Trees Aren't For Children - Page 2 Empty Re: Trees Aren't For Children

[Oh salacious! I heard the fish from American Dad say that. 90% sure it means scandalous or the like.]

Having already been ten meters up the tree, Risako heard a lumpy sack of flesh and potatoes smack the ground below her. Turning her head to look down, she would yell out at her teammate. "That was at least thirty feet! You ok?!" Chuckling a bit, she would continue, "I hope you don't get stuck up here with this kid, I'd hate to see you cry!" The kid above her looked as if he had seen ghosts, just sitting there. As she neared him she began to feel that something wasn't right. The child appeared to be propped up against the tree, his arms and legs just dangling. His appendages also had joints? Dafuq? "Lukas! Hurry up here!"

Lukas replied to Risako with, "Yeah, I'm fine. Shut up, and I'm on my way." He then took out two kunai and said "I'm doing this the old fashioned way." He then started climbing the tree, using his kunai as picks. As he was climbing he began talking to Risako. "First of all, I don't cry. Second of all, it was your fault I fell." he began saying. As he approached Risako he noticed she seemed confused. He then said "Whats the matter?" It was then that he noticed that the boy was pale and he was just dangling. "Is he ok?" Lukas said to Risako with worry. Lukas sat there waiting for a response.

Risako was now within arms reach of the child. Grabbing his leg, Risako noticed the kid felt rather stiff and cold. The texture threw her off though, and it suddenly made sense as to why the child wasn't moving. He wasn't a real child. From the look of it, it was a puppet that somehow got stuck up in the tree. Dangling the thing by its foot, Risako shook it at Lukas. Hopefully, he wouldn't think she was doing this to a real child. "Uhhhh...."

Risako had grabbed the child by his leg and him at Lukas. "What the hell is wrong with you!", Lukas screamed at Risako and took the child from her. Once he had the child in his hands, he realized that he was cold and lifeless. "OH MY GOD! IS HE DEAD?", Lukas yelled at Risako. "He can't be dead, they wouldn't have us save a dead kid from a tree. He has to be a puppet. Keep your guard up.", he then said to Risako very seriously. "I think this is a set up. They obviously wanted at least one ninja here, maybe two of us being here scared them away, but still be on guard."

Risako's dark eyes bore right through Lukas' soul, hopefully striking a bit of sense into the boy. Being this hogh, she held the puppet by the ankles with both hands, and started walking down, using the surface walking technique. "I don't see why we should keep our guard up, it's probably just a prank that some kid pulled." After dismounting from the tree, she would head off to turn in the mission.

"Your probably right. I just am a little paranoid." Lukas said as he climbed on to a branch to get out of Risako's way. "Why are you in such a rush? We could just hang here for awhile. I mean I'm gunna stay and watch the sunset, you can join me if you want." Lukas then leaned back on the limb he was on and began to eat a bag of peanuts. "Unless you have somewhere to be of course, do you?" Lukas asked with his mouth full. Lukas would continue munching on his peanuts and wait for a response.
