The Long Departed [Mission - C] [P] Empty The Long Departed [Mission - C] [P]

Sun Jul 16, 2023 9:59 am

"Chizuru, wake up." Moka jolted awake at her grandma's voice echoing through the house. The familiar sound of her dog Wildfire's barking added to the commotion.

She sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes, and a smile spread across her face. Her grandmother's wake-up calls were always energetic and accompanied by the familiar sound of her loyal companion, Wildfire.

Jumping out of bed, Moka quickly dressed, slipping into her Inuzuka clan attire. She could hear the sound of Wildfire's excited barks growing louder, indicating that he was already in the hallway, eagerly awaiting her arrival.

With a burst of energy, Moka dashed through the house, following the sound of her grandmother's voice. She rounded the corner, and there stood her grandmother, a seasoned Inuzuka clan member with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Good morning, Grandma!" Moka greeted her with a wide grin.

"Good morning, little wolf," her grandmother replied, using the affectionate nickname she had given Moka when she was young. "Are you ready for some missions today?"

Moka's eyes lit up with excitement. Training with her grandmother was always an adventure. She loved learning the Inuzuka clan's unique fighting style and honing her skills alongside Wildfire, her trusted partner and best friend.

"Grandma!" Moka replied eagerly. "I'm always ready for the mission. Wildfire and I have been practicing our teamwork. We're getting better every day!"

Her grandmother's face broke into a proud smile. "That's what I like to hear, Moka. The bond between shinobi and their animal companion is one of the most powerful connections in our clan. However, this particular mission you have to undertake alone, wildfire will stay here and keep company to these old bones of mine." Her dog had perished years ago, the legendary Chiko. The last one in a long line of Inuzuka Canines; perhaps her grandma needed the company. Moka did not argue and gave a nod. "Go to the Kage office, take the mission for you there, and show them how far you've come."

Moka walked through the streets of Konoha, observing the signs of both the past and the present. The scars of the war with Kirigakure were still visible in the form of damaged buildings and remnants of battle. But alongside those reminders, signs of hope and resilience were evident as the village worked towards rebuilding and recovery.

Under the leadership of Aokidanza, Konoha had experienced significant victories in the west against Suna and the south against the village of the volcano. The new leaders had shown great strategic prowess and had brought stability and security to the village. Moka couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and gratitude towards these leaders who had worked tirelessly to protect and rebuild their homes.

As she walked past the bustling market, Moka noticed the villagers' renewed energy and optimism. The once somber atmosphere was now infused with determination and a spirit of rebuilding. Shops were reopening, people were engaging in commerce, and children played in the streets with a newfound sense of freedom.

Moka understood that the road to complete recovery would be long and challenging. Some wounds would take time to heal, both physically and emotionally. But with Aokidanza's leadership, the village had found renewed hope and direction. The victories against Suna and the village of the volcano had bolstered their confidence and united the villagers in their efforts.

As she continued her walk, Moka couldn't help but feel a surge of optimism for the future of Konoha. She believed in the resilience of her village and its people. She knew that with strong leadership, determination, and the support of its shinobi, Konoha would rise again, stronger than ever.

Moka herself was filled with a renewed sense of purpose. She was determined to contribute to the village's rebuilding efforts as a shinobi and community member. She would train harder, push herself further, and use her skills to protect and serve Konoha. With each step she took, Moka felt a deep connection to the spirit of her village. The war and its aftermath left scars but reminded the village of strength and resilience. Konoha was rebuilding, and Moka was ready to play her part in shaping its future.

Moka walked towards the Hokage's office. She had a newfound determination burning within her, and she was ready to share her ideas and contribute to the rebuilding efforts in any way she could. Konoha may have been scared, but it was far from defeated. Together, they would rise from the ashes and create a brighter future.

Moka's eyes lit up as she read the mission description. Honoring the fallen shinobi and paying her respects to her ancestors resonated deeply with her. It was a task that went beyond the usual missions of combat and espionage. This mission held a special meaning, and Moka was determined to carry it out with the utmost care and reverence.

Excitement coursing through her veins, Moka quickly signed up for the mission. She gathered her gear, ensuring she had everything she needed for the task ahead. With her kunai strapped to her thigh and her backpack slung over her shoulder, she set off toward the Shinobi Burial grounds.

As Moka walked through the gates of the burial grounds, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and solemnity. The atmosphere was peaceful, with a gentle breeze rustling the leaves of the surrounding trees. The tombstones stood in neat rows, each a testament to the sacrifices made by those who had come before her.

Moka made her way to the older section of the burial grounds, where the tombstones had weathered with time. She knelt beside the first row, taking a moment to read the names engraved on each stone. She felt a deep connection to these fallen heroes, knowing their actions paved the way for her and others to live in a better world.

With great care, Moka began cleaning and polishing each tombstone. She wiped away the dirt and debris, revealing the beautiful inscriptions and symbols carved into the stone. As she worked, she whispered gratitude and respect to each fallen shinobi, expressing her appreciation for their sacrifices and bravery.

The time she seemed to stand still as Moka moved from one tombstone to the next, lost in her thoughts and reflections. She thought about the stories she had heard of the legendary shinobi who had defended the village and protected its people. She thought about the lessons they had passed down through the generations, guiding and inspiring young ninjas like herself.

As the sun set, glowing warmly over the burial grounds, Moka stood back to admire her work. The tombstones sparkled in the fading light, a testament to her dedication and the importance she placed on this mission. She bowed her head in a final show of respect before turning to leave.

It was a particular tombstone that caught her eye. A small miniature dog made of rock was sculped and left on top of it. The name on the tombstone was covered by dust. But Moka did not need to see it to remember. She wiped the dust off with a small hand.

Moka's heart skipped a beat as she uncovered her parents' names, Kaede and Tamashi Inuzuka. A wave of emotions washed over her, a mix of sorrow, love, and longing. She remembered their warm smiles and the love they had shown her during her early childhood.

With trembling hands, Moka gently touched the miniature dog sculpture left on top of the tombstone. It symbolized their shared bond as members of the Inuzuka clan, known for their deep connection with canines. The intricate details of the rock sculpture reminded her of the days she spent playing with her parents and their loyal canine partners.

Tears welled up in Moka's eyes as she whispered their names, feeling an overwhelming sense of loss and the void their absence had left in her life. But amidst the pain, she also felt a renewed determination to make them proud and carry on their legacy.

With a deep breath, Moka vowed to become the best shinobi she could be, to honor her parents' memory through her actions and achievements. She promised herself that she would become a worthy successor to the Inuzuka name and uphold the values they had instilled in her.

As she stood there, surrounded by the quiet stillness of the burial grounds, Moka silently made a promise to her parents. She vowed to live a life filled with courage, loyalty, and strength, just as they had exemplified. Their names would forever be etched in her heart, and their spirits would guide her.

With a final touch to the tombstone, Moka whispered her farewell and turned to leave, carrying her parents' memory with her. She knew they would watch over her, protecting her as she ventured forward.

The weight of her parents' absence would always be with her, but so too would their love and the lessons they had taught her. And with their spirits by her side, Moka felt renewed purpose and determination to make a difference in the world.

As she walked away from the tombstone, Moka carried her parents' legacy, ready to face the challenges that awaited her. Their names may be engraved in stone, but their spirit lived on through her, and she would honor them with every step she took.

Moka returned home to her grandmother after completing the mission at the Shinobi Burial grounds. The weight of the experience lingered in her heart, but she also felt a sense of fulfillment and connection to her ancestors. As she entered the house, Moka found her grandmother sitting at the kitchen table, a warm cup of tea in her hands. Wildfire, ever by her side, wagged his tail happily upon Moka's arrival.

Her grandmother looked up and smiled, a knowing expression in her eyes. "I can see in your face that the mission touched your heart, little wolf," she said softly.

Moka nodded, unable to hide the mix of emotions coursing through her. "It was a powerful experience, Grandma," she replied. "Cleaning and honoring the tombstones of our fallen ancestors made me feel connected to our Inuzuka lineage and to my parents."

Her grandmother set down her tea and gestured for Moka to sit beside her. "Your parents would be proud of the shinobi you are becoming, Moka," she said, her voice filled with love and warmth. "They are always with us, guiding us from the spirit realm. Never forget that."

Tears welled up in Moka's eyes, and she nodded, a lump forming in her throat. "I won't forget, Grandma," she whispered. "I will carry their legacy in my heart and strive to make them proud."

Her grandmother reached out and placed a comforting hand on Moka's shoulder. "I know you will, my dear," she said, her voice filled with pride. "You have the strength and determination of the Inuzuka clan running through your veins. I do not doubt that you will accomplish great things."

Moka took a deep breath, finding solace in her grandmother's words. She knew she had a long journey ahead of her, filled with challenges and triumphs. But with her ancestors' spirits guiding her and her grandmother's wisdom to lean on, she felt ready to face whatever came her way.

As she sat there, surrounded by the love and support of her family, Moka felt a renewed sense of purpose and commitment. She would continue to train, grow stronger, and honor her Inuzuka lineage with each step she took as a shinobi of Konoha.

The journey ahead would not be easy, but Moka was determined to make a difference in the world and carry her parents' memories and teachings. With her grandmother's guidance and Wildfire, she knew she had all the support she needed to face whatever challenges awaited her.

As the evening sun painted the sky with hues of orange and gold, Moka leaned into her grandmother's embrace, finding comfort and strength in their bond. Together, they would navigate the path ahead, upholding the legacy of the Inuzuka clan and working towards a brighter future for Konoha.
