~ She listened to Hinoishi explain his own interpretation of the crows. The association between the Uchiha and the crow seemed to root in the essence of the crow and their own Sharingan which she had only one situation in person and had read about in an anatomy book. She decided to not protest against the idea that she wouldn't remember his words as she quickly found the benefit of him speaking freely. The story he decided to share his origin story which was riddled with loss, anguish, and eventually love and redemption. The life of the Uchiha seemed chaotic to say the least but she expected nothing less from the holders of one of the most powerful and feared dojutsu known to man. When Hinoishi looked back, her grey eyes shifted from the wooden sculpture to his face before she'd offer him a small smile of acknowledgment. Finally, it had become the moment of truth as the judge started to overlook the crafts but not before Yusuke had moved over to her and Hinoishi and lightened the mood in his typical goofy way. Sumiko had to admit that his monkey sculpture seemed to be embued with the Sarutobi's goodwill and energy which starkly contrasted that of Hinoshi's sculpture of darkness and redemption.~

~ Her intoxicated state had diffused a considerable amount to where the haziness of her mind was no longer overwhelming and her vision started to resharpen. She honestly found herself to be excited about the outcome and even a bit excited about having spent her time doing something else other than training like she tended to do. While she wasn't one to partake in alcohol due to the horrible taste and the odd sensation that she currently experienced; Sumiko felt that the unbreakable iron wall had been lowered for the first time in a while and the fear of vulnerability around others didn't seem that strange to her anymore. . . had she made friends? Her thoughts were interrupted by the judge choosing Hinoishi's sculpture as the winner. Sumiko found herself clapping in unions with Yusuke as Hinoishi accepted the bragging right of being "Suna's up and coming artist".

~ This pleasant surge of energy was short-lived as each of the genin shared the common feeling of exhaustion due to them having literally spent most of the day together. The kunoichi released a soft yawn just before Hinoshi pointed out her grown fatigue which prompted her to roll her eyes. Most of her tiredness came from the weight of the alcohol and her body trying to quickly get rid of it but she trusted that if she had a few more moments and avoided her mom enough to get to her room that chaos could be avoided.~

" I need to get going quickly. . . my mom's shift at the hospital ends in an hour."

~ Sumiko thought out loud as the boys readied themselves to leave and Hinoishi led the way. She'd look up to Yusuke who offered to guide her once again but this time she realized that instead of his hand. . . he offered his shoulder to her. Was it pure coincidence or did he actually pay attention to her non-verbal form of communication? Sumiko couldn't help but feel a bit impressed by him and even though she felt that she was getting better the offer would be great to allow her to focus more on clearing her mind and getting home scott-free. With that Sumiko stood to her feet before placing her hand upon Yusuke's shoulder and nodding to him.~

" Lead the Way. . ."

~ With that Yusuke and Sumiko caught up with Hinoishi as then left the fairgrounds but not before being treated by the beautiful hue of the setting sun which caused the girl to gasp in amazement.~

(thought) " The Ancestors smile down on us. . . I believe something amazing is in the works."
