Had a month really gone by since her imprisonment? So much had happened surely it had been longer than that yet if that were true the Hyuuga would've had her first experience with teleportation. The red head found it hard to believe that the person appointed as village leader would be so negligent unless Risako had died. However, that couldn't be the case because Love could still see the seal the girl had placed on her. Perhaps it was Rei who'd died and Love was being tasked with taken two bodies home. Guess we'll find out what this is all about once we get there. The girl thought to herself as she had been escorted to the Hogokage office without shackles. Worst case scenario no one was making it home alive, with what little experience she had with the Akara it would be easy for Love to conclude that no one would ever avenge the three.

Releasing a sigh the red head would walk through the doors to see Valen assuming his new position.

The young woman arrived at his office, someone whom he had wronged to a degree. For he hadn’t intended to let her sit in the palace this long. If he was being honest with himself, he had forgotten about her as he began to take over his new position. With the Summit directly after Kyousuke’s suicide, and Love Sakumo’s arrest due to her disobeying a higher ranking shinobi during an emergency situation. The girl had effectively been out of sight and out of mind. With the events of said Summit hounding his dreams recently, and Hikari’s absence due to the Chunin exams in Konohagakure he had completely forgotten about the young woman who was waiting in the Palace for something to be done with her. It was neglectful, and exceedingly rude. Even if the girl would’ve been treated well in the Palace. On his desk sat two scrolls, one of his contained the cody of Orokana. The other, a signed and sealed missive from himself to the Hokage, Risako Akara. The wax seal bearing the star of Hoshigakure, unbroken and sealing the contents within from prying eyes until it was safely in the hands of the Hokage. 

The missive would explain the full situation pertaining to Orokana, Love, and Rei Yamano. Normally, he would have taken Love’s punishment well in hand personally considering it was his village he had wronged. However after the Summit, and the new cooperation of the villages, granted some were more resigned than others, he felt it best to allow Risako to decide the punishment after giving a thorough explanation of what occured. For now though, it was time to give the pink haired shinobi his undivided attention. “Good morning Love Sakumo. I trust you remember me. I owe you an apology, it was not my intent to keep you in the Palace so long. Things have been.. Hectic.” He would say, choosing the word carefully. “I am sending you home to Konoha, with these two scrolls. One contains the body of Orokana, he passed due to an illness that we have yet been unable to cure. The other is a missive to Risako, your Hokage. Explaining the details of what has occured, what happened with Orokana, as well as the full medical report of one of our previous Hogokage’s who passed away to the same disease. So she may have her own medics compare the notes to prove that we had nothing to do with the boys death. Do you have any questions?” He would ask, his hands steepled in front of him as his gray eyes meeting her white ones.

Love's initial thought was to simply nod when Valen greeted her yet her upbringing wouldn't permit her. So the Hyuuga would respond with, "Morning." As she assumed her second signature stance of one hand on a hip. The girl's eyes followed his words as he described the items laying upon his desk. "How sad." That was all she had to comment on the fate of Orokana as she'd been fully prepared to kill or watch him die before even getting permission to leave Konoha. It would seem as though the Hogokage's apology had been ignored yet, in reality, she held no grudge. His explanation for the disease and how it could be validated was short and sweet. Everything wrapped up neatly except the elephant in the room or rather the lack of another Hyuuga. "What has become of Rei?" The red head would ask her absence being suspicious.

A person of few words. As one himself generally Valen could easily respect such attitude. Upon her question of the other Hyuga that traveled with her he would close his eyes and sigh regrettably. “She.. has come down with the same disease. Her medical records thus far have been included as well. She hasn’t passed on yet, however traveling would surely kill her. If we’re able to find a way to cure her we’ll do so and send her back when she is strong enough to do so. However at this time I cannot let her leave the medical unit she is currently in. We’re doing everything we can. Some survive the disease, others don’t. Only time will tell if she pulls through unless we can create some kind of medical breakthrough.” He would inform her once his eyes had reopened. “I’m sorry, this trip for you turned into a bit of a nightmare. From trying to bring home a traitor, to being imprisoned and potentially losing your comrade. We’ll do everything we can.” He would continue, a note of sympathy in his expression. Finally he’d add “I intend to send a copy of that missive to the Hokage directly via bird. That way she’ll be expecting you.” He would say as he gathered the two scrolls into his hand and held them out to her. 

Once she came to take the scrolls with would raise an eyebrow. “Shall I teleport you directly to the gates? Or would you rather walk? Some don’t enjoy traveling in such a manner.” He would say with a wry grin at the statement. Despite the situation, at times such humour did indeed have a place.

Either this man was a trained actor or he really was disturbed by yet another person developing this disease. Her eyes had been locked on him intensely almost as if she were peering into his soul. Walking up the desk Love would retrieve the scrolls from his outstretched hand. The rise of his brow caused a pinch between her own, he was offering to fast forward her travel. Normally one would want to see their comrade before leaving especially one possing a coveted dojutsu. However, Love had sensed sincerity in his address of the illness. While she would've like to read the missive, as another step in covering bases, if the man before her was lying he'd have to answer to more than one jounin and chuunin. Alas, this situation was nowhere near great enough for petty lies.

With her left hand slipping the scrolls into her weapon pouch the right would rise to meet his in a parting handshake. "Why not?" She replied rhetorically and awaited the ninja magic to consume her.

He’d tap a button on his desk, a minor bit of seal work that lit up a corresponding light on his secretary’s desk. Informing her that he needed her. As he rose the woman would open the door, Natsumi, his normal secretary would enter. While rising he would take a scroll off his belt, a small smile on his face as his own hand rose to claps Love’s in a parting handshake. “Have this sent to Konoha if you would Natsumi.” He would say as his and Love’s hands met and they both disappeared into a flash of light, the pink haired girl being taken to the gate where Valen would see her off safely.
