Well That Can't be Great

Today was a new day, Sakana had thought to himself. He had to get back to his ninja duties: training, teaching, and prepping for his next exams. There was also the matter of taking care of himself, he had eaten so little lately it was getting hard to even walk. Saya still hadn’t returned from Kumo and there was no word from her. Whatever she got herself into it couldn’t have gone well. But today was a new day. Today Sakana was going to return to the outside world.  The Meijin had managed to put on his shorts and pulled his hoddie on over his T-shirt. He would walk over to the stairwell and start to go down. Step by step, one by one. The house was silent other then the steady creek coming from the each step as it made contact with his foot. Kaigo wasn’t home today, he was working. But what Sakana didn’t know was that Kaigo had been collecting all the mail Sakana had gotten and left it on the table.
 
The Meijin would sit on a stool as he picked up the stack, he wasn’t really looking for much, something from Saya would have been nice but he wasn’t expecting anything. Ads, ads, and more ads. But there was something in the middle of the pile that caught his eye, a letter from the kage office. After ripping it open, Sakana discovered that it wasn’t a letter from the kage himself but just a representative from his office. The letter was a summoning for Sakana saying he was needed, and it was urgent. Not having the strength to go today Sakana chugged a bottle of water and collapsed on his couch.
