Re: Kumo Escape Room

The world outside the compound was still revolving as it should, the darkness of the night enveloping everything it could, beaten back only by artificial lighting. Inside the compound the situation was different, there was no part smothered in darkness. Braziers full of dry wood was lit all other the old church. Bringing light and heat to every corner, making Ryu's job of sneaking easier due to the Hiding in Camoflague technique. Normally the absence of darkness and stagnant shadows would be a detriment, but since his technique hid him from sight and only other forms of sensing him were available he was aided. The crackling of the constant fires held within the braziers muffled the sound of his bare feet on the ground and his scent was blocked by the decent masking technique.
The orphaned Nara was positioned against the railing on the second floor, overlooking the hallway that led into the main area of the abandoned church, this open circular area was where the main group of cultists was and where they were enacting whatever heinous ritual they were attempting. The upper concourse of this building was less of another floor and more of a walkway that allowed for another tier of viewing down into the main room of the church. As such Ryu hoped that there would be less foot traffic up here.
Ryu was barely in earshot to listen to the plan but he got the just of it. The leader and deputy of the village would enter the room and gather some more information, at a predetermined signal (which Ryu did not quite catch) they would then engage the rest of the cultists. Ryu did not know what the signal was but he was sure he would be able to make do with what he already knew. Knowing his man it was unlikely going to be something extremely subtle.
The former lightning's shadow had lost sight of the fourth member of their group, but the genin appeared to be capable.
"I can smell you, defiler," A high-pitched voice said within close proximity to Ryu. His attention snapped round to the sound of the voice, his Sharingan now adding its level of detection to the byakugan, however, there was still no sight of the being who just spoke. Shit, the thought raced through Ryu's mind as he felt a force grip the shoulders of his borrowed track jacket. Due to the way Ryu was poised against the railing and the way his weight sat in his squatting position he had no way to reverse or fight against the force that was brought to bear on him. Effortlessly whatever being had detected Ryu picked him up and flung him against the outer wall of the building.
Ryu crashed into the wall and let out a frustrated cry as pain shot through his body from his shoulder, which impacted the wall first. He had impacted the stone wall several feet up and then crashed down onto his side. As soon as the initial shock had passed he pushed himself up quickly and started to form handseals. Rat → Monkey → Dragon→ Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare. Ryu made an audible tsk as his invisibility technique faded and he became visible to the whole world again. Whatever technique his opponent was using was superior in every way to his technique. It was able to hide him from the sensory abilities of the byakugan and the sharingan. Had he let his other senses slip and depended on the pair of doujutsu he held? he shook the thought away as he concentrated on the hear and now, his reflection would have to come later.
The Nara's shadow started to flicker and darken in color, becoming more of an oily black. A split second after he had finished the handseals it shot outward in a sphere. half of it spread out in front of him across the walkway that he was on and the other half started to spread across the wall behind him, this continued until it reached a 10m radius from his current position and would move with him as the center point if needed. The opponent in front of him was not visible but if he had not moved he would be caught by the shadow. As the spreading shadow reached the banister of the walkway Ryu activated its paralyzing ability. "You think you can hold me?" The high-pitched voice screamed with a moderate amount of anger behind it. As soon as the being spoke he started to become visible again, the technique he was using was dropping, and immediately following it was a flood of chakra throughout his whole system. Using the sharingans ability, that could now see the man's chakra system he could see that the man had opened the third gate.
As the man activated the third gate, he had a sudden surge of strength, and he was able to move slightly, even though he should have been paralyzed by the shadow. Now that Ryu could see the being he was indeed one of the paler-skinned vampires that they had been warned about. He was massive and broad-shouldered, probably nearing seven feet tall and adequately wide for a well-built man of that height. He was clothed in a similar robe to the rest of them and now that the sensory blocking field had dropped he was able to smell dried blood from the man.
"You will be my next sacrifice" The man screamed in his high-pitched voice, a frenzy appearing to take over him. Ryu's vision allowed him to notice that the man was flooding chakra through his spine to the opening point for the fourth gate. Judging by his own knowledge of the gates he knew that he would gain enough strength to break out of his shadow imitation field. Ryu acted quickly and switched his hands to the bird handseal. The shadow started to contort and grouped together at five different points, those points darkened and tendrils of shadow shot out of them and aimed for the now free vampire. At the same time, the vampire had retrieved a weapon from inside his robe and the metal spike had extended outward and he took three steps forward and attempted to stab at the face of Ryu. The Nara certainly was not as strong as the man but he was many times faster. Ryu dropped his weight on one knee and sailed past the blade as it impacted to where his nose had just been, at the same time the five individual spikes impaled the vampire. one in each of his thighs one in his right arm one through his left peck and the fifth and final shadow spike through his neck.
Ryu rolled to his right and got some distance from the vampire. His opponent was held in place but still laughed maniacally, clearly, he had some form of damage resistance, or dare he say it immortality. Ryu brought his left arm backward and coiled it inward, the flesh along the outer of his arm started to contort and change color before an ax was formed from it. Ryu then pushed off from his back foot and started to sprint towards the vampire, his laugher finally turned sour as he side-eyed him. Realizing what was about to happen to him. Ryu pushed off the ground so that he was of equal height to the man and cleanly sliced through the man's neck with his ax arm. The man still screamed obscenities at Ryu as his head detached from his body and sailed cleanly out of the building through an old stained glass window.
Ryu landed on his feet and skidded to a stop. He did not need to turn to see his handiwork as his byakugan was still activated. Apparently, his fight here had garnered the attention of some other cultists as now a group of three normal-looking cultists was rushing him from around the other end of the walkway. "Maximum effort" Ryu ushered under his breath. Tattoo-like marking appeared around his eyes and spread across his face and then down the rest of his body, nature chakra was pulled in naturally from around him and he now utilized it to enter his pure sage mode. Ryu's vigor and speed were boosted to insane levels as he felt the pain in his shoulders leave and his stamina appeared to be refreshed.
Ryu dropped down into a fighting stance, distributing his weight more evenly across both his feet. His arm still sported the ax shot across his body as a blade of chakra shot forward from it and cut up the first two cultists that charged him, they never stood a chance and were dead before they even realized anything had happened. The third was more capable and was able to narrowly dodge the attack. The man closed in and threw a wild haymaker at Ryu but he dipped his weight further to one side and dodged the blow, he then brought his arm up and caught the man's wrist. At the same time, he shifted his weight forward and upwards and took the man's momentum and used it against him. The pair tumbled over the banister and crashed down to the first floor, Ryu extended his arm so that when they landed his elbow was punished up to and under the man's chin, his throat being crushed on their landing.
Ryu pushed himself to his feet as he was now on the level with the rest of his party which had dealt with the adversaries. Ryu made several handseals Tiger - Boar - Dog - Rat, followed by several more Hare > Ox > Dragon, and placed a seal on his throat that would protect him if anything went untoward in the near future.

The room exploded into action. The final objective was now in full motion, and soon to be successfully executed. With a group of such superior Kumogakure shinobi, not excluding the fact that even the Lord Raikage was along side them, there was nothing that could stop them. They were unstoppable.
The two lads that drew the room's entire attention with their great entrance, gave Meika a huge opportunity to take advantage of a surprise attack. The lower class cultists that was just kneeling close within her range had done jumped up to get in action. They was ready to close around Ichigo and Nobo, but she wasn't going to just allow that to happen.
While the two lads shown their advances of sheer incredible strength, the young lass was more of a rogue that relied on stealth, and quickness. The low class cultists had their back turned on her and their attention were focused on the two bulls of fury. Meika darted towards a pair of the cultists, sliding right in between them as her hands skillfully snatch the daggers from their own sheaths. The two cultists only had a brief moment to react in surprise, before each dagger was driven home up into the bottom of their jaw. Easily slicing into the soft flesh. Their bodies dropped to the floor.
An eruption followed shortly after, that distorted the room for the groups advantage. It wasn't one of Meika's techniques, or one that she was familiar with. But she knew that anything her group members did could be trusted as an advantage to their mission.
After her performance with executing her two first cultists, a few heads turned to face her. Now realizing that her identity was also fake. "Be ready to meet your twisted fate. You all only deserve to be carnage, and nothing more." The cloak disguise fell from her shoulders and onto the ground at her feet. May the floors bathe with the unholy crimson.
Three of the cultists quickly advanced towards her. Their fingers grabbed at the daggers from their waists. Meika slowly backed up, her stolen daggers still tight within her grasp. A few steps back and something hit against her heel. The kunoichi quickly glanced back to the a sort of washing bowl behind her. It was a steel bowl that contained contaminated water. Possibly had been used to clean some of their "sacrifice instruments". "Lovely" Tha dagger dropped to the ground and her hands instantly weaved the correct signs of her planned technique. The water from the wash bowl raised from its metal container, and formed into five needles. The Mizu Senbons stuck the three cultists. Two of the fell to the ground stunned, and the other one still advanced. Only to meet the end of one of the daggers that she was quick to retrieve from her feet. It's blade was driven into his jugular from below.
The two stunned cultists was given the chance to jump to their feet as she drove the daggers into their cheeks and slashed across. Ichigo ordered to not hold back, so the kunoichi knew to show no mercy. "Not even the crows will want to feast upon your twisted corpses." Her words were harsh but still spoken with formality. "There will be no rest until this ends for good." Because that was their job. To end this forsaken nightmare once and for all.
The corruption will not be allowed to continue from this alter. The only blood being shed was the cultists, and Jashin.
Blue lightning flashed upon the shadows of the room. chasing away the darkness as the Deptuy exposed his powers. The colors were beautiful as it clashed with the red robes of the cultists. The raven - haired kunoichi wove upon the engraved red robes. Her crimson daggers painted with their life force, as she claimed their lives upon her hands. Her face shown no emotion for each set of eyes that faded to blank. Their life was meaningless to her. They didn't deserve her empathy. All they deserve was the pain of her daggers. To fall to the floor and join the gates of each sacrafice they've made. They were worth nothing.
Her daggers danced with the light of the lightning. Dropping the low cultists as if they were flies and nothing more. The kunoichi occupied herself with them and left the stronger ones to both the deputy and the lord. Wondering how the third party was doing.
She knew not to bite off more than she could chew, since the fact that they were far more experienced then her. But that wasn't going to stop her from putting all that she could in this fight. The would keep the minions of the middle party off their backs as much as she could.
There were a moment that the lass received a fresh cut upon the smoothness of her cheek. Beads of blood trickled along her chin but her pace didn't falter. Instead her phantom eyes burned with it, and her veins pumped even more with the adrenaline. It felt as if she could dance forever as long as a dagger was driven where it was meant to.
Until nothin else was within their way, and the ground littered with the red cloaks of lifeless cultists. Meika's body grew heavy as she ceased from being a adrenaline driven shinobi. Shaken from the crash of exhausted that followed from the fight. She was soaked with crimson. and only had a moment to glance up at the others with her lips panting for breath, before the whole room shattered. The room of death no longer being of existence. The Jashin had finally fallen. Their nightmare finally came to an end. - Exit and completed -
