Night on the Plain [nk]

BOOM! Kozai splashed down in the new Land of the Moon, which he had heard was the home of the enormous village Tengakure. Hmm, the village hidden in skyscrapers, huh? Kozai didn't have time to stop there, it was supposed to be onwards and outwards. He might stop there later, if he had more time. He whistled as he walked through the small forests and plains through the Land of the Moon. At one point, he reached an extremely large plains. Hmm... How interesting. On the fair side, the grass grew more thickly, so Kozai stayed where he was and looked around. It was a pretty windy area, which was bad. Kozai stretched out with his mind's eye, reaching over the prairie. Whew! Not so shabby! He found that there was no one in sight. Well... no one within ten kilometers? Hot damn, he was all alone. He created a disk of water from the grass and ground. Stepping onto it and using the surface walking jutsu to stay on top of said disk, he floated about 2 feet above the ground, being careful not to trip or fall, even though he wasn't very far from the ground. He remembered how long it had taken him to master even that, with his jutsu the Water Heavens Convergence.
It had taken a lot of effort, with careful balance and proper calculation for the disk creation required for such a thing. He felt so good after he had finally mastered it, that he had taken a break from training and learning for a whole day, and just simply slept. That had been relaxing to help his body recover, and totally worth it. Above him, the sun was about to sink below the horizon, signalling the end of the day and the beginning of the long period known as night. It got significantly colder on the prairie at night, but Kozai knew that, a a member of the Yuki clan, he could not be killed by cold weather. So, although it was slightly uncomfortable, it wasn't really an inconvenience. He sat in the shelter of a large dirt mound, and looked at the stars. They were much more visible and very plentiful in the uncivilized countryside. However, he had the feeling that if he went into the village of skyscapers, he wouldn't be able to see many of these, as the light  from the buildings would most likely blot them out. Kozai sighed, enjoying the view. If he looked closely enough, he could even see the vague outline of the milky way. He sighed contentedly, happy with his life. He was now so fast, he could go around the world and see everything without breaking a sweat. He was glad he had been born in the clan he was. He leaned back against the dirt pile... which then exploded.
It was the lair of some wild beast that had been sleeping. It looked like some kind of sick cross between a rabbit, a mole, and a pirahna.  He gritted his teeth, and body flickered backwards while throwing a couple of ice spikes into the beast's eyes. The beast took the hit like a fool, and roared with fury, charging blindly at Kozai. Kozai dodged with ease.
"Don't run at me like that, mongrel!" Spear after spear of ice would materialize at thin air and fly at the mongrel over and over again. The spears were massively sharp and fast, and would skewer his adversary through the body repeatedly. However, as the beast perished, it let out an enormous howl. As the beast died, nothing happened. 
But then.... a horde of the same species burst forth from the ground, yelping and howling. Kozai got back onto his water disk, and soared 19 meters up, furrowing his brow. So, his kindred were back for retribution, huh? He would have to deal with them similarly. "Dogs! You can just die! Who the hell do you think I am?"
He raised his hand, and ice spears rained down from the sky at the beasts howling at him below. He aimed carefully for their hearts, but found it hard not to give in to excessiveness and simply spear them everywhere and anywhere. After a few seconds of ice spear throwing, the beasts were vanquished.
"Way to go, animals, ruining a perfectly good night." Kozai flew over the prairie, thinking about nature turning against man. Hopefully, such a catastrophe wouldn't happen. He didn't want to think about the consequences of nature turning against mankind. That would probably cause the end of the world. He didn't want to have to think about how quickly humans would be forced into a survival situation. He was so occupied with his thought that he almost didn't see Near's chakra being erased in the edge of his sensory. Well well.... it looks like the arrogant bastard's designs had come to an end. It was now time to hightail it home.

Haru walking through the plains of Tengakure, looking for a place to nap, as he usually did. His chakra was being suppressed by a new technique he had learned recently after his promotion, and he found it quite useful for sneaking around. In the distance, about 400 meters away, he spotted a person… strange. It was awfully far out… He activated his byakugan and sharingan, “Zooming in” on him….  Quite a large chakra signature that this one had. He would take off at his full speed, circling the boy quickly, too fast for him to track by conventional means. As he ran, he pulled his out a spine, waited a split second to regenerate, and pulled out another. Stopping directly behind him, he would hold hold both weapons in a relaxed grip, his expression a sarcastic glare. His robes gave a faint green glow as the siren’s song began to echo in the distance, though it was mostly just for the intimidation factor.
”What’s up?” He asked. The distance between them was 20 meters. He casually walked towards Kozai. ”Wanna tell me why you’re so far out in the fields?” He asked, a superior tone clear in his voice. He loved having authority. It gave him freedom to be as much of an asshole as he pleased, without fear of consequences.

Kozai was standing on his water platform in the air, just about to leave. However, some ninja came whizzing out of nowhere to appear 20 meters away from him on the ground. Whoa, where did he come from? He had these weird glowing robes too. Kozai looked down with some consternation. This guy was hella fast! "Hello, I'm just passing by on my way north back home. I rested here for the night, but I was ambushed by wild hairless digging rabbit-werewolves, as you can see. Did you need something?"

”Get down to ground level, now. And state your village, because you’re not hiding the fact that you’re a ninja all that well, kid.” He demanded. If the boy did not obey him within a few moments of his demand being given, he would stick his right sword into the dirt, swiping his right hand in Kozai’s direction, and firing five finger bones in the form of bullets at Kozai, each aimed at his center of mass. If he obeyed and came to the ground, he would ask ”Now, do you have permission to be on our land?” Inquisitively, keeping the hostile demeanor for show. He was enjoying this quite a bit.

Kozai would immediately descend, and stand about 12 meters away from the other person. He seemed to be pretty serious. "I'm a ninja from Iwagakure... as I said, I was passing through to get back to my home village. And I'm sorry about being on this plain without permission; I had no idea that then entire Land of the Moon was privatized by Tengakure." Kozai really didn't know that; now he hoped that the consquences would not be too severe.

Haru would raise an eyebrow. He was from Iwagakure… Tengakure got their major status from them, if memory served him… That could be dangerous... What if he was a scout, trying to find weaknesses in the villages defenses, or plan a path to advance to conquer the village? He couldn’t have that…
”Alright, everything seems to be in order.” He said to Kozai, before releasing a huge burst of physical energy, his fury of the storm technique activated. ”-Is what I would say if I bought your story.” He would finish in his dark, echoey voice, bringing up his right sword quickly. An arm would be lopped off at the elbow, Kozai’s left arm. Haru would then move back quickly, at speeds too fast for Kozai to track, giving the impression he was teleporting. ”Run home, and next time, don’t look like you’re planning an attack on my village.” He would warn, tossing him a roll containing 4 meters worth of bandages, before stopping 10 meters away from him, and pointing to the arm the would now be laying on the ground. ”Take that with you, don’t spill a drop of blood on our soil, or I’ll run you through!” He threatened. Once Kozai bandaged the wound and picked up the arm, Haru would drop the swords swinging his hands and releasing bullet shaped bones from his hands, hurling ten of them, one at a time, at Kozai’s feet, making sure the message was clear: He would not tolerate someone “Just passing through” on such suspicious circumstances. If the boy ran, Haru would watch him with his byakugan, making sure he did indeed leave the village.

Kozai gritted his teeth, furious. How dare he steal a whole limb! In terms of reparations, a couple of fingers would be fine, but A WHOLE LIMB! Kozai sealed up the bandages with ice, and flew away at maximum speed with his arm. One day, he hoped he would be able to get that limb back.... in fact, if he could get enough money, he could potentially do so, as he had a chemical that could regrow his limb. Kozai gritted his teeth again, and left as quickly as possible.

Haru smiled as Kozai ran. He might have been harsh, but that arm can get sewn back on, and a ninja was bound to get injured like that eventually. Also, he didn’t give a flying fuck.
”Dance, fucker, dance!” He shouted as he fired drilling bullets at Kozai’s feet. What an awesome moment that was. He shrugged, turning and walking back to the village. That had sure killed his good mood.
