Jak Lee needs training

Jak Lee wakes up to a very loud alarm clock. She throws the covers off of her, turns the alarm off, and yawns and stretches. She quickly goes over the basic morning hygiene stuff, taking care to look her very best for the big day: her first day at the academy! She would bring a small bag with her, taking essentials such as notebooks and pencils. Her excitement levels were to the max. She was ready to learn to become a ninja. The best ninja! The walk from her house to the academy was a short one, and she stood in front of the academy gates for a moment, taking it all in. The scenery was beautiful, as the building was very impressive. She walked inside, was directed by front desk staff to her homeroom, and made her way to the classroom. She put her hand on the sliding door and pulled it open, revealing her class and the teacher inside (whoever wants to be the teacher can hop in.).

A flash of lightning with the vibrating roar of thunder echoed through his silent classroom. It seems the beautiful day that started out as turned into a more sorrowful one. Zunair, the stoic instructor, sat calmly at the front of his classroom grading the papers from a written exam. Sound of creaking wood and the turn of a doorknob, his newly-students began to array in a tittering conglomerate in front of him. It was their first year, in fact, their very first day here. Many of the students are eager to grow past this stage in life. More, though, were anxious over their ability to pass the academy. As simple as it was, it marked the passage to Genin-hood. While this is a nervous time for the students, it is also an exciting step for some of the soon-to-be inspiring shinobi.

Putting his stack of papers into a drawer on his desk, he waited until it was five minutes past the time of arrival before he started speaking to the class. He noted that this year was an exceptionally small class prior than the last ones he had taught. Only coming out to a total of six academy students. But that was to be expected, as for his classes is more advanced and fast paced than the rest of the teachers offer.

"Welcome, welcome!" Zunair announced making eye contact which each and every student that is presented to him. "Today, is the first day...first step in becoming shinobi." He said with a gleeful smile.

"So, before we begin. We're going to go down the row and introduce ourselves. Might as well get that out of the way since we're going to be spending a lot of time together. I'll go first." He said as he rose up from his desk and walked in front of it. "My name is Zunair Hyūga." With that being said, he waved to the first individual on his right, a blonde hair girl that is named Akira Aburame. So on and so forth, the class introduced themselves to everyone.

"With that out of the way, I will tell you a little bit about this class and myself." He said as he rested his backside upon his desk. "This is an advancement class, which means you all have scored incredibly high marks on your entrance exams and were placed with me. With that being said, this class will be face-paced and rigorous. While most classes teach you the basics of the shinobi anatomy and the world, I will teach you much more than that. We will focus on your strengths and weaknesses to mold you into a much more well-rounded shinobi that will aid you and our village once you reach your higher ranks. Any questions?" Zunair asked as she went back to sitting at his desk.

"No questions!"

Jak Lee replied to her new sensei's question excitedly. She was simply excited to get the new school term under way. Perhaps it's because she didn't come from a family of shinobi, but she was incredibly happy to be there. The ninja world was so foreign to her, and she was a little overwhelmed to be a part of it.

Taking the hint as others do so as well, she takes out her notebook and pencil from her backpack, ready to write notes for the first class. She had a green notebook. Leaf green. Because she wanted to be a prosperous leaf shinobi.

"I wonder what today's lesson will be..." she wondered to herself.

“Alright, so shall we get started?” Zunair said as he raised his eyebrow.

"As required by the Academy curriculum, we will start with the basics. Anybody know the three main types of jutsu’s?” Zunair asked. Of course, considering their grades on the entrance exams, they all should know what they were, but it never hurts to ask.

“Yes! They are ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu,” the cheerful blonde known as Akira answered.

“Very good! And what is required to use these types of jutsu’s?” The Hyūga asked as he eyes peered over her students. A few mumbled but others were uncertain before someone finally answered, “chakra!”

“Good…now that is where we will begin. For those that don’t know, chakra is basically a unique energy that exists within every living being. Similar to DNA, every person also has a different chakra signature that is unique to them. That being said, the chakra of people who come from the same family or clan tend to have some similarities that make them different to the other families/clans. By combining their chakra with their innate physical and spiritual energy, one can perform a jutsu.” Zunair said.

“Now that we’ve touched on chakra for a bit, it’s time to talk about the most common type of jutsu on the planet, ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is the art of manipulating the chakra, along with physical and spiritual energy, in order to perform a technique. Other than a mastery of chakra, the overwhelming majority of ninjutsu also requires hand seals. Needless to say, different ninjutsu require different kinds of hand seals.

The application of ninjutsu is practically limitless. As a matter of fact, if you can imagine the kind of effects that you want to achieve, then it is highly likely that you can create a ninjutsu for it. That is why ninjutsu can be used for something as simple as walking on top of water, to produce a giant ball of flame. Additionally, ninjutsu can also be used as a means to heal wounds by a medic ninja, or to look into someone’s mind by a sensor ninja.” Zunair said as he took in a breath as he continued to stare around the room.

“For example…,” he said as he performed the hand seal tiger. Feeling his chakra surge through his veins a whip made of flame formed from his hand and surged through air. Twirling it around his body, he immediately distinguished the flame. “See. Any questions so far?”
