First time out

Charmander was startled at first when everything when dark. He heard Tee say from somewhere inside the darkness "use your other senses besides sight to help guide you in this darkness encasement." then heard a light thud in front of him. He bent down and felt around, finding the Kunai. Standing again Charmander closed his eyes. He tried to listen intently, his ears seemed to ache from the strain. He wasn't sure what do do next. He didn't want to make a move in case he gave off some sound that alerted Tee. He slowly as silently moved his head from left to right, trying to catch the smallest sound within the darkness.

Tee almost laughed watching as Charmander was helpless in his darkness but he remained still nonetheless. Tee could easily see him due to his byakugan which was one of the only two doujutsu Tee knew of that could penetrate his darkness dome. Tee decided to toy with Charmander by perhaps launching ninja tools at him or even just attacking him with his darkness but then Kurasa came to mind and Tee decided against using his free formed darkness. Tee would look around the ground for something he could perhaps launch at Charmander, he found a stick on the ground and lobbed it rather slowly at Charmander at only about 10 speed.

Charmander heard Tee move and pick up something then heard it moving through the air. Char would dive to the left, rolling to avoid whatever it was thrown at him. He completed the roll by springing back up on his feet and dashing towards the spot he thought Tee was. It was clear to Char now that Tee could some how see in this darkness. He held tightly onto the Kunai he had been given, his grip so the blade was downwards. It was unlikely that he would run into Tee, but was hoping that Tee might move, seeing Charmander running, and make some noise Char could follow.

Tee wouldn't move, no Tee decided he would simply do something to avoid getting hit without moving, as his opponent rushed toward him most likely following the sound he had made Tee would simply stand there to see if Charmander had the balls to actually swing at him once he had reached Tee or would he simply stand there like a chicken and wimp out of the attack. This would show Tee in a way if Charmander was worthy of becoming a ninja or not, but there were plenty of other ways to tell this as well.

As Charmander dashed at where he thought his opponent would be, he didn't hear anything except his own running feet. The slight sound from before was the only hint of where Tee was however so Charmander continued his charge. He would lower his shoulder, hoping to feel an impact soon. He was starting to get an uneasy feeling that usually accompanies the dark. He was sure that at any moment Tee would strike out at him from the darkness, and Charmander felt slightly helpless to do anything about it. This small fear gave his feet just a little extra speed. Charmander just hoped that whatever happened, if he ran into Tee or Tee attacked, he hoped it would happen soon.

Tee would be disappointed in Charmander as he had done what Tee did not want him to do, Tee expected Charmander to use the kunai to his advantage, I mean Tee didn't give him the kunai just for shits and giggles apparently Tee gave him the kunai to actually use it. Tee watched as Charmander charged at him with his shoulder lowered, Tee would show him the error of his ways, once Charmander got close enough at about arms length away Tee would outstretch his hand and lift his pinky, index and ring finger upward while leaving his thumb straight and his middle finger resting on his thumb charged back in a plucking position. Once Charmander got close Tee would pluck the shit out of him on his forehead but only using half of his strength because if Tee had used his full power it would most likely give Charmander a concussion or something serious. This would simply launch Charmander back a few meters and perhaps leave him with a headache for a few days but nothing severe. Once this occurred if it wasn't interrupted Tee would look at Charmander as he flew and would say loud enough for him to hear "I gave you a kunai for a reason..... use it." Tee would then allow his dome to disappear as quickly as it had formed, it had been out there for long enough and it was no longer necessary to keep it up, it was obvious Charmander couldn't handle fighting Tee while also not being able to see. Should all this have happened according to plan Charmander should have either just been getting up or laying on the floor 10 meters from him.

Charmander was picking himself up. The sudden brightness more startling than the darkness had been. His head was pounding now, from the hit to his forehead and the brightness filling his eyes. He could hear Tee talking but only caught the 'use it' remark. He looked at the kunai still clenched tightly in his hand. Memories of the night his mother had cut him flooded into his mind, fear and sadness and pain. But he wouldn't let go or drop the kunai. he was determined to fight the pain and fear.What kind of ninja couldn't use a ninja tool. Hot angry tears started to threaten to break from his eyes. Only Charmander's will kept them back. He looked across the ten meters to where Tee was standing. Charmander didn't want to hurt him, but he felt confident that Tee wouldn't let him land a hit anyway. So Charmander dashed again, covering the ten meters quickly and slashing at Tee's stomach and mid section. He would expect Tee to block and if he did Char planned to follow up with a kick from the opposite direction as his slash. He did not know what he would do if Tee dodged but he would come up with that plan if that happened.

Tee watched as Charmander was launched and it was rather funny to see him ragdoll like he did but it was whatever, Tee definitely wouldn't need to use his special darkness and wouldn't if it would prevent Kurasa from taking over. Tee would watch as Charmander would charge at him with the kunai he had given to Charmander. It seemed Charmander had actually been listening to Tee and decided to charge at him with the kunai clenched tightly which indicated to Tee he had an intent on using it. Tee stood there waiting for the rather slow Charmander to reach him and see what he would do with the kunai. As Charmander slashed it seemed that he was aiming for Tee's stomach area or perhaps somewhere lower or a bit higher, of course Tee wouldn't allow himself to get stabbed in the stomach, instead Tee would lower his arm and bend his hand so that it would face the tip of the kunai before it would even reach his stomach. Tee's intent was to allow the kunai to pierce his hand perhaps digging in pretty deep and creating a big hand wound with a bunch of blood. Tee was sure that it would take Charmander off guard and that was partially the lesson Tee would be trying to get across in that action. He wanted to make sure Charmander didn't hesitate no matter what his opponent threw at him or did and that was a lesson best learned early. Tee would then if the kunai actually stuck in his hand would pull his hand back out of the kunai blood dripping and all. He would then reach for the kunai and attempt to grab it from Charmander if Charmander held on he would be flung toward Tee hitting his body and would most likely hurt himself because Tee was just boss like that and if he let got Tee would simply be holding the kunai in the same bloodied up hand he would have gotten stabbed with.

By this time anything touching it would sting and definitely would not feel good against an open wound but Tee had to resist the pain to prove a point and teach Charmander a lesson. Then with the kunai in hand Tee would slash toward Charmander's left arm not aiming deep but only deep enough to leave a cut that would leave a gash and would need to be treated properly or it would become a scar, then Tee would slash again in the same spot creating a T on Charmander's arm should the attack land simply to mess with him.

Charmander hadn't expected Tee to take the hit, in fact it shocked him. He watched, stunned as Tee's hand was impaled on the kunai. Then when he took his hand back, bloody, Charmander's eyes widened. He had to shake his head a little to keep from panicking. The last time he had seen so much blood it had been coming from his own face. The memories threatened to flood Charmander's mind. He held onto reality but only just. He couldn't believe it when Tee was reaching for the kunai with his stabbed hand. Charmander would try to jump back away from Tee before he could grab onto the kunai but would be to slow. As Tee grabbed the kunai, Charmander held on tightly, refusing to give up the only thing he really had for this spar. He was flung into Tee and banged up, Charmander wondered just how strong this guy really was. He couldn't hold his grip and Tee got the kunai from him. Charmander thought his hand must be killing him as Tee gripped the kunai in his injured hand. Charmander couldn't move away fast enough before Tee slashed his arm, cutting the linen wraps he wore on his arm and biting into the flesh below. Then Tee slashed again before Charmander could recover from the first one. Charmander looked at the 'T' mark on his arm, not yet feeling the pain from the shock of the whole experience. If he could talk he would have yelled and screamed. Instead he just looked up at Tee, fire burning in his eyes. It wasn't like he needed more scars. He didn't know what to do now, he didn't know if the spar was over or if Tee expected him to keep trying and failing. Charmander thought he had lost pretty badly already but if his opponent motioned for him to continue, Charmander would. He was angry at himself and at Tee. Himself for being weak, and Tee for scaring him.

As Tee struck Charmander he loved the fiery look in his eyes, it showed Tee he had a passion, a passion that would most definitely take him far in the ninja world Tee dropped the bloodied up kunai that he had held in his left hand dropping it beside him. When Charmander smashed into him from keeping his grip on the kunai he was bound to fall directly in front of Tee due to gravity. Tee looked at his bloodied hand, twisting it and inspecting it as if it were a new toy. Tee would then look over at Charmander yet again liking the fire in his eyes, he would then say, "shall we countinue?" Should he accept Tee would then resort to other tactics to catch Charmander off guard, if Charmander accepted Tee would say to him "come at me as if I killed your mother and father, I want you to really come at me like I raped your mother and threw her aside like scrap. Tee was trying to appeal to his feeling of sadness test and see if his idea would work.
