The sun was setting at his back, Inaba turned around to face small slivers of red light peaking through the domed buildings of Kumogakure. It wouldn’t be the last time he saw them, he decided, but it would be a long time. All good things come to end, he supposed. Inaba shouldered open the armory door, and walked down the long hall to where his locker was. He stripped himself of any shinobi clothing and hung them in his locker, untied the knot of his head band, and slipped it into a pocket. Lilac eyes glanced back in his mirror. All roads came to an end one way or another. That’s just how it was. A year back home, all of which had been wasted, Inaba was no closer to finding his father’s killer. The locker let out a metallic squeal as he closed it shut.

Inaba walked to the Raikage's empty office, and placed a note on his desk, then walked out into the city.
