the cat lady (d-rank mission)

mission specs:

Ryusei groaned. He had just had a semi-exciting mission where he had gotten to use his skills to trap and then actually hit what was going to become a suicide bomber. Now he had been assigned another mission as soon as he had come back. He was not going to get any rest now was he?
At least he had his book with him. The one detailing Earth Spear. He felt it might take him a little while to actually learn the jutsu considering how often he was interrupted by other people. He thumbed through the pages to the last one he had read. Interesting… earth chakra seemed to not have any abilities related to making objects sharper, only stronger. Different from what he had heard of wind and lightning. Ryusei experimentally ran some earth chakra through his hand, which turned a slightly darker shade. He was slowly getting there, but this was going to take some time to figure out.
He closed the book again, putting the small thing in a weapon pouch. He had to find 5 cats because some old woman made the mistake of not sedating them before opening the door to leave the house. Now, the cats were all gone, scattered nobody knew where, and he had to find them all without any getting hurt, regardless of the circumstances they were in. People could be so unreasonable sometimes. Hopefully they would not run off after he had caught them. Perhaps that woman needed a cage for each cat. Then they would be easier to transport. He laughed aloud at the thought, the sound scaring off a short dark shadow that darted away.
The shadow was fast but Ryusei was faster. He pounced on the shadow, which turned out to fit the description of one of the cats listed by the woman on the paper he had. Good. He raced back, and returned the cat to the old woman. Now to find the rest….
Some time later, Ryusei sat down with a thump in the mission office to give his report for the mission. He had successfully completed it, even saving the 5th and 6th cats from an overly enthusiastic biology student with a very long knife. The old woman had been delighted of course, to find out that the next time she lost all her cats, there would be 6 little bundles of fury trying to escape, instead of 5.
