He laughed at maku's joke, though it was a cold obviously faked laughter. She wasn't quite sure what he actually meant but she was certain it was supposed to be funny and she wanted to play along. The moment youka spoke She activated her chakra senses, spanning her vision out to check for chakra signatures. She saw the one as it threw a kunai at youka, and then to her left she saw the one going strait for the caravan. Easy, she thought. She closed her eyes calling out to sorrow with her mind but it wasn't on top of the large moving vehicle that it summoned. Instead the sound of chain could be heard in the distance as the weapon was called just past The middle ninja, right as he was drawing a weapon to throw at her.

 She activated her body flicker technique moving at a stifling speed compared to the idiots sacrificing their lives to scout and as the kunai left her opponents hand two things happened. First he looked down, seeing the scythe fall directly in front of his face. His eyes widened as the intricate metal farm tool slowly drifted downward. It felt like time had slowed down between her and her opponent just long enough for him to take in the intricate designs running up the staff and the beautiful spash of color on the blade, but returned quickly when he realized the designs were souls and the red color running up the cutting edge was same color as blood.  He gave a puzzled look, exclaiming his confusion, and that was the last thing he did. Just as it hit mid level She appeared behind him, her hand holding the hilt of the scythe with the blade raising as she continued her momentum forward at her normal  speed.  "AARRGG" He called out as his head was separated from his body by a combination of her weapon and the forward momentum left over from her body flicker technique. Youka and Kira were handling things well.  Really Kira could be a different person from when he first met her, she now was moving with intent, and true skill.  Well he had to take that back, she always had skill that was for sure, she was now moving with strength and speed.  If he didn't watch himself he would become obsolete to the group.  Hopefully that never happened, he would have to work harder.  While he was watching them he didn't bother to activate his chakra senses, but instead he did nothing.  By nothing, he really didnt do anything, no jutsu, he add even stopped walking, letting the caravan that was still moving make its way in front of him.  He still looked like a pretty thin blonde girl, and with no chakra signature to speak of, he had a plan.  If they kept going the bandits would continue to execute hit and run style warfare.  And while most likely there would be no problems, you never knew when accidents might occur.

Right on que, he felt arms grab him and cover his mouth.  The bandit had grabbed him, and clearly was going to kidnap him.  He let himself go, and told Youka through the mental link he was perfectly fine and let it happen.  As the man ran him back, to what he assumed would be the bandits, headquarters he intended to end this charade in one go.  He trusted Youka to stay with the caravan, and keep Kira there as well in case more bandits attacked. 

Arriving in a camp, there was 8 men.  All hairy burly men, who clearly were dumb as the animals Maku was sure they copulated with.  He let himself be shoved down, roughly.  The biggest, and probably the dumbest, began to speak.  This is what Maku heard "BLAH BLAH BLAH, we rape you you not tell us, BLAH BLAH BLAH".  Creating the translucent blade from nothing, Maku moved at his speed of 180 around the camp.  In that moment, he embraced his inner Picasso, and he painted an abstract only using the color red.  The bandits never had a chance, and in a matter of seconds there was nothing much left.  Maku had lost his chakra suppression the moment he had activated his blade, so if his friends had finished the escort they would come and meet him, if no one showed up in the next few moments, Maku would send a mental message to Youka, and head home to get cleaned up, as he was covered head to toe in the blood, and pieces of his would be attackers, and it would probably take some time to get this all off of him.

Youka was surprised no others came to help out the other three would be attackers. They had probably noticed the extent of their folly and decided it was best not to attack, which was a very good idea. Youka decided it was time to deal with the other guy before finishing up and heading to collect the reward money. Focusing on the seal he had put onthe mans body who was running away he would snap his fingers together and in the distance there would be an explosion of guts and blood. "Kira, Maku will be fine and we are finished here, lets head back please" he would say.

Her eyes grew wide as she saw the female figure maku had transformed into get taken. Her mind raced with thoughts about what to do and exactly how best to save him. Surely youka would step in, though she always had this sneaking suspicion that he might accidentally kill the captor and captee in a situation like that. She took two steps forward at a run before stopping dead in her tracks at youka's words. She hated the idea, no matter what and had resolved to fight against the decision no matter the cost, except perhaps if it meant her life. 

    "What? but why?!" she felt the need to help maku more intensely that anything she could ever remember feeling before. stronger then the sorrow, stronger then the fear, and stronger then the will to survive. Maku was someone she trusted and a part of the team and in her mind you dont let team mates get captured. She continued to make hand jestures at youka, though her mind never actually formed the words to go with each, until she realized that perhaps maku had planned it. It was likely he wanted to get himself captured to take care of the problem at it's source. She felt stupid to be sure.
