Escort Duty - D-Rank Mission
Task:
The mission is simple, you must escort the famous architect, Jamil Proctor to his next project within your country. Along the way though there will be trouble from bandits hired by rival architects, and even some shinobi that want to kidnap Jamil for ransom or some other nefarious deed. Once he makes it to his project he will hand the leader of your group a small scroll to deliver to your mission board for payment.
Be careful because while Jamil never travels alone and always has protection…he has a big mouth and often causes problems wherever he goes. That is the price one pays for their status of being a celebrity.
Kenchi woke up to a bright day, but his mind was occupied with thoughts of his master, Kawashima. As a shinobi, Kenchi always craved challenges and enjoyed solving problems. His ultimate goal was self-growth and becoming the best version of himself. He deeply admired his master and looked up to him as a role model. Kenchi was determined to prove himself as a valuable asset to Hoshigakure. He dreamed of being the kind of person who could protect his loved ones and everyone around him. Despite his dislike of violence and conflicts, Kenchi always aimed for self-improvement, which was the only thing that mattered to him.
He is fiercely devoted to his village and holds his comrades in high regard, especially those close to him. He has undergone rigorous physical training from his parents and master, who instilled in him an unwavering resilience - a quality that has helped him become a splendid shinobi. His strong work ethic and preference for strenuous labour set him apart from his peers. He holds his family and master in the highest esteem and seeks to follow in their footsteps. A martial arts enthusiast, he is always eager to be in the training field, constantly striving to improve his skills and become a better version of himself. He understands that socialising with other shinobi is crucial to his growth and development, and he is eager to interact with the many other skilled and experienced shinobi in his village.
The young man woke excitedly, his vibrant green hair stretching like flames against the pillow. His heart pounded with anticipation as he reached for the letter lying on his bedside table. This was his first mission as a member of an elite group of comrades. As he read through the details, his confidence grew. He was to escort an individual safely to his homeland, a task he had completed. But this time, he felt even more motivated to excel. He couldn't wait to meet the person he would escort and begin the mission. He got out of bed with lively energy and a determined spirit, ready to pursue his goal.
As he headed to the designated point where Jamil would be, he saw a fascinating, tall, and handsome individual. There was something about the person who sparked Kenchi's interest.
Kenchi realised that he had taken on additional responsibilities and knew he had to be prepared for whatever challenges came his way. He understood the importance of maintaining his peak performance as a skilled ninja. However, he also needed to enhance his abilities further and gain more strength. This commitment to becoming an exceptional ninja motivated him, and a smile graced his face as he felt confident that he was progressing towards his goal.
As Kenchi strolled through the bustling village streets, the weight of the mission resting heavy on his mind, he carefully reviewed the list of requirements in his hands. The assignment labelled a D-rank mission seemed straightforward enough - he was tasked with accompanying an older man to a designated location. Kenchi's confidence wavered, however, when he noticed a small, ominous note at the bottom of the paper. It warned that the older man tended to be quite talkative. Tucking the mission list into his pocket, Kenchi set out on his journey, a sense of apprehension tugging at the edges of his thoughts.
Jamil was feeling anxious as he walked into the gates. He had heard great things about this young martial artist, Kenchi. Kenchi greeted him with a warm smile and a confident demeanour as he joined. "Sir, I will ensure you are safe with me.” he said reassuringly. Jamil couldn't help but smile at the young genin's confidence.
Kenchi maintained his unwavering gaze fixed on Jamil, refusing to look away as he expressed his thoughts.
"The name's Kenchi.. soon to be the greatest martial artist," he said elegantly.
Jamil chuckled at Kenchi's bold statement. "Well, I hope so," he replied, "A young kid like you better do his job." Despite his teasing, Jamil couldn't help but be impressed by Kenchi's determination and skill.
The day started with high hopes as he geared up for the crucial task of escorting Jamil. He felt a weight of responsibility, knowing the mission's success depended on him. They entered the day with a light-hearted attitude, sharing moments of laughter and joy, exchanging jokes, and creating an atmosphere full of excitement and anticipation for the day's events. It seemed like it was going to be a truly remarkable day.
But as they approached their destination, they encountered menacing bandits. Kenchi's main goal was to take Jamil to a secure location safely. Still, the situation quickly became more complicated due to Jamil's careless remarks, which seriously threatened their lives. He didn't perceive it as a direct threat but as a sign of disrespect towards himself. He realised that none of these bandits posed any real threat to him.
"What do you want from me, you little brats?" Jamil provocatively taunted the bandits. This wasn't supposed to occur, although he was warned that Jamil was the type of guy to do this.
Kenchi furrowed his brows, crossing his arms as he sternly addressed Jamil. "This is no time for jokes. We are on a critical mission. Stop this act immediately."
Shifting his focus to the bandits, Kenchi warned them with a severe look. "The last man who crossed me and my people regretted it. He ended up in a place no shinobi would dare to go." His words and a sly smirk sent the bandits into a panicked retreat.
After safely reaching their destination, Kenchi made it his top priority to ensure Jamil's security. Although the mission didn't present much of a challenge, he thought. It was more of a warm-up mission. It's just one of those D-rank missions you complete along the way. Now it was time to collect his rewards, grateful for the opportunity. Once the mission was completed, Kenchi disappeared after receiving his payment. Another day in the bag, as many more awaited for him. Ultimately, his actions were in service of the Hei.
