Call the Fire Brigade!

Mission:

It was a super hot and humid morning. The bright sun of Otogakure shone brightly through the window on the face of the young Uchiha who was sleeping. Hanzo woke up with sleep in his eyes. He wiped his eyes and from his bed he could feel the extreme heat of the weather. It wasn't a pleasant morning to start off with, but still the young Uchiha had to rank up soon. His aim to join the Sound Ninja 5, the elite group of shinobi of his village gave him the motivation to get up from his bed. Once the young Genin completes the required amount of missions, he would be considered for the Chunin Exam. The young aspiring Genin took a cold shower to wash off the heat from his body. As he was showering, he thought of a good idea to take whatever mission he can from the Mission Board and complete it efficiently but this time he wanted to take a mission from the C Rank to fulfill the necessary official requirements that could make him rise in rank. He wanted a bit of action since he only had battle experience in one of his C Ranked Mission.

The red haired Uchiha changed into his daily attire that consisted of his sentimental purple scarf that was given to him by his mother shortly before her death. The Genin wanted to use Ninjutsu in his battle hence he removed his Tanto from his back middle shoulder and left it on his table. He left his house feeling exhausted from his previous days of missions. The young Uchiha started walking slowly towards the Otokage Mansion. As he was walking, the purple scarf caressed his face due to the wind and went deep into thoughts about his past. The way his father abused him and his mother which made the young Uchiha develop the Inferiority and Superiority complex. He dismissed the thoughts as he reached the Otokage Mansion. Hanzo stood 1 meter away from the Mission Board that was filled with requests. Just as he was about to choose a mission, the board administrator ran towards Hanzo and stood directly in front of him. He pulled out a mission sheet from his left pants pocket and handed it to the young Genin. The administrator informed that it was an emergency mission and required his assistance immediately. The Uchiha scanned through the details and understood that there was a fire that broke out at an apartment complex and a few people were stuck inside. Listening to that horrific incident brought back a flash of the past to Hanzo's mind.

He started running towards an area of interest. As he was running, the Genin was also worried about the village people nearby the apartment complex. As he was nearing the area, he could see that the fire was raging with a strong black smoke going towards the sky. Since it was early morning, most people were asleep and didn't know what was going on. He was still 3 minutes away from the location. Hanzo used the Surface Walking Technique which he learnt from the Academy, that siphons chakra into his feet to cling on to surfaces. With that he climbed the apartments nearby and jumped from rooftops to rooftops. His mind was puzzled with questions "What could have caused this? Who could have caused this? Are we under some kind of unknown threat or invasion?". The young Uchiha's primary concern was regarding the safety of the people stuck inside the building along with their pets and valuables. Since he didn't have the affinity for Water Release, he hoped that he would be joined by a Shinobi with said skills. Due to his lack of affinity, he had to look for a water source that he could put the fire out with which made the situation tough for the young Genin.

The red haired Uchiha formulated a plan. Firstly, he needs to arrive at the location and get a status report. Secondly, he needs to find a way to extinguish the fire. Thirdly, he needs to evacuate the people inside the building. Lastly, he needs to extinguish the fire. The Uchiha finally arrived at the location and deactivated his Surface Walking Technique. He was just 30 meters from the raging fire. Hanzo was relieved to see that a fire brigade had already set up a perimeter around the building with barricades with a height of 1 meter. The Genin turned to find the emergency crew and spotted them about 15 meters away with an old man in uniform giving orders, most probably their leader. The emergency crew were already helping to move all the people from the building compound out of the area outside of the barricades to protect them from any backlash from the fire. The villagers looked uncomfortable and in distress due to the situation happening around them. Hanzo bolted to the old man "My name is Hanzo Uchiha and I'm here to help you. What is the status report?". The old man turned to look and was surprised by the shinobi. "I’m Captain Yamato. Yes, we have been waiting for someone to help us evacuate the people inside one of the buildings. We have cleared most of them and only one family is totally trapped inside a room in their house". Hanzo was glad that most of them were out and only required to evacuate one family. "What floor are they on?" he asked anxiously. "They are on the 10th floor and the building is getting weak from the fire and it may collapse" the old man uttered.

The young Uchiha was determined to get the family out of trouble. He turned his head to look at the floor they were on. He could see that the window was gushing out with raging flames. He turned back to see what the emergency crew could offer, but all of them were dead beat. Most of them were burnt and had injuries. The rest were too weak to even move since they used up all their energy to clear the people. The young Uchiha could also see that they had run out of water from their water tank. Hanzo tightened his traditional purple belt and jumped over the barricades. He instantly started running towards the building. The red haired Uchiha activated his Sharingan as he was running up the staircase. With his amazing visual prowess, he could see the masses of chakra in the last house. There were 2 big and 2 small chakra masses in the house. He could decipher that there were 2 adults, 1 kid and 1 cat. They were hiding in their bathroom and have locked the door. Hanzo was now in the hall way of the apartment. He could see that the tiles from the ceiling were falling down due to the extreme heat and caused a bigger fire.

From the hallway, Hanzo could hear the crying of the little girl and the mother stuck inside the room with her parents. The red haired Uchiha was determined to rescue them no matter what happened to him. This fire wasn't a joke, this fire was a beast that was devouring the building from the inside. With his great visual prowess, he navigated his route and evaded all the fire sparks and falling debris full of fire. As he was moving, he could really see that his potential with the Sharingan was endless. Finally he reached the location, he was standing right in front of the door but still it was unsafe as only he could evade the fire with his eyes, but not the civilians. He opened the taps of the kitchen sink and filled it up with a huge bucket. As he was filling up the bucket with water, he shouted at the family inside "Open all the taps in the bathroom and let the water flow out". He could hear the rustle inside the bathroom and the mother responded "I am doing that right now, please help my little girl, she is scared”. Hanzo kept flushing the fire out of the bathroom path so he could rescue the family. When finally the path was secured, he broke down the door carefully in order not to accidentally injure anyone inside.

Hanzo was utterly shocked at what he saw. The mother was gripping onto her little girl while the father was lying down drunk on the floor. He could see the skid marks on the floor from his wife dragging him to safety while he was unconscious. Looking at that brought a small flashback of his father coming home drunk to beat Hanzo's mother. He immediately dispersed the thought so he could focus on his rescue mission. "Don't worry I am here now. My name is Hanzo Uchiha and I'll take you to safety" he said to the mother. He took control of the little girl and her feline friend, asking her to tightly grip his neck from his back as Hanzo piggy backed her while holding onto her cat. He informed the mother to wait for his return and to just keep the water running. The young Uchiha smiled at the little girl and comforted her by saying "Instead of crying, you should see the amazing actions I'm going to perform and you will be watching them live". The little girl stopped crying and gave a puzzled look. Hanzo with his visual prowess carefully and cleverly evaded the fire and the falling debris with style and even moved acrobatically just to impress the little girl as a distraction. Witnessing this first hand, the little girl started smiling as it felt like being on a roller coaster. He safely brought her and her cat to the emergency crew without a single dust on her. While handing her over to the crew, he wondered if he should get a pet as well.

The Genin ran back to the house to rescue the rest of them. The little girl’s father was still in a drunken state and slowly woke up not understanding what happened. Just as the drunken man was about to slap his wife for not giving alcohol, Hanzo grabbed his hand and used his Sharingan Genjutsu on the man and made it a nightmare for him. At that moment, Hanzo regretted not awakening his Sharingan at a young age, if not he could have saved his mother from all the abuse and her final death. His eyes were raging with past anger wanting to find his father and to kill him for his mothers death. He dispersed the thought to complete his mission. As the fire was breaking out again and since the building might collapse, Hanzo with all his might carried both of them. He was holding the man in his arms while he piggy backed the mother. With style as usual, he evaded all the fire and falling debris thanks to his visual prowess and reached the emergency crew. As he dropped them off, the crew and the surrounding bystanders applauded the young Genin.

Hanzo released the Sharingan Genjutsu and deactivated his Sharingan. He went close to the ears of the drunk man who was now totally awake. “If you ever raise your hand at your wife again, I will make sure that hand will cease to exist”. The emergency crew who had recovered their strength started spraying down the area with high pressure water as they had filled it up again. The red haired Uchiha helped them by holding down the water hose and to help manipulate the muzzle. Once the fire was extinguished, the building looked really bad and burnt down, like it was about to collapse. The villagers had to relocate temporarily since their home was shut down due to the fire incident. Hanzo walked back to the Otokage Mansion to inform the Administrator of the mission completion and to get his reward. As he was walking, he kept thinking about the family who were trapped in the building. That drunken man was still great compared to his father, who was absolutely crazy. Hanzo really wanted to find his father and to avenge his mother. With his emotions rising high, he could feel his Sharingan being activated automatically. With a huge hatred in his heart for his father, he could feel some tingling sensation in his eyes that was activated with Sharingan. He dispersed the thought as soon as he reached the Administrator Office. The Administrator gave him an envelope that was filled with cash and Hanzo thanked the administrator before leaving home.
