The Lessons we Learn when we watch and Listen (NK)

Stein was standing six foot and four inches next to a tree, the little opening in the forest was where he told the one called Kaos to meet him if he wanted to learn about his enemy more in detail, but only time will tell if this man truly believed him, or would even bite on the lead at all, Stein's hands would be in his pockets as he stood around waiting, a lit cigarette was hanging from his bottom lip and he would occasionally close his lips around it and take a small drag off of it and would blow the smoke out of his nose like a dragon, this always entertained him for some reason, maybe the thought of being a dragon was always so interesting to him, anyways, time will tell about this Kaos kid would answer his call or not

Kaos stands in the top of a tree, looking out to the east at the gates of Konoha lays. The sun was at high noon, and the guy named Stein had told him to meet him in a clearing off to the north of Konoha, about 20 meters away from where the gates were. Kaos was currently about 50 meters away, an easy distance to reach in no time at all. And Stein had said he would be there all day, if Kaos was curious as to what he meant by he could help and Kaos wasn't ready to go face somebody who could do what that demon could do. They were inspiring, those appendages, but scary as well. 
A soft meow comes from Kaos's right shoulder and he looks at Jeff, who was sitting on his left shoulder. It meows again, and Kaos smiles, reaching up, scratching the cat on the ears, using his right hand, thinking and remembering how they had meet. Kaos shudders a little, thinking, "That image, of this little guy's family's death, reminds me of what this world is truly like. Life is cruel, and we have to find the happiness in everything, even when life is cruel. This little man on my shoulder is the happiness from that life's cruelty."
Jeff meows once again, and Kaos picks him off of his shoulder, holding him in both hands, and jumps to the ground, fifteen meters away, landing next to some of Kaos's equipment that he had left on the ground.He puts Jeff on the ground, and Jeff starts meowing up a storm. He ruffles through the gear, before finding some milk he had bought from a farmer about two or three miles away from Konoha. He gets out a bowl, pouring the milk into the bowl, and Jeff pads over to the bowl, lapping up the milk, drinking slowly, seeming to enjoy the milk. Kaos smiles, dropping to the ground, next to his equipment, before picking up an apple he also got from the farmer as well. He starts crunching on the apple, thinking, "Hmm, I wonder why Stein wants to help so much, I mean, it's curious, he doesn't seem to be from Konoha. I wonder if he has a reason for this, if he wants to try something."
Kaos shakes his head, and says, "Relax, Kaos, He probably just wants to help, nothing more, nothing less."
Kaos finishes eating his apple, and with a sigh, throws the apple into the forest. It sails through the air, before crashing into a tree, making the core break apart. He laughs at that.
He stands up, and his stomach growls. He sighs, and grabs the last of the apples he bought from the farmer. He thinks back to the actual way he bought the apple, with hard work, being a helping hand in the farm. He smiles as he remembers the farmer and his family. The tall farmer, named Joe, the farmer's wife, named Sue, the eldest boy, Jack, married to the fair Nancy, the youngster Nick, with his twin sister Susan. They had been nice, kind and understanding. They had allowed Kaos to work for his food, not bothering to question what he was doing, or why he was didn't say much about himself.
He grins, and then shakes his head. He grabs his equipment, having brought everything out of storage displacement, and begins to sort out what he might critically need, and what he could deal without. He grabs his two katana's sheathes, strapping both onto his back, placing one good katana in the right sheathe, and the other broken katana in the left sheathe. He stabs the other three katanas into the ground. He grabs one scroll, marked weapons, unsealing all the weapons in side. He seals the military pill, chakra scrambler, and two of the wires, keeping one wire out, back into the scroll. He sets the scroll aside, next to the katanas. He grabs the misakibi scroll, throwing it in the air, and doing the hand signs, putting it back into storage displacement. He grabs the other scroll, placing it next to the three katanas and other scroll. He then grabs his kunai, placing them four of them up his sleeve, two of them in sheathes that  he made for them, one coming from one side of his body, the other coming from the other side of his body. He grabs the miscellaneous scroll, sealing the flak jacket and the weapon seekers that he hadn't used yet inside. Kaos places the three of the weapon pouches also inside the miscellaneous scroll, then puts the fourth around his waist, putting the six shuriken, two smoke bombs, two explosive tags, six senbons, the wire he didn't seal up, and the four transmetal kunai within. 
He grabs his mask back on covering his face once more, then placing his goggles over his eyes once more, and grabbing his two transmetal katana and changing them back into their rings and placing them back on his fingers. He also puts his running shoes back on, ready to run fast and wild. He then places the two scrolls he left out, inside of his cloak, into pockets he had the farmer's wife sew into his cloak so he could place his scrolls in there, one scroll on one side, the other on the other side. The farmer's wife had sewn the pockets where no matter how he moved, they wouldn't move or fall out. He then grins, and grabs the last item, his scythe, looking it up and down, making sure everything in it was still in working order for it.
He whistles to Jeff, who had been playing around and attacking the field mice around the trees. Jeff bounds over to Kaos, rubbing himself on Kaos, and purring. Kaos picks Jeff, placing him on his shoulder. James activates his shoes, then using the surface walking jutsu in a interesting way, making it where he channeled the jutsu into his shoulder, and instead of sticking to Jeff, forcing Jeff to Kaos. He then rushes towards the clearing that Stein had mention earlier, the sun still in high noon. Kaos arrives a meter from where the clearing was suppose to be, and he walks bodly into it.
"So, you wanted to see me? Something about, you knowing what the appendages are?" Kaos declares, having stepped into the clearing, and  having seen Stein on the other side of the circular clearing, that Kaos determines to be about eight meters in diameter. Kaos braces himself for whatever the response should be.

The Boy had finally arrived Stein had begun to worry, he noticed the boy was slightly different from when they met earlier that day... was it the Hair style? nope...maybe the hair color? No that seemed the same as before too... The cloak that was new, yeap it was the cloak that made the kid looked different just a bit, but Stein still knew either way this was the kid from the little gathering earlier the one talking about appendages, speaking of what he was talking about the kid got right to the subject they were on before, Appendages, well Stein would let out a sigh and then a "tsk tsk tsk" before he would continue on with his normal stern voice with a mediorcore volume "Well Kid in life you will learn, certain things just do not come free, and this is one of them, Now I am not one for money, no I have other methods of getting that, What I am in for, is knowledge, see I am not a ninja like so many but they have useful knowledge that I do not have, teach me the basic's and I will see about giving you the knowledge I do have about these... Appendages..." and with that Stein would await the kids answer, the beautiful sunny day that had not but a cloud in the sky would have by this point became night, the cloud coverage had increased, the moon shining full, the stars out in the sky, this eerie setting would not help matters as Stein's glasses glared yet again and once more was pushed up, Stein turned his head slightly to the right and let out a devilish grin, this was the stuff he yearned for, Knowledge, giving and receiving, this was Stein's true nature, a thought crossed his mind about learning about this boy more personally, but he pushed the thought to the side, this boy did not have enough meat on his bones to sate his desire to learn about human anatomy and how it differed from one to another, Stein just stood there waiting

Kaos listens to Stein, as he explains he wants knowledge for information, then he thinks, "Crap, forgot the katanas."
He puts a finger up, saying, "Be right back."
He rushes back to his katanas, appearing there in a matter of seconds, grabbing them, sending them into the storage displacement and then he stops and thinks, "Let's do this right."
Kaos then uses the jutsu for body flicker, (speed 135) making himself appear behind Stein, silent and he quickly bends down, doing tiger into Stein's butt, saying, "Lesson one, the most important, protect your blind side."
He uses a thousand years of death on Stein, hoping to launch him up in the air and move five meters away from Kaos, while saying, "Thousand years of DEATH." (oh, i'm doing this to you at 80 speed)
If it worked, he would wait for Stein to recover, before saying, "Not technically a basic jutsu, but a little fun none the less. Heck, I'll even let you do it to me so you can learn it. It's a tiger into the butt, I rather not have it used it on me, but for information about this demon, I will gladly teach you the basics."
He then proceeds over to where Stein had recovered himself, then offer himself to Stein to use the jutsu against himself. He'll resist being launched through the air, if Stein does happen to do it, but the pain in his but he can't really stop. He will then turn and look back at Stein, saying, "Good job."
If Stein doesn't do it, he will say, "Your lost, mate, the only free shot you'll get on me. The rest you'll have to earn yourself, and I don't make myself easy prey."
If Stein manages to dodge the thousand years of death, Kaos would say, "Good job, you know to watch your blind spots.

While he was waiting Stein had moved his hands from his front pockets to his back pockets, with his palms facing out, but the lab coat would have the direction they were facing hidden, so when the kid returned if he had not noticed then the kid could be in for some trouble, the Suddenly the kid Not only returned, but at an angle that placed him heading for behind Stein, this was what stein was expecting, so by the time the kid arrived his tendrils would pierce the pockets and the coat, making two holes, one from each hand, moving at a speed that the kid could read with ease, they would be aimed to the Knee's of the kid, but as he ducked they could possibly pierce the shoulders if he didn't move, not killing blows, but blows to either force the kid to stop his attack by disabling the arms, though he could fix those easily thanks to being a doctor... of sorts, or to make the kid back away, Stein knew it would be a little soon to show, but he was certain the kid would like to see what he was paying for before he paid right? Also maybe this would help to teach the kid a lesson about his future opponent as well, Stein could only hope.

If Kaos continued, his shoulders would be pierced and his arms would halt all movement other then falling limp, But if the kid moved, the tendrils would hit the ground and then retract, well either way they would retract, but one ended with the kid being hurt which the kid could avoid, and the other would end up making the kid a little less useful, but either way made the kid knowlgable which Stein was happy with just that being the end result no matter what.

At that Point Rather Stein was successful or not, Stein would face the kid if he had to and begin to talk to him "was it something like these that the man you fought wielded? If so this is a special Ability through years of research, its called the Earth Grudge Fear Technique, some would call it forbidden, others would call it a blessing, So would you opponent happen to have that ability do you know of?" At that Stein would once again go quiet and waited for the kid's remark once more.

Kaos stops behind Stein, wondering why Stein had put his hands behind him like that. He stops his follow through attack, wondering what Stein was trying to do. As threads launch themselves out of Stein, aiming for his knees, Kaos sidesteps to Stein's left, drawing his katana, silently, stepping back a foot, putting a meter, plus a foot, and three inches away from Stein, and raises the katana horizontal to Stein's neck.
He doesn't make it obvious, and as Stein turns, turning to his right, and facing Kaos, Kaos hears Stein explain what that was. Kaos nods, as Stein was showing Kaos what he was dealing with, Kaos quickly sheathes his katana, and looks at Stein, "No, not like that. It wasn't threads, it was like whole limbs that could be manipulated. But I would like to know more about this earth grudge fear, and maybe, we could trade some stuff for it. Anything that I could use against my enemy would be helpful."
He then says, "Good guess, on me appearing behind you, but missed opportunity for you. I was gonna teach you a jutsu and let you free shot on me. But you've proven that you don't need free shots, so, next jutus to be used. I guess the basic clone technique."
Kaos preforms the necessary hand signs for it, going slow enough for Stein to see it, before two mirror images of himself appear. All three stare at Stein, shifting back and forth completely mirror each other. Kaos ends the jutsu and says, "Good to go? You try it now."

Stein Listened to the boy, it was true, he did not need a free shot on the boy, nor did he want it, in fact he was a little insulted, but understood the boy did not know what he could do till now, so this person had tendrils but not like the ones he showed, then again he only showed one out of many he could produce, but to freely manipulate them, that had to be something different or a master at the tendrils of the earth grudge fear, maybe some derivative of or possibly an armor or weapon utilizing them and allowing them to move? what ever the case this was not what the kid saw, but it would still be useful to the kid for training against for a fight against the man he was seeking to go after.

Then After the kid Re-sheathed his sword, Stein would watch as the kid began the first step to payment for the showing of his skills, first was this technique that seemed to make identical clones, to the point they mimicked the user, so he would mimic the hand sign as well and created his own two clones, Stein was a rather fast learner, so this was a simple technique to master for him rather quickly, he would take a step back to test his theory though, and sure enough, the clones copied him, this might could be useful, but he doesn't know how just yet, he would cancel it and looked to the kid teaching him, and he waited, to see how he did and what Jutsu the Kid could possibly offer next.

Kaos looks at the guy, watching him mimic Kaos's movement, making the clones appear. Kaos shrugs, and thinks, "He's a quick study, I'll give him that, but still, I don't like how he tried to hit me with those thread like things. Oh well."
Kaos, turns away from the guy, quickly doing the substitution hand signs with a stick he could grasp with his hands, turning back to Stein and says, "Okay, next jutsu up is substitution. Kaos takes out a kunai, and hands it to the kid and says, "Go ahead and throw it at me. Don't worry, you won't be able to hit me. It's the next technique. I'll show you the practical use of it first, then the hand signs, then let you try it."
Kaos would move away from the tree line, more into the clearing area. He would pretend to from the hand seals and says, "Okay, go ahead, and try it."
If Stein threw the kunai at Kaos, it would seem like it hit Kaos, but then the illusion would vanish, showing a simple stick, and Kaos would start clapping his hands, and saying, "Good job. You killed the stick."
He would then say, "The jutsu is for preparing yourself. it's hard to substitute away if you don't prepare it first."
He then shows Stein the actual hand signs, before collecting the kunai Stein thrown, and says, "Okay, choose something to swap with, do the jutsu, and then I'll throw this kunai at you when your ready."
Whenver Stein gave the signal to throw the kunai, Kaos would throw it at Stein slowly, not wanting to lose the kunai, by throwing it so fast, and hard as to make it break the stick and fly into the forest."
If Stein didn't throw the kunai at Kaos, or if he never gave the signal for Kaos to throw the kunai, Kaos would goad him on until he did so.
Meanwhile, Jeff, quite, forgotten on Kaos's shoulder, would leap off Kaos's shoulders, whenever Kaos turns to face the forest. Jeff would stumble off into the trees, meowing loudly, and Kaos presumed to be chasing some field mice down to eat.

Stein Watched as the kid turned around and saw his arms move in front of him, Stein even noticed the muscles in Kaos's neck tense and relax, must be doing something with his hands, then suddenly the kid turned around and handed him a Kunai, not needed but alright, and he would wait for the kid to get to the edge of the forest, then he was told to throw the kunai... Well Stein knew the Kunai with his strength would never be fast enough at this point in time to catch the kid off guard, But what the hell, He had nothing to lose, so he would throw the blade as instructed, and sure enough, a puff of smoke and suddenly the kunai struck a stick, and the kid was standing next to him, Rather useful technique that was, and then the kid went on about the proper use of the technique and how to do it, Meh why the hell not.

Stein would look around, and upon not seeing anything he liked headed off into the forest, now maybe the kid would predict this, and maybe not, but while out of site, he found a log and he would form the hand signs the kid told him to do. Then he sent the Sub out of the woods, Shouting to the kid "By the Way we did not get to properly introduce ourselves you may call me Stein, as I prefer most to do, What may I call you?" he would then hold up the stick that was in his hands and shout to him "Will this do?" And then he waited.

The Real Stein would make a howl in the forest and made the sub turn around going what was that, the perfect opportunity arose to do the attack the kid attempted previously, now to see if the kid would take the bate while Stein was watching from the woods, hidden and his Chakra nearly depleted he would feel no more then like a random animal if one was to use chakra sensory.

Kaos watches Stein walk into the forest out of site. Kaos could only guess what he was trying to accomplish. He starts twirling the kunai in his hands as he waits for Stein. Stein walks back out of the forest, with a stick in his hands. He asks if that will do, and Kaos replies sure. A howl comes from the forest, causing Stein to turn around.
Kaos smiles, and says, "You showed your hand, Stein, that's not you. Besides the fact, you've already shown yourself to be crafty, so I'm not going to trust you."
He flips the twirling kuani in the air,  catching the blade, deftly, and without cutting himself. He hurls the kunai at Stein, the hilt first, strong enough that if it was the real Stein, if probably would knock him back, nothing more.
It hits Stein, and as Kaos suspects it changes into a twig. Kaos laughs and says, "Seems you got another basic down, come back out here, so I can show you another basic."
