Stat training for Kamiko

”Ah. A perfect day for fishing!” Kamiko stood with both hands planted firmly on the pane, hanging halfway out the window so she could smell the upcoming storm in the early morning air. The day held so much promise of joy, fun and maybe a little mischief if an opportunity arised. Sadly, a knock on the door quickly pulled her back to reality. She knew this short but insistent knock anywhere, and she knew what it meant even before her granny spoke through the door. ”Training. 5 minutes!”

*Dammit!* what should she do? This perfect fishing day would not stay, and who knew when another one would happen. ”Be there in a minute!” She yelled out, while her blue eyes glanced through the room, looking for the one thing she could not go through the day without. *Got'cha!* Luckily her father understood how much she enjoyed fishing, and shared that joy with her, so not only did she had a fishing pole in her room, but more importantly, she had extra roles of fishing line, which she had now grabbed one of. With a last look at the door, her eyes already shining with the anticipation of the hunt to come, she placed a booted foot on the window pane, and jumped straight out from third floor. No way granny could miss that classical sound, so now Kamiko ran to avoid yet another hospital visit. The hunt was on!

Feeling the wind in her face, knowing that as long as she kept in front of GranGran she would be free, was enough for Kamiko to – just for a second – close her eyes, and feel her lips part into a big smile, just before she would throat out her joy for freedom. ”Arooouuuu!!!” Her left hand reached out as she noticed a tall pole for the streetlamps, and though she felt the strain in her muscles, she couldn't help herself, and swung out of sight from her house. She had learned a long time ago not to let this hunt be one of speed. Or strength, or anything else really, because her Granny would catch her faster than a lightning strike, so Kamiko always did whatever she could to change direction often, and this way give her Granny a little workout.

With the turn, she lost a lot momentum, and soon she had to continue in street level, which were just a good, as she could get lost in the crowd. *well... As much as is possible for someone with my style.* But running in street level had a lot of other advantages. Kamiko loved to use her body, and though training – whether it was in the academy or with GranGran – was very tedious, Kamiko actually liked to test her body in different ways. And as an old man slowly walked over the street with a cart in front of him, Kamiko were thankful it was a low cart, and took the jump, legs spread wide while she giggled like a schoolgirl who had just been asked out. As she landed and broke into a run once again, she was very thankful to her thick boots, that let her feel the shock, but took some of pressure, and spaced it out widely. *A little heavy to run from GranGran in, but I really love these boots!*

*Finally!* Though she hadn't gotten far from home yet, Kamiko saw an opportunity she felt the need to use. Upon seeing a small alley she recognized, she turned, only to scurry up a loose drain pipe easy to climb up, and landed in a roll on top the roof focusing on springing into a run as smoothly as possible. She needed to be in constant motion, if she wanted just the slightest chance to outrun the old lady who was after her. *huff, huff, I don't know how she does it in her age. I mean, she over 80! I would think my youth should give me an advantage at least.* Breathing didn't came quite as easy anymore, but Kamiko simply enjoyed herself too much stop. She glanced back and saw a glimpse of a pure white cane, and decided she needed to up the pace.

*Now where is-. There!* Having spotted what she needed, a wide smile crossed the young blonde girl's lips, before she executed her rather daring plan. *now the best way to make a sharp turn left would be...* a booted foot pressed hard down on the ledge of the building, using it to force herself leftover into a jump over the building. Wanting to use the wooden board lying alone right beside her, she used the dynamics to turn in midair, allowing her to see and grab the board as she flew past. As the sky once again lay above her, she aimed for a closed dumpster, slipping the board below her feet, hoping to slide right down the lid.

”EEEiiii--.!” CRASH! Of course it didn't work, to use an old halfway molded board and Kamiko fell straight through the lid and into a filled dumpster, the smell quickly surrounding her. ”Ha....” As the shock subsided, her joy did too, as she heard the clang of her grandmothers cane only a few steps away, as the woman slowly came into view. ”Maybe now you will come willingly?!”

*sigh* ”Yes GranGran.” And as suddenly as it had begun, Kamiko's adventure were over... For now.
