How To Train Your Katon [Fu]

"The city of wonders."

With his arms held high he would take in a deep breath of air as the gates closed behind, Fu and Wan finally within the walls of Sunagakure after being let in by Mizuki. He would slowly clinch his fists while pulling his arms back in, slowly allowing them to fall back into position alongside his body as he exhaled slowly, a momentary action he believed would help set the tone of the village during their stay. Manifesting good vibrations was key for everything going according to plan, and if the universe was to be disturbed then so would his walk of life. "I believe she said the inn was right up the road. let's go ahead and call it a night, that way we can start tomorrow as soon as possible." It was a long journey from Fire to Wind, even longer for Wan since he had made the route twice now, and the two of them didn't even know how long their next would be. His feet weren't as wary as most would be traversing the terrain, well, that goes for tourists anyway. The natives of course were used to it, but during his years of being in Wind Wan had grown found to it as well. Following the road forward he would continue with Fu, making their way to the inn known as 'The Desert Rose'.

The building design itself have it away as it is the place they were looking for. It was among the tallest in its area, the beloved and renowned Inn fashioned at the top to resemble its name perfectly: a desert rose. Once the two of them were inside the inner beauty matched the outside flawlessly, if not more. It was so modernized and...clean if that was the word. Far greater than any building in Konohagakure, and if that wasn't the case then the only place a build like this would survive in Kono would be over in the Hyuga district. It was certainly giving off Wind Country vibes, but the feeling of comfort was also present as the two knew that they would have a wonderful place to lay their heads tonight. He'd check in with the needed credintials, just giving his and Fu's name alongside the size room requested. "Uh...anything with two beds?" he would ask.

The gate made a solid thud noise as it closed behind them- ensuring those within the gates that the entrance to the village was now secured from the outside world. Wan had finally caught up to Fu and they were now walking at the same pace of speed. Fu was not interested in whatever breathing exercises the boy was doing, instead her eyes darted from person to person, building to building, taking in all of the subtle and non-subtle ways the village differed from what she was used to back ‘home’.

 

The sun had now almost fully set- casting large shadows of the two as they traversed foreign streets towards a suggested place to rest their heads for the night. Fu agreed with Wan and she was eager to get to bed so that they could get to business tomorrow and could start seeing what this village had to offer. The girl was not specifically excited to meet the Kazekage based off what Wan had told her about him, but none the less, she understood meeting him was apart of their list of things to accomplish while here. Specifically- Fu was more interested in divulging in the local cuisine and spirits as well as researching the environment and the organisms that inhabited such a terrain. She was a hunter after all. She was also eager to find work which she hoped the Kazekage would allow her to do while here.

 

The two finally arrived what appeared to be their destination for the night. It wasn’t that hard to find considering the building was amongst some of the tallest in the area and was fashioned with some sort of architecture at the top of the building which was modeled after the buildings name, ‘The Desert Rose’. It was beautiful. Modern. The outside of the building- sleek with small red lanterns which provided illumination and lit the building up beautifully from the outside.

 

“Oh wow Wan! It’s beautiful!” she would say, admiring the architecture of the building they would be calling home for their time here. “This might even be out of your price range!” she poked at him as she pushed ahead of him into the lobby of the hotel. The lobby of the hotel matched the outside- following a modern concept. There was music playing in the background which provided a welcoming ambiance but was not too loud that caused it to be the center of attention in the room- it was a perfect pairing.

 

The two approached the front desk which was manned by a single woman who was dressed well and maintain perfect posture as one would expect from a luxurious hotel. Wan handed her their credentials and when it came time to pick lodging arrangements, Fu would interrupt Wan before he could respond. “We’ll take two rooms right next to each other please! On him- of course.” Hinting to the woman that their lodging expenses would be on him- he did ‘liberate’ her after all. The woman entered in the information and provided the two with their own room keys.

 

Making their way to their rooms- Fu would assure Wan she was ready for tomorrows activities- despite not knowing what they may be. “I’ll be ready bright and early waiting for you to be ready. Just knock when you’re ready to go. Have a goodnight sleep.” Fu winked at him before slipping into her own room and letting the door close behind her. After getting her things in order she would quickly climb into bed and go to sleep for she was excited for the days ahead and exhausted from their long journey.

That next morning was a blessed morning, Wan waking up bright and early feeling more refreshed than he has in months. Sitting up in his bed he rubs his eyes gently with his palm, the soft light of the sun shining through the blinds as the Senju begins to stretch. He yawned ever-so-slightly, clearing his nasal passage with a quick gust of air as he hops out the bed, heading over to the bathroom of the room he was in. He slept naked so there was no need for him to undress, making the whole process of taking a shower about 10 seconds easier than someone who slept with pajamas. Turning on the water of the shower he realized that it was hot water, the young lord conditioned to having to bath in cool rivers and lakes from his various journeys around the world, honestly forgetting that baths are normally taken hot rather than cold. Such a simple 'luxury', but one that brought a grin on his face as he began to laugh, slashing his hand back and forth through the spritz of water coming from the showerhead. He hopped in and immediately rushed his head under the stream, scrubbing his hair vigorously with just water before applying the shampoo that was issued to every room. He applied the conditioner as prompted and then went on to wash his entire body, the scent of Vanilla-Bean body wash filling the room up with its aromatic beauty. He stayed in the shower for about 20 minutes, hopping out to dry off before changing into a fresh change of clothes.

Now that his funds were looking up he could afford to live more lavish than he previously did, and the first way he decided to execute this privilege was with nice clothes. He had got in contact with another resident of the inn who was a vendor of designer goods, and once the guy realized he was in the presence of the Hokage he wasted no time trying to get Wan to purchase some items. Wan ended up purchasing a beautiful robe set, one that was unlike the traditional or common fashion worn around the world. It was made fully of Silk-Satin, a two-piece garment that included both the robe and shorts, both of which were a jet black with golden dragons printed as the designs, both claimed to be made of 24k gold material. It cost him a couple thousand and he wasn't sure if this was a bargain or some conman getting over on him but he didn't quite care. He had more than enough money to indulge in, and given that he truly did not see the currency as a material worth dying over he didn't quite care how he spent it. Checking himself out in the mirror it fits him perfectly, just as the man had told him it would. He flexed his muscles to himself, winking at his reflection as his charisma steady builds, the Senju feeling himself more today than any day in the past. "Looking good, Wan. I mean, 'Lord Hokage'." he would say, the finger guns getting busted out as he chuckles at the joke he made, giving himself one last look before heading out the door, ready to meet with Fu to start yet another amazing day.

Fu was given the room right next to his, rather convenient for them both but also convenient for the manager of the hotel as well, if his goal was to keep the tourists in a centralized location. "Morning Fu!" Wan would yell, knocking on the door of the girl after giving her the first words of the morning. "You up yet?" he would ask through the door, not sure if Fu herself was still asleep or already out and about enjoying her stay in Sunagakure, leaving Wan to be the last one to wake up. either way, he would continue to talk through the door, still waiting for an answer in case she could hear him. "I heard there are a few clubs around the village, I thought we could spend a day putting pleasure before business." He'd wait for words from Fu, feeling around in the air for her chakra to notice if she was anywhere else other than her room.

"Well, last time I wasn't even here long enough to take a piss. Got side-tracked and headed straight for Konohagakure." Wan answered a question given to him by Fu as the both of them exited out The Desert Rose, the two of them embarking on a journey through Sunagakure in search of entertainment, something that the Senju frankly didn't know truly existed in the village. His answer was honest, his last visit to this region is short-lived as he ended up may flying back into the desert, gathering his brother Ghost before the two of them embarked to Fire Country together. As they walked through the village he took a look around them, a few restaurants easily spotted here and there but nothing catching the eye that spelled 'fun'. He and Fu were getting a few looks themselves, but the young lord fully expected them given how fashionable the two of them currently looked. They had the outsider look, their attire being nothing like the commoners of the village but Wan did not worry. His only concern was that Fu still felt comfortable in the village, hoping that she wasn't feeling frightened by the vicious looks they were receiving. "To be honest, places like this can only be navigated to the fullest if you break out of your comfort zone. Gotta start asking around to find things, that's how I made it to Sunagakure, to begin with." As the two trudged on he noticed a group of girls sitting down at an outside restaurant, one where all food is prepared and eaten outside. Noticing them dressed rather fashionably he assumed that it was a special occasion for their attire, tapping Fu on her shoulder as he points in their direction to show Fu. "Look at them. They're dressed like their going to a party."

The Senju began to walk over to the group of girls, their laughter and drunken speech muffling the arrival of the man as he closed the distance between them. "Excuse me." he would say, standing a few feet away as he waited for them to place attention on him. They didn't notice him at first, probably due to them not hearing him over how loud they were conversating, so he asked again. "Ladies. The Wan and only has arrived." he said, running his hands through his hair as he pushes it back, gently straightening the wild growth to look more pleasurable in the eyes of a woman. One of the girls turned their attention to the direction of his voice, noticing the rather sharp-dressed Senju before calling forth the attention of her friends. They all looked the way of Wan, staring the high-fashioned dressed Hokage up and down with a look of curiosity and arousal. His abs were not fully toned but noticeable, the open-robe swaying in the wind perfectly as he let off a gentle smile at the group, a small wave following. "I and my left hand were wondering if any of you knew where we could find some entertainment. We're tourists and were looking to have some fun while here." The girls were caught up in the looks of Wan, completely negating the question asked until one of them returned with a flirtatious response. "You won't need your left-hand tonight. You can have the real thing if you want." she would giggle, the lot of them following the gesture as they run-up to the Senju, placing their hands all over his body as he stands in place and watches. "Not my literal left hand." he would reply, chuckling to himself as he watched the women show interest in his physique and appearance. "I mean my close friend, her, and I were wondering if there was a bar or club nearby."

Hearing that he was being accompanied by another woman drew the flock of women away instantly, the 5 of them taking a step back as the scoffed at the Senju. He was taken back by how soon they left, guessing that they didn't like the fact that he was traveling with Fu, for reasons unknown to him. Must've pissed them off that they believed him and Fu to be in some form of relationship, but it didn't quite matter to him. He was, after all, just looking for a club. As the group walked away he watched them before his eyes shifted to the table they sat. A piece of paper was left with their uncompleted meals, and upon investigating it Wan found out it was a promo flyer for a club. Seemed like there was a party going on in a few minutes at a nearby club, just around the corner and probably where the women were going. He picked the flyer up and returned to Fu, showing her about the party happening in a few. "I think I've found our fun for tonight." he would say, looking over at the group of girls turning the corner before he took out after them. "Come on, let's show them how Fu and Wan turn up." He would take off in the direction the girls went, hoping that Fu followed along.

Reaching the Club the two of them could tell that it was going to be one helluva party. The line was backed up to nearly the corner they had come around, the group of girls being the last ones in the line to wait for entrance. "Shit," he said, looking at the crowd of people gathered as he began to wonder how long it would take the two of them to get in. "We'll be here for hours waiting to get in. There has to be another way." The Senju began to think of ways to escalate the procedure of gaining entrance when suddenly a rather smart idea came to him. He would extend his arm and elbow outward into the direction of Fu, a gesture meant for when a woman is to intertwine her arm between the man's as a formal way of walking together, or dancing. "Walk with me, Fu. We're going to use the royalty card." He would hope that Fu would take his arm and hold it, the two of them giving off the illusion of being a couple as he would guide her to the front of the line. At the door stood two security guards, checking the I.D of all who enter as well as serving for allowing V.I.Ps to enter first. "V.I.P?" the man would ask, looking at the two of them up and down as he began to wonder the age of them. "Wan Senju, Hokage of Konohagakure no Sato." Wan would say, reaching inside his pocket and pulling out a small piece of paper labeling his authenticity as Hokage. "This is my wife, Queen Fu of Fire Country, a feudal lord whose hunted monsters and the tailed beasts since she first could walk. I'm sure you've heard of our arrival, no?" The guard looked at Wan again, taking another brief look at Fu as he checked the list he had in his hand. "Sorry, no Hokage or 'Feudal Lord' on the list." Immediately after hearing this, he would dig back in his pockets, pulling out a rather hefty stack of Ryo before tossing it at the guard to catch. "Check again?" the Senju would ask, the guard shocked by how much money was thrown his way. He looked at Wan before looking at his list again, then reached over to un-fasten to rope that blocked the entrance of the club. "Hokage Wan and Queen Fu. We thought you guys weren't coming, the club is waiting for you now." he would say, allowing the two to pass freely through the ropes and into the entrance of the club, Wan slightly nodding as he entered in with Fu.

Despite the two not entirely fitting in- it did not bother Fu. They had been granted access to the village so anyone who had a problem with them would be fair play- if they did not start it that is. Fu was still not entirely sure of how the village worked. “You’re not wrong. So where should we start?” Fu would ask. The two continued to navigate until they came across a group of women sitting outside. They were dressed well and apparently inebriated. The best way to get information is from loose lips so mingling with the locals was a good place to start. Wan approached the table, Fu following close behind him, and he would crack a joke which would call forth their attention. They were more focused on him- or his body and paid little attention to her. The girls were clearly interested in Wan and his appearance and showing him all the attention in the world- which sort of annoyed Fu. One girl made a light joke about sleeping with him tonight if he wanted which really annoyed her, but she did her best not to show it. Fu instinctively placed her hand on the hilt of her weapon, gripping it and then releasing her grip. She really wanted to pull forth The Blue August and cut her in half, but she figured that would probably be counterproductive. Wan then informed the group that Fu was his close friend and it calmed her temptations of murder as well as repelled the drunk women who were drooling over him. After they left Wan motioned to the table and grabbed a promotional flyer for a nearby club and suggested they go. Still feeling a little flustered about the encounter, she would mutter a few words “Y-yeah sure!” -agreeing to tag along.

 

Luckily for the two the club wasn’t far from where they just were- however upon arrival it appeared their luck had run out. The line outside of the club was almost around the building and Fu was not a very patient person. Fu was not too worried though- she was with the Hokage after all. She linked arms with the man which caused her to blush and followed him to the front of the line. Wan introduced her as royalty and his wife- which really caused her face to turn bright red. She turned her head to the side and away from the guards so that they could not see her expression and Wan continued to barter with the security to let them in. After a few stacks of Ryo the security finally granted them entrance and had them lead inside to one of their finest tables in the back. Fu would slide into the booth and quickly order their finest bottle of Saki. “One bottle of your finest Saki please! I’d prefer something native to this country too- if possible.” Fu was an adventurer after all so she wished to experience new things when she got the chance.

 

After a few minutes, the waitress would return with the bottle she had requested. The waitress herself was very attractive and she was expecting for Wan to use his charm on her as well- for information purposes of course. She placed the bright orange clay sake bottle on the table and poured both of their glasses. Fu would grab hers and wait for Wan to join her. “To new adventures!” Fu would say- proceeding to finish the shot. Now that their spirits were lifted- Fu made it a point to get down to business. “Wife huh? Don’t you think we are moving a bit fast here?” She giggled. “In all seriousness though- when do you plan on going to meet with the Kazekage?” Fu inquired.
