Skill Name: Ten Shadows Technique | Tokusa no Kage Bōjutsu

Backstory: The Ten Shadows Technique is an inherited technique passed down in the Zen’in clan. Using shadows as an intermediary, this technique allows the user to summon ten different shikigami. The Shikigami are monstrous creatures that are summoned/conjured to serve as familiars for users. Shinobi who summon shikigami to aid them in battle are known as Shikigami Users, Shikigami-tsukai.
Shikigami are age-old creations that gave the Zen’in their origins. Mostly these familiars resemble that of normal creatures, with subtle or major differences such as color, design and in some cases they look completely out of this world, some possessing close to humanoid forms, but maintaining their animalistic aesthetic. Normally, they are summoned using mediums like talismans and other methods through a variety of sorcery techniques. Shikigami conjuration is considered to be a type of mythical technique, only known by the Zen’in.
Shikigami themselves are familiars incarnated by their summoner's unique chakra. Summoning shikigami normally requires an intermediary, such as a common talisman. They are generally used to carry out an order in accordance with their conjurer's instructions, and they disappear when the user's technique is released or they are incapacitated. But for those of the Zen’in they possess a means to overcome that restriction. Thus the Ten Shadows Technique was developed, which allows them to collect and summon up to ten different shikigami using their shadows as an intermediary. However, the shikigami of the Ten Shadows Technique operate differently than a shinobi’s simple familiar or summoning.
There is rumors that the Zen’in and Nara are closely related due to their use of shadows, however, the Nara manipulates their shadows to further their combat prowess, where the Zen’in use their shadows as a domain of sorts to house their shikigami, as well as their unique equipment.
In the Zen’in clan Shikigami users are often thought of to be weaker at close range, this makes for a world of difference on the battlefield when it is revealed that the members of this clan are exceptionally verse at close quarters combat, despite their deployment of shikigami. Closing the common knowledge of any mid to long range fighter myth, making the members of this clan quite dangerous to deal with, having many answers for equal scenarios with little to no cons.
The Ten Shadows Technique operates off of a pattern, or system in which the user can obtain them to utilize on battle. A chart that forbids them from skipping steps in the clan. This shows great honor and respect for the clan and its history and its creature as they all share the same laws. Gyokuken -> Nue -> Orochi -> Gama -> Banshō -> Gyokuken・Kon -> Datto -> Madoka -> Kangyū -> Yatsuka-no-Tsurugi Ikaishinshō Makora.
The user must learn master these shikigami in this exact order before they could move to the next summon, there is no exception to this. These are the 10 shadows of the Zen’in. This does not mean that every user of this clan must follow the same creature, meaning the same identical beast to the next. No, they can summon their own monstrosity, but it must be of the same species as the above list. The fundamental shikigami will be apped separately for a better understand of the chart to follow and the capabilities of that shikigami in accordance to their ranks.
Effect: When someone inherits the Ten Shadows Technique, they receive two Divine Dogs, known as Gyokuken. Other shikigami can be summoned with a ritual where it is implied that the user must and have defeated the shikigami in order to make them submit in the list of the charts.
The effect of this skill is that it treats the practical number limit on their summons as 12, in regards to the summoning system of the site.
Unlike other summoning skills, where an S rank summon can only be summoned one at a time, The Ten Shadows Technique allows for the user to summon up to 2 S ranks at once to aide in their affairs. However, this comes at a cost. To maintain both at once the user must pay an upkeep cost to half their cost of initial summons. This is the only way and to miss this payment ic/ooc or what have you will result in both summons being destroyed and out of play for the remainder of the thread.

- Shikigami have a point system that must be followed, each worth a total number of points. You may have up to 12 points worth of active shikigami during a single thread:
E-rank: 1
D-rank: 2
C-rank: 3
B-rank: 4
A-rank: 5
S-rank: 6
Unlike, normal Summoning rules, where you cannot summon to de-summon to regain points, this skill allows for the user to do this merely once per thread, meaning a full refund to their total points. Where usually their points can only be refunded once the current shikigami that is summoned is destroyed by the other party.
