a few wooden towers that bolster the stockades, lookouts can see down into the residential district and out onto the southern flat stretch of rice paddies below, ready to alert the townsfolk of an impending raid with the ring of a bell.

Okada Castle
Ensconced at the back of the military district and overlooking the sea is Okada Castle. The castle’s strong stone base rises up into a multi-tiered structure accented by elegantly sloped eaves and white plaster brightened by splashes of a cedar red here and there. Atop the castle sits a beacon meant to ward sailors off the treacherous cliffs below. It is also here, in this decidedly out-of-place fortress, that one can find the Komekage’s office and residence.

Taika's Tea and Bathhouse
A small establishment in the residential district, Taika’s Tea and Bathhouse is the relaxation destination of the village. Run by the kindly couple, Kaien and Nazumi Taika, one can typically find a hot cup of tea—or perhaps something stronger—and a warm bath to while away a sleepy evening or lazy morning here.
