Shion's First Day at the Academy

Shion arrived at the academy and was registered quickly. The looks of the other kids, some confused and others mocking him for entering at his age did not seem to bother him all that much. His entire goal was to learn about what it meant to be a ninja and maybe come to terms with why his village was destroyed and hy so many people he knew and loved had to die.

The class was short it was mainly an introduction to the basics of hand signs and chakra. Things he had learned from independent study before entering the academy. He left the classroom during lunch and proceeded to head to the training hall which was much better equipt for him than his backyard. Taking some test equipment from the lockers he would begin his normal training of throwing shuriken and kunai at the logs which were built to take a beating more than the bags he had at home which were full of holes and tears.

Breathing calmly he would focus all his effort to hit the center of the circles on the logs. His aim was not the best and he missed more than he hit but he could tell already that he was going to like it here. With free access to open training areas, he could freely train to his heart's content. Spending the lunch break training he ate between sets and when he was done he made sure to put everything back where he had found it.

The next classes were about chakra molding and the history of chakra. As well as the will of fire and what it means to be a konaha ninja. This annoyed Shion to a certain degree but he did his best to ignore it. He did not care about the propaganda being pumped out from the teacher. He only cared about learning more about his village which did not seem to get brought up much in class.

With the final lessons over he went home and continued training. Using what he had learned before classes to practice a few new jutsu. He may not be the biggest fan of the village but he was a fan of the library. Taking a few scrolls from there to study he decided to practice molding his chakra in an effort to stimulate his mind. He had no one who knew genjutsu to train with so he had only his gut feeling when it came to learning the genjutsu release technique. Taking water breaks in between his lessons. He did not take many breaks as he was trying to make up for lost time. Hours would pass as he worked up a sweat it looked like meditation but the stress of constantly channeling chakra in quick succession was a workout like no other for him. Ending the session for the night he decided to take a shower and wander around the training halls of the academy one last time while returning the scrolls to the library.
