Meet and Greet

Kouma yawned slightly as he watched the sun rise over the horizon while walking towards the gates of the village, as he had another mission waiting for him there. He wanted to get there early, and he was the type of person that on time to him meant ten minutes early, and this was to happen in the early morning. This mission involved simply standing guard at the gate, and make sure that the people that entered the village were supposed to be there, and this was a very easy mission in Kouma's eyes, as there was no one that would want to sneak into the village, or at least he thought, as the village was heavily fortified. This did not mean that there was no possibility at all, and thus the job of a gate guard was essential, and Kouma was determined to try his hardest and be the best him he could be at the job, and so the first step of that was showing up to the guard tower early, and handing in the mission statement to the guard that was already there. these were usually queens men that were here, and they simply supervised the genin and sometimes chuunin that were relegated to these sort of menial tasks, as they were the ones that did all of the paper work, made up visitor passes, and made the actual check lists that the genin had to compare the passes to in order for those that wished to enter the village to actually enter. It seemed that most of the people that were entering the village were here to sell things to the village from far away places, perhaps even other villages, and this made Kouma excited at the prospect of seeing fun and new interesting things he had never seen before. sadly, he could not buy any of the things right then and there, as that would be taking advantage of the actual customers that they were going to go and see later in the day when they actually set their stands up in the market area, but Kouma knew what the rules were, and simply started doing his job. It was fairly easy, he had a list of things that he had to ask the people that wanted to enter the village, and he would check to make sure they were telling the truth, whether this was through id badges or simply looking on their faces to see if they were nervous or something was out of the ordinary, but so far Kouma's day was rather simple. He had a shift that was early in the morning, meaning the people there were not really anything other than merchants wanting to get the best spot in the market area, and soon the shift was over, and the queens man that handled him gave him a token signifying that he had completed the mission, so that he could leave and report back and get his rewards. Kouma gave a quick nod to the guard and thanked him for the service, before getting out of there.
